after the iowa state fair period and all of the candidates taking to eye with a, mitt romney was there on thursday and left. a number of individuals showed up there for the faith and freedom coalition to talk about social issues and you know, to a large base of evangelicals in iowa. >> that's right, there were six there in iowa and they have the first caucus on january 3rd, so it's very important for these candidates to be heard in that state. and you know, without that state, many of these candidates are going to be out of the running. >> it's interesting that abortion has been forced to the top of the political profiles of these candidates, as far as republicans go, bah us of what herman cain or didn't say, flip flopped or just plain flopped on his abortion stance earlier in the week and he tried to clarify his stance for the social conservatives in iowa on saturday. >> i will not sign any

legislation in any way allowed the government to be involved in it. i would strengthen all of 0 your current laws that prevent abortion, i believe that abortion should be clearly stated and is legal across this country and i would work to defund planned parenthood and i will make sure that i appoint judges that will enforce the constitution, no activist judges and i would also make sure that we didn't allow any bureaucrats to get in the way in order to protect the life of the unborn. >> clarifying that pro-life stance, wants everyone to know that he is pro-life and rick perry goes after him. and many say they're going after him without actually saying his name's, cain's name. >> it's a liberal kinard to say i'm personally pro-life, but government should stay out of that decision. if that is your view, you are not pro-life, you are pro having your cake and eating it, too.

>> clayton: it's worthwhile to mention in 2008 at those caucuses why this is so important for them to speak to this evangelical base. 60% of those who came out to the caucuses in 2008 to vote in large part for governor mike huckabee, were evangelical. 60%, it's social state and resonates with the voters. >> dave: it will be an important primary issue, will it be a general election issue? we think probably not. to lock up iowa you're going to have to lock up the social conservatives. arguably the most, the biggest applause, i think, at this thing from what i'm told from people at the faith and freedom coalition on saturday came for newt gingrich. they loved him there. he's not taking part in part of the infighting as far as the g.o.p. candidates going, continuing to focus on obama. >> we can have a dramatically better christmas in 2012, if it is a goodbye obama

will we place barack obama with, will it be a candidate who has a proven record of standing for us and for what believe in? this is the year when social conservatives can have it all. >> hard to believe this is here. can you believe that-- >> hard to believe there were people in that crowd, but there were people in the crowd and they were actually very vocal. >> only 100 people were there. yeah, it's hard to believe when you listen to newt gingrich talking about christmas 2012, the election is here. >> there's not that much time. january 3rd already. so there is not much time and this is why the bachmann camp, we're hearing reports this morning, to reports to foxnews.com that the bachmann camp may be having some trouble in new hampshire and now confirmed two staff members have quit, up and quit. and interestingly, at least one of them, it's reported, went over to the perry camp. they didn't go to the bachmann

camp first and tell them they're quitting. they up and quit. appears they felt the bachmann camp wasn't doing enough in new hampshire, they nt with aed to do more campaigning. and at that lot of the bachmann camp was doing more in iowa. the bachmann camp only has four employees in iowa, but her entire campaign hinges on iowa. she has to make a stand there. if she doesn't finish in the top two or three, it's over. >> they're on weekly contracts, there were five in new hampshire and why they quit and didn't go to those working on the work. the insider we can't give you more work and said we have to get to iowa in order to focus on new hampshire, if we don't win iowa, we won't make it to new hampshire. >> and that speaks to the other caucuses lining um. there were questions whether

or not new hampshire were going to end up getting pushed back into december or whether nevada would get pushed up toee aye, january 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th and now we know the date for nevada. >> dave: it was an old-fashioned standoff. and said half the delegates may not count at the republican national convention, nevada said we're moving from january 14th to february 4th. allows the calendar to stay in relative order, again, iowa the first in the station nation caucus. and some suggest it helps mitt romney, had it been moved up earlier in nevada it may have hurt him. a number of candidates were threatening to boycott the nevada caucus if they didn't move that date. >> dave: that january date looks unknown for new hampshire, but i'm hearing

january 10th for them and i think the calendar is pretty much set. >> iowa, new hampshire, north carolina, nevada. >> speaking of jobs, a lot of things at the faith and freedom coalition, from the world bank, this is astounding. we talk about the united states needs to be able to create this cradle of jobs here in the world. needs to be the number one place to create jobs, but put it in perspective as to who you we currently sit around the world with businesses who want to go to countries to start jobs. we're not even on the top ten list out of this new list. number one on the list, new zealand. why? because it's the barrier to start a new company there, takes one day. >> one day. >> clayton: if you want to start a new company, incorporate a business, one day. >> so these rankings are based on the ability to start a new business, where it's easiest to start a new business. >> and get access to credit. >> rwanda at number 8. we know that the georgia

