israel's prime minister benjamin netanyahu. let's listen. >> do you agree with trump's vision of getting the hostages back home if it meant to end the war? >> well i'm not sure that you articulate correctly what the president's vision is. he can speak for himself. he does that very very well. i have my own views. three goals and i will meet all three goals. i think the president can help. >> terrorists who murdered hundreds of people were part of the deal? >> it's a horrible thing. we can't forget it. i'll never forget it and you can't forget it and some people want to put it out of their memory but we're not going to ever let that happen. october 7 was a horrible period of time, and people like to

every picture from every angle, better than if i were there and nobody could live there. you can't live there, so if we can build them through massive amounts of money, supplied by other people, very rich nations, and they are willing to supply it, if we can build something for them and one of the countries that it could be jordan and it could be egypt and other countries, and you could build four or five or six areas. it doesn't have to be one area but you take certain areas and you build really good quality housing, like a beautiful town, like some place where they could live and not die because gaza is a guarantee they are going to end up dying. the same thing will happen again. its happened over and over again and it's going to happen again, as sure as you're standing there, peter. so, i hope that we could do something where they wouldn't want to go back. who would want to go back? they have experienced nothing

it's too dangerous. nobody wants to be there. warriors don't want to be there. soldiers don't want to be there. how can you have people go back? you're saying go back into gaza now? the same thing will happen. it's only death. the best way to do it is go out and get beautiful, open areas, with the sunlight coming through. >> that's not what i meant. >> they are not going to want to go back to gaza. >> prime minister netanyahu what is your message to the families of the hostages to look at the deal and worried this won't go through. what do you say to them at this moment? >> same message i said from the beginning of the war. get them out. get them back. we've got over 70%, close to 75% of the people who everybody believed will not get out, we got them in successive deals and with the help of president trump most recently. we're not giving up on any of them and our other warriors. hamas is not in gaza and we'll get everyone back.
5:09 pm
>> what about reaching phase ii of the cease-fire? how optimistic are you about that happening? >> we'll try. that's one of the things we're going to talk about here. when israel and the united states work together, and president trump and i work together, the chances go up a lot. it's when we don't work together, israel and the united states don't work together, that creates problems. when the other side sees daylight between us and occasionally in the last few years, to put it mildly. then it's more difficult. when we cooperate chances are good. >> say it? >> is it the right time to do it once and for all? >> so you say iran is so weak. i appreciate you saying that. they're not weak. they are very strong and we're not going to allow them to have a nuclear weapon. it's very simple. i signed a very strong

