house. peter. lots of stuff happening. and, larry, i've been told by a senior official here that there's really no appetite for this white house to revisit that ukraine minerals deal. unless and until volodymyr zelensky makes an explicit public apology for the way that he behaved in the oval office on friday. i just think he should be more appreciative because this country has stuck with them through thick and thin. we've given them much more than europe, and europe should have given more than us because, as you know, that's right there. that's the border. this this country really was like the fence on the border. it was it was very important to europe. president, president trump reminded the world today that during his first term, he did place some sanctions on russia. and he confirmed, when questioned by our fox business colleague edward lawrence, that those sanctions could go poof as part of a peace deal. and

russia, are you looking at relieving russian sanctions if there is a peace deal? well, we're going to make deals with everybody to get this war, including europe and european nations. the president's self-imposed deadline of ending the war in 100 days remains a priority, despite this new stalemate. what became so evident to us in that session was he's not ready to talk peace at all. but here's the problem. time is not on his side. time is not on the side of just forever continuing this conflict. the american people's patience is not unlimited. their wallets are not unlimited. and there are various reports today that president trump is considering a freeze of all military assistance to ukraine. when he was asked about that in the roosevelt room a few minutes ago, he did not confirm that that is something there happening. that is going to happen, he said. it's basically not something that he has been talked to about yet, larry. all

right. peter doocy, thanks for the update. we appreciate all of it as always. all right, folks, trump's mineral deal is actually the best security tripwire ukraine could ever hope for. and that's the subject of the riff. vladimir zelensky doesn't seem to understand that donald trump's offer on the mineral and mining deal with ukraine is, in fact, a giant step toward ukraine's security. i call it the tripwire effect. think of it this way american companies would come into ukraine and open up drilling and excavation and mining operations for rare earth minerals or precious metals or oil and gas and so forth, and they'll be coming in to build infrastructure in various geographic locations around the country. now, american firms will therefore be putting their boots on the ground. these are not u.s. military boots on the ground.
7:05 pm
they would be private sector u.s. corporate boots on the ground. and they will bring with them, by the way, large scale security now. digging for minerals and mining is no small operation. very big deal. it's conceivable thousands of americans would be moving in to do all manner of jobs, be they front office, administration or on the ground. think of it as oil patch roughnecks, like in the permian basin. something right out of the hit tv show land man. now i call it a tripwire, because if the russians were to start rolling in tanks or start bombing these american operations, then all hell would break out because russia would then be attacking americans. and i don't think they want that kind of escalation. i don't think putin wants anything near the idea of attacking and killing americans. it's a bit like president eisenhower after