economy has been doing well in recent years and i think canada might surprise a lot of people in the top five, but canada creating jobs at a far faster rate than the united states. when you see that, it's a problem for all of you aspiring entrepreneurs in this country who want to start a business and know how difficult it is to get off the ground let alone succeed. >> a lot of the voters like the flat tax ideas. 9% business tax because it's so expensive to start a business and i think that corporate tax is anywhere between 15% and 30% here in the u.s. so a lot of businesses are going to china. >> that's why you're hearing a lot about the lower regulations. >> you know, when you hear the list of the world's richest men. you often hear the name bill gates, warren buffett and the world's richest man. but you know, colonel gaddafi may have been, by far, by leaps and bounds, the richest man on the planet. >> we know that he had about 100 billion dollars, those

were the initial assessments of his wealth and that the united states had frozen 37 billion of it. we thought 100 billion and the story coming out this morning and over the weekend, a that 200 billion is what he had sitting there. it's not as if it was frozen and he didn't have access to. his family had free access to the money, still does, his sons. if he needed that money, needed to transfer money or buy off individuals, no wonder there were people loyal to him to the bitter end. >> dave: it would be difficult to freeze all of those assets we've frozen 37 billion of that and a lot of folks say that libya should pay for what the united states and u.n. did there, which is around 2 billion dollars. could come from some of that money, clearly. >> he think that should go to the pan am families. >> clayton: that's walk around money. >> dave: a third of the libyans live under the poverty line and this man snuck away-- >> and bureaucrats in libya

are living lavishly and others were living poorly. you may have more. >> dave: his son was captured by what we're being told. maybe you'll have more. >> a fox news alert. more about gaddafi, doctors are claiming he they know what killed him. told reporters that the former libyan leader died from a gunshot wound to the head and refused specific questions about that wound. no one will say if the bullet came from cross fire or short range and today, massive crowds are lining up to view the former dictator's body. he's lying on a mattress in a vegetable freezer in misrata. later today, libya's interim leaders will declare their deb ration, starts at eleven o'clock east coast time. >> dave: i guess it wasn't there, but his son has been captured by rebels. >> a new information about an american killed by a shark

attack, george thomas wane right. 32 years old, from texas. he was diving off the coast of rottnest island and attacked by a great white shark and two friends were watching by a boat and it looked to be about ten feet long. brand new video out of chicago, a brand new group of occupy wall street protesters took to street for the second time overnight. take a look. >> we are the people. we are united. ♪ at its height the protest attracted about 3,000 people and arrested more than 130 after they refused to leave grant park once it closed. the spokesperson for the occupy chicago movement says that protesters will resume later today and we'll be talking about the difference of the occupy movement to the tea party movement coming up

in just a bit. and get your hard hats on because that doomed german satellite that we were telling you about yesterday has entered the atmosphere, there is no information available yet on whether any of its pieces have crashed on to the earth. and it could take days to figure that out. experts predicted at least 30 parts of the satellite would fall from space this weekend, along the 50 mile path. and those are your headlines, clayton, i know you want to comment on that story. >> clayton: talking about it yesterday, it looks like a giant air conditioner. it doesn't look like typical german engineering, farfignugen. >> we want to take a look at the current temperatures, it's on the cool side. 38 in cleveland. 42 in raleigh, north carolina, cooler in the southeast and those temperatures will

gradually be warming up, but throughout the morning hours, deal with the cool temperatures so watch out for frost. a number of frost advisories from interior portions of the northeast into georgia and alabama. live in atlanta and head out the door early this morning, you could be scraping frost off of your car and that's something to keep in mind. again, the temperatures later on warming up and we'll make it into the 70's today. yesterday headed westbound across the western half of the country. texas well above average for late october. 70 your high temperatures in kansas city and across the southwest we're looking at some warm temperatures. phoenix, arizona looking at a high at 97. as far as any rainfall across the country it's another quiet day today. a cluster of thunderstorms that we're tracking early this morning and pushing into louisiana and arkansas, and of course, we'll update you on that. >> thank you, maria. >> the occupy wall street movement is being compared now to the tea party and our next guest could not disagree more.

