more efficient government that we need. liz: we've got more on that cspan caller giving president trump an a grade in his agenda. gop congressman burgess owens will join us with his reaction but first to this news. let's get right to it. grady trimble is standing by live on what just went down with president trump and elon musk in the oval office. grady what's the latest good to see you. reporter: good to see you too, liz. president trump signed an executive order that directs agencies to work with the department of government efficiency to cut staff and limit hiring with the goal of significantly reducing the size of the federal government. the order says agency heads will coordinate with and consult with doge to shrink the size of the federal workforce and limit hiring to essential positions. it also says when the federal hiring freeze expires, agencies will be able to hire no more than one employee for every four employees that leave the federal service, with some exceptions for law enforcement, public safety et cetera.

why federal workers who make like six figure salaries, maybe 150k, why all of a sudden they are worth millions of dollars in net worth maybe tens of millions and he said he's looking into that. they are rattling the cage there and let's get to this. ned, it's against federal law to provide support to terrorists. it's punishable with up to 20 years in jail and fines. it's a crime under the federal law. but we've got this report that usaid paid for the college tuition for al qaeda terrorists to go to colorado state university. he was connected to terror plots against americans, he was killed in a drone strike under obama in 2011 in yemen plus the report usaid aid packages were found in a gun pile for hezbollah and lebanon. >> well its been taking place for years, actually, liz is usaid is spending millions funding groups that have known ties to terrorist groups and also funding groups trying to

massive corruption in d.c.? >> well what we're seeing and i guess the democrats are telling us don't believe our lying eyes. what's happening and i'll encourage them to keep digging down and keep the process up because what's happening across our country, republicans and independents and democrats are realizing this party is for them. they aren't used to accountability and for the first time we have somebody saying you will be held accountable. we expect the american people to come first. they are, it's driving them nuts so we're on the right pace and we'll win bigger if they continue. liz: congressman does it feel like things are changing already in washington? >> yeah, i would say the biggest thing is this hope, there's excitement, there's a unity we have not had, i've never felt here because american people expect certain things and we have a leader that has high expectations and he's thinking outside the box and fining out what america first truly looks like so it's exciting here. i just can't wait to continue this process and we have a good, it's only three weeks, liz.

it brings people together in meaningful ways. liz: welcome back. now to this controversy. fema is accused of wasting taxpayer money on illegal aliens in a border crisis joe biden and his white house blew out to historic proportions. now president trump and acting head of fema put a stop to it. that money will help americans in disasters. fox news nate foy live in new york city with the story. nate good to see you again. reporter: hey, liz, good to see you. so yeah, the funding has been cut off at least the payments have been suspended and already, four fema workers have been fired for sending $59 million to new york city last week to care for illegal migrants in the city. among the people fired, the former chief financial officer of fema, and president donald trump is reacting on

truth social today with some criticism for former president joe biden writing "the biden-run fema has been a disaster. it has been slow and totally ineffective. " elon musk says the payment made to new york city last week contradicts president trump's executive order requiring a fema review. musk also claims that it appears the biden administration cifoned funds from social security to pay for illegals. the department of homeland security says under president trump and secretary noem's leadership dhs will not allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of american people. according to new york city, of the $59 million received, 19 million went to hotels for migrants, 26 million paid for food and security, and 13 million went to the shelter system and migrant services, numbers that elicited this reaction from a north carolina resident impacted by

wolf. what was your reaction when you heard all of that? >> yeah, well look this is dangerous stuff. the leaking of operational details, particularly on a law enforcement mission, it's not in consequential and it's not only irresponsible but as tom homan said, it can be criminal, so look. i'm all for trying to find who leaked these operational details and if it's inside dhs, or it's inside the fbi, or a variety of other law enforcement agencies, i think they need to be held accountable. i think it's important to remember. dhs is allowing and asking for atf help, fbi help, dea help and other law enforcement. every time you do that, you open the aperture for folks that know about that operation and then obviously, the opportunities to leak also magnify as well so i think that it's important to find this individual or individuals and hold them accountable. absolutely. liz: we're talking about really serious people, like criminals out of ms-13 and tren de aragua

out of venezuela and transnational criminal gangs doing things like home invasion robberies, murders, kidnapping and rape, including assaults on women and children. so, what do you make of this story? let's turn to this. venezuela's communist leader maduro is sending planes to pick-up hundreds of venezuelans in the us illegally. we have nations in europe, and the middle east arresting people who cross illegally. this is about bringing back the rule of law and we have hispanic leaders and mayors nationwide saying democrats and the media are fear mongering. let's get your reaction to that. what do you make of venezuela sending planes to pick-up illegal aliens? >> well, look. i would say this is what leadership looks like with president trump. we've been told for three and a half to four years that you could not return individuals back to venezuela. you could not return them to other countries around the world because their leaders just simply wouldn't take them, but you have president trump in office for a handful of weeks and he sends rick grinell down there to negotiate and the end

liz: welcome back. the backlash growing against judges appointed by bill clinton, joe biden, or barack obama, blocking the trump agenda and doge. this includes the trump buyouts for federal government workers who want to work-from-home and not come back into the office.

let's please take you to alexandria hoff standing by live in washington d.c. great to see you again. reporter: great to see you as well liz. that's right. some accepted this offer didn't want to give up the remote work and many were planning on retiring but their status is in limbo. a federal judge in boston issued a ruling that stops the president's federal buyout program at least for now. the buyout is a downsizing effort that gives federal workers opportunity to resign with pay and benefits continuing through september 30. so far approximately 65,000 federal workers have taken the deal. the lawsuit against it was brought on by unions representing workers claiming that the administration lacks the authority to make such an offer. the president thinks his plan though will prevail. >> i've got elected on making government better, more efficient and smaller and that's what we're doing, and i think it was a very generous buyout actually. reporter: now, another judge in rhode island demanded compliance

for technology like cell phones. we want to get to this news. let's bring in congresswoman claudia tenney from house ways and means. congresswoman, we know you're very busy. we appreciate you so much taking time to join us tonight. is there a peace deal in the works between russia and ukraine that can involve a land swap from ukraine to russia? is that in the works? >> well i can't speak to that. that's something the white house and also just something i don't know the details of but i love president trump's negotiating understanding of the way we're looking at foreign aid as something that is strategically important to the united states. we're not going to just hand money out. we're going to make sure that there's an even exchange, that we get something in return for the generosity of the american taxpayers. look at what ukraine has to offer. it's the reason russia wants ukraine back. it is full of wonderful rare earth minerals, titanium, uranium, it's the breadbasket of europe in terms of producing food for the world. its got a lot of resources, oil, gas, all those things we need.
