i had a sensation of falling backwards and couldn't stop. i called my fiancee, sam, at the time and she said i will pick you up. i said no, and like an i had yesterday -- an idiot i wouldn't admit something was wrong. i had another couple episodes and a blood clot that went to my brain. a fourth that went to my speech. i started sluring my speech. i looked at her and said i needed to get to the hospital. that dissolved and the other stayed with me. i had hundreds of clots down my arms. the doctors freaked out and tried to get them to dissolve. the residual affect was i have these -- i had these three strokes. i was a guy who was better than most 20-year-olds to a guy who was 90 years old. >> don't go to a chiropractor. >> part of that had something to do with it, and i have a whole different seg segment. >> what did you learn? >> it took me three years to fight back and get back to

feeling normal again. it was a long recovery. i had to learn to walk again. it was brutal. >> you had to learn to walk again? >> i had a big balance problem. i still have a 10% loss of vision in both eyes. i learned that basically everybody has a story. all of us one day one thing we have in common is we all all die. >> except for me. >> i learned that i wanted to pass on something positive to people. this inspirational story, it is a love story and deals with meeting sam and having her come into my life and pushing things along and being a big proponent for my recovery. but it wasn't fun. i don't recommend it. i never would wish this on my worst enemy, but that's a lie. i would. every taliban guy, you may have this. >> my favorite chapter is chapter 23 on page 138, "when i met grog gutfeld" it is an amazing chapter. how i changed your life. >> you are amazing. you are instrumental. you were one of my crutches, actually.
