>> it is about speed. i like his idea of a small bill and a larger bill because the problem with one big beautiful bill as it will take months to negotiate. major tax reform is incredibly complicated and cats and dogs have to be herded. members have to be persuaded. he should -- what donald trump is getting is for the first time in his life a political honeymoon. in 2016 they dismissed him as a fluke, and accidental president. he has a popular vote mandate to get things done and brought millions of voters into the gop, working-class voters with promises of a limiting taxes on tips and overtime. what he ought to do is get some momentum, don't wait months to negotiate a bill, get a small bill through which what i would do if i was advising it is say do a build eliminate taxes on tips and over time and pay sort by taxing university and dallas, deliver for the working

>> i agree with this move. i always felt the gain of function research, the risks outweigh the benefits. the proponents of this saying they have to create these superbugs that could wipe out humanity, and come up with defenses against it. the problem is the risk is too great. once you create these things it is inevitable to have some sort of lab leak which we think happened with covid. the idea of studying of them, humans are imperfect and no such thing as perfect security even in high level labs. it's inevitable they will get out on somebody's shoe. i'm in favor halting this. david: brian: does this ai research take the place of gain of function research? swap one for the other over time? >> i think it can. the recent investment in ai can be good.

i have some concerns in watching the press conference the other day, engineering individualized amrna vaccines to battle cancer, i have my concerns about the covid vaccine debacle with the amrna. it has tremendous potential and we might leverage that so we don't do this in the actual lab. brian: doctor dorothy fink, and health communications for the trump administration to review. do they want to take a pause? what do you think of that? >> often happens with new administrations. i think the new way going forward, they should pause and reevaluate messaging because it will be radically different going forward than the last administration which i think is a good thing.