proclamation. iran was in big trouble when i left. they were broke. they didn't have money for hamas. they didn't have any money for hezbollah, yet no problem. october 7 could have never happened. when i left, october 7 could have never happened and frankly, russia and ukraine as i said could never have happened. they became very strong, very fast. they sold massive amounts of oil to china and everybody else who would not buy the oil when i was president because we said don't buy the oil, and they became very rich, very quickly. they're not weak. they aren't weak. doesn't mean they won't be weak but you know what? we just don't want them to have a nuclear weapon. they can't have a nuclear we weapon. >> [overlapping speakers] >> what do you know about anything? >> so if that option is on the table, president trump? is that option on the table? >> you're not just talking about jordan. >> no, it could be other places
5:11 pm
too. there are many people that reached out. many countries and leaders of countries that reached out that would like to participate in that. doesn't have to be jordan and egypt but i think it be also them. >> your relationship with mr. netanyahu had ups and downs. how would you describe it right now? >> i think it's mostly ups. >> [inaudible] >> what? >> the palestinian authority, can it rule gaza, what do you think? >> its had a pretty hard time wouldn't you say? its had a pretty bad time of it. >> mr. president, qatar has criticized in the pastas a funder of terrorism. do you think they are part of a solution or the problem? >> i think they are trying to help. qatar is absolutely trying to help. i know them very well and they are doing everything they can. very tough situation, but they're absolutely trying to help. okay, thank you, very much, everybody.
5:12 pm
>> let's go, guys, thank you. liz: president trump making headlines, meeting with israel's prime minister benjamin netanyahu. let's bring in harvard law professor alan dershowitz. it's great to see you again. let's talk first. the president made headlines. no nuclear weapon for iran. he is israel's leader, benjamin netanyahu said that biden put daylight between the u.s. and israel and that created more danger for the region. can you take on those two issues right now? >> sure. it was a pleasure to see two of my oldest friends together. i've known bb since 1970 and donald trump for a long time. these are two strong, strong leaders who together can really help bring about peace in the middle east. it was thrilling for me to hear from the president of the united states that iran will not, under any circumstances, develop nuclear weapons. look, barack obama told me the same thing, but he broke his promise.
5:13 pm
he had me in the oval office and he made me that promise and he didn't carry it out. i am confident that president trump and benjamin netanyahu together will prevent iran from developing nuclear weapons, and i think the prospects for real peace in the middle east including saudi arabia increase when israel and the united states work together. netanyahu is 100% correct. as soon as they saw daylight, as soon as hamas saw daylight between the biden administration and israel, they took advantage of it and they didn't send the hostages back and delayed the cease-fire and that doesn't come from me. that comes from former secretary of state blinken who said the same thing, so i think today was a great day for peace and great day for israel. liz: president trump is saying that basically joe biden helped iran get its hands-on more oil money, selling oil basically blowing through the u.s. sanctions there, that iran was broke, he said, when he left.
5:14 pm
there was no money for hamas or hezbollah. there was no russia-ukraine war, and so there's that and then we have now, the news coming in. president trump stopped u.s. involvement with the u.n. human rights council and defunded the u.n. aid unit. some of the staffers accused of funding terrorists including the terror attack on israel by hamas. >> well, of course no decent person should be funding the u.n. council on human wrongs. it's like funding the kkk. you have countries like iran running the council. they condemn only israel and the united states and they never ever condemn the countries that commit genocide, so i'm very happy that the united states is getting out of the u.n. council and human rights. liz: yeah, they've been accused of whitewashing human rights abusers for years including nations like unwa and the u.n.
5:15 pm
human rights, including nations like iran so when you look at this , the president was also talking about relocating people out of gaza. now, media is not going to cover this. we're getting information from d.c. sources that trump is absolutely correct. gaza is filled with land mines, boobie traps, ied's and it's extremely dangerous and now the headlines are trump wants to rip people in gaza away from their homes and it's not what's going on. he's saying it's unsafe to live there and he wants to relocate them to places like egypt or jordan, so this is to your point the president being a leader. a president showing leadership where people in d.c. have said to the "evening edit" that they have felt they had zero leadership in the middle east for years under biden. >> you're 100% right. look this shows great imagination. it's possibly, i don't know if it's possible, gaza could be cleared for two years. all of the tunnels can be
5:16 pm
dismantled. buildings could be built. gaza could become the mediterranean and it could be what israel left it in 2005 and hamas took it over and turned it into an open-air prison, as if israel had something to do with it. it's hamas. if you could start from scratch and get the people even temporarily out of gaza, rebuild it from scratch, no tunnels, no rockets, and only people who are not terrorists, not members of hamas, that could be a game changer in the middle east and maybe it could be the establishment of a peaceful palestinian, that be a good thing for the palestinian people. liz: it's really thinking outside of the box, here, thank you, alan dershowitz, for being with us again. it's good to see you. let's turn to this story. was a crucial day for trump cabinet nominees, rfk jr. and tulsi gabbard advanced out of committees to be confirmed and we're monitoring
5:17 pm
the confirmation vote for a.g. pick pam bondi. let's bring in congressman russel frye. great to see you again. what do you make of the news on this today. the democrats in the media were reportedly not confirmed but it looks like tulsi gabbard and rfk jr. are going to head to a confirmation vote. what do you think will happen? >> well i think if they clear the committees i think that's a very good sign for trump's picks to be confirmed by the broader senate. i think the committee structure seems to be the biggest litmus test as far as i'm concerned that if they could make it through that, that on the floor, that they would succeed and so i think it's a promising day for the president and for these nominees. look, i mean, democrats don't have the votes in the senate. republicans have 53 and so you know, you could afford to lose one or two but going through these committees and this process where the bulk of the questioning is a lot of senators concerned about these nominees now coming on board and supporting the president's picks is a good sign. liz: so separate issue.
5:18 pm
the story of the nine fbi agents. the nine fbi agents who filed a class action suit against the justice department for having to sign a questionnaire saying if they worked on the january 6 case or the trump classified docs case where there was a raid on trump's mar-a-lago. we're hearing 5,000 fbi agents worked on january 6? i mean, we have house homeland security committee reports say there are jihad plots in 30 u.s. states. we had an afghan national who wanted to do an election day bombing in oklahoma city. we still have 2,000, more than 2,000 terrorists were caught crossing the u.s. border under the biden white house but you put what? 40% of fbi agents on january 6? >> i think it's just a mistake of priorities and the american people are rightly frustrated when they see this. we need to return the fbi and the department of justice back to their critical mission of keeping our community safe. they don't do that for four years so this president will do
5:19 pm
