communications person at hhs. they said, hhs is following the administration's guidance and taking action to support the president's broader efforts to restructure and streamline the federal government. this is to ensure that hhs better serves the american people at the highest and most efficient standard. now, i remember times in the past specifically, governor, during covid where the cdc was not serving the american public. that's all donald trump wants them to do. why is everybody freaking out? if. >> well, not everybody is. i think if you get about 30 miles from the beltway, people are dancing in the streets and celebrating. it's finally a moment where you got government people who are looking into how the taxpayers' money are ec -- ecstatic about it. he said he was going to do it, and he did it. i love what's going on. elon musk and the group of young guys that i call the revenge of the nerds, it's the greatest

thing that's happened probably in my lifetime in relation to the federal government. and i think all these guys ought to get a presidential medal for going in and finding this ridiculous amount of spending. now, sure, there's system good things that government does, and i don't want to minimize that. i appreciate that our government does things that we want them to do, we need them to do. but let's do those things is and not the stupid tough. and for the democrats to stand the out on the curb and yell and scream and use profanity, basically they're saying we demand gigger government -- bigger government, more waste. that's what we stand for. squawk jack exactly. >> it just makes them look absurd. jackie: well, this is interesting because democrat congressman dean phillips wants his party to stop fighting against elon and join him, arguing that government waste popular amongst americans. remember, more than 75 million people voted for donald trump, and they are for this. let's watch. >> democrats are only focused on one thing right now, mr. musk. the fact of the matter, he's quite popular. i think we're missing the boat

that the democrats are screaming about is really the one that they are creating which is that they're creating more lawfare. for example, that boston judge, judge o'toole, really looked at this and realized without any jurisdiction, without participants actually litigating in this particular case, he would look like a fool to block president trump's buyout. finish. >> well, jackie, thanks for having me. it's great to be with you. there is no constitutional crisis, and president trump made it clear that he'll abide by whatever court decisions come down. so there is no constitutional crisis. and moreover, trump is likely to win on all the major issues. trump as the chief executive of the executive branch has the right to go in and audit and access payments, and he has the right to have his designee do that in elon musk. so the access to the payment systems is perfectly constitutional. he has the right to to rescind or to slow down federal payments so long as they are not earmarked. he has the right to do work

force reductions within limits. now, there may be challenges on second order issues. i can imagine a judge saying if musk gets access to payment systems, he has to insure that privacy information isn't leak ared to the public. that's reasonable. i could see issues in terms of what lower level service employees may have, but these are secondary issues. for the most part, trump has all of the authority he is going to need x. to the extent that some of these issues have not been decided and go to the supreme court, you're going to see happen exactly what happened in the ballot access, trump's ballot to issue in colorado and the immunity decisions which are the supreme court has a made it very, very clear that that they do not regard the bureaucratic state as a fourth branch of government. they believe that it is an article ii executive branch, within the article ii executive

jackie: welcome back. fox news getting an exclusive look at the day the day operations of i.c.e. officials in texas as they are working to find and apprehend criminals living in our neighborhoods. fox news' brooke taylor is in houston with the details. brooke? >> reporter: we got an exclusive look at the day-to-day i.c.e. operations here in houston. the ero officers tell us with this new push and priority to to go after illegal criminal aliens, they have nearly tripled their arrest numbers in just the last few weeks. >> target's coming out of the house. >> reporter: i.c.e. enforcement and removal operations officers have been watching his movements and patterns for days now. [background sounds] the suspect, an illegal migrant from if mexico convicted in 2004 for alien smuggling and already removed from the u.s. in 2005 but snuck back in. >> we're really looking at our public safety threats, national security threats. they've had their due process, they've never shown up for deportation that. those are our primary targets. >> reporter: how many people, roughly, are on this target
