get this legislation across the finish line. it's going to be a long negotiation as we work through the different issues, but we have to stick together to pass the final bill. our margins in both the house and the senate are not large enough for people ultimately to peel off, which is why the negotiation will matter, and making sure that we fulfill the commitments made by the president from securing the border to strengthening our military, increasing domestic production of energy, providing tax relief to millions of hard working middle class families, including lifting the cap on salt, which is a top priority for me, and something president trump has made clear he supports, and reigning in the size and scope of the federal government. we have a $7 trillion budget. we are approaching $37 trillion in debt. democrats say that they understand this is a problem and yet the moment you start talking

we're to achieve a trillion dollar deficit reduction in financial year 2026 that requires saving $4 billion per-day every day, from now through the end of september. but we can do it and we will do it. thank you. liz: that was elon musk. here is the issue, ford. what americans are seeing and what the government is doing and democrats are okay with, they are still spending at pandemic levels. that was pandemic level spending that you did not even see in war time, so this is a battle for president trump and doge. what do you think? >> i think that elon musk is absolutely right. doge is not a luxury item. it's a necessity and we actually will have to trim $4 billion if we get down to 1 trillion. remember we're at 36 trillion and bush, reagan, they all tried to cut it down and only elon musk and donald trump have been able to expose this. liz: exposing it and it's rocking d.c., but american
