a federal judge temporarily blocked that until a court hearing monday, but the trump white house says it will continue to stop egregious government waste with. and now the white house is slamming the media's coverage of this saying they botched it. we're is delighted to welcome back fox news senior white house correspondent jacqui heinrich. she's always beating the nation breaking stories. she's live at the white house to clear up this one. what's going on? >> reporter: thank you, liz. yeah, the president declined to take any questions on this as he signed the laken riley act into law. it was an emotional moment with her parents there in the room. but white house officials are telling us that the freeze on funds will remain in effect even though they rescinded that memo from the if office of management and budget talking about it. they say that an injunction that was put in place by a federal judge over that memo effectively blocked communications between agency heads and omb, so that's why they took it back. but they're still moving forward

with plans to block any funding that's at odds with the president's executive orders on foreign aid, american energy, ending dei and immigration. >> we are merely looking at parts of big bureaucracy where there has been tremendous waste and fraud and abuse. and that process we identified and stopped $50 million being sent to gaza a to buy condoms for hamas. $50 million. prescription drugs that can be life-saving prescription drugs, all of those things are kind of the third rail. you don't touch them. so the easiest way to attack donald trump is to lie to the american people and to tell them that donald trump did something even though they know he didn't do it x. i do love the fact that this president came out, had another moment with the press and made it very clear, all of these programs are safe. i'm not touching them temperature and, fine, we'll push back for a second, rescind this, but we're not going to stop the mission. we're going the stop having your tax dollars go to abuse and democratic pork barrel projects all over the world that the american people shouldn't have to pay for. it is really sick the media scared this many people on these programs just to try to win a political war with donald trump. elizabeth: yeah. the hatred of trump is really just deforming the national conversation. >> yeah, it's is sick -- elizabeth: it's a real sickness out there. so, you know, when we saw the numbers, we looked into it and dug in, the federal government