>> he says there are three main things that separate the two, joining us now to explain is the president and ceo of freedom works, matt kiby is joining us bright and early. >> i hope we sent you coffee. >> lots of coffee here. >> i want to hear the three differences between you and the occupy wall street, but i'd like to ask you, are there some similarities between the tea party and its origins and occupy wall street? "the washington post" actually had an article on that front page today and they say, quote, an online discussions both groups repeatedly share many of the same frustrations as well as the classically american passion for fixing them? are there some things you have in common with occupy wall street? >> well, i think there are and when i started looking at what they were doing, i wanted to be sympathetic because i saw this anger about crony capitalism and i love the fact that in this country, we're not only allowed to peacefully

protest, we're almost expected. it's part of the american tradition and when you dig into the details, you've seen fundamental differences, i think undermine their position, because the first rule of tea partying is we're respectful, we work with police to make sure that our protests are peaceful and safe. and they almost want to provoke a fight. they want to start a fight. there's been a lot of stances where they push security and cause disruptions and that's not how tea partiers roll and second-- >> i want to put that up on the screen. that's the first difference that you cite is this resistance to law enforcement, a disrespect for authority. >> and 100 arrests in chicago yesterday. >> yes. >> we also saw a guy climbing up on the metal structures and we had that live on our show yesterday. what is one of the second differences? >> well, you see, you see both public and private property being destroyed, particularly all over the world, and to me,

that goes to a fundamental difference between tea partiers and occupy wall street. they don't seem to respect private property and there's a lot of destruction that goes on and i also think that that undermines their case. when we marched on washington. september 12th, 2009 and said please and thank you, respected other people's space, we picked up our own trash, there were no arrests, no broken windows and damage to property. i think that's the fundamental differences. >> and any other differences? >> it comes down to a bottom line philosophy. we believe in individual freedom, but from freedom comes an individual responsibility and a respect for property. that's what binds the tea party movement together. when i look at occupy wall street there's this anger, there's this frustration with crony capitalism, but they're not holding washington accountable for the collusion between big government and the obama administration and wall street. >> yeah, that clear vision and

tangible goals, clearly missing from the occupy wall street, but if you were to give them advice, and i know you're not going to do that this morning per se, who should they be protesting. whose homes, what street? where should they be? a lot of people say they're looking at the wrong folks, who should they blame? >> if you're angry at crony capitalism, you might start with jeff immelt from ge. >> clayton: they did actually. >> here we are headed in the right direction, might look at the committee chairman who bailed out fannie and freddie. you might look at the insurance companies that colluded with the obama administration to enforce an individual mandate that forced everyone to buy their health insurance product. there are opportunities here to challenge crony capitalism and i hope they do that and if they do it right. >> clayton: yeah. >> i'll be with them. >> clayton: they stood on the front of jeff immelt's lawn yesterday.

>> dave: about a hundred. >> clayton: i want to ask you this, because it's interesting. the tea party has often said over the past few years they do not an i line themselves with republicans. they don't speak for us, and also we've heard the same thing from the occupy wall street folks, democrats don't stand for us, we're an independent voice. is there a voice that's represented by the tea party and occupy wall street and both parties are talking away from them. >> good question. >> i hope there is. and i do think there's an independence emerging in america, a democratization of politics that allows the individual voices to be heard, but i haven't seen in these protests a lot of serious criticism of the obama administration and the crony capitalism, the subsidies and bailouts and all of this stuff we should be angry about. >> matt, i'm reading in the new york post about some arguments within the occupy wall street groups. because they have 500,000 dollars in their bank account

now, and some of the people there, and some of the sects in that group want some of that money to replace their band equipment that was vandalized or to buy t-shirts or longer sleeved shirts for some of individuals out there and they can't get a hold of any of the money. one of the guys feels like it's falling apart, losing steam. what are your thoughts? >> i read that article, it was striking. it's almost like a scene out of the atlas shrugs, everybody feels entitled to that money and there's no responsibility for one's own actions in that. that's what happens, we take away a sense of individual responsibility and sense of property. there's no obligation, in my mind, for anybody that-- to give someone something for someone else and that's what they're fighting about. they don't have this philosophy and i think that

that can devovle, into an angry move. >> and we know what they've exerted in washington. how long will it go on and how much influence will they wield in perhaps the months and years to come? >> what the press hasn't been willing to do with occupy wall street, in all the accusations of the tea party movement, we were astroturf, domestic terrorists, racist, woof not held occupy wall street to the same standards. and i think there are those behind it, the unions and george soros driving this process, but because they don't have a binding philosophy, i think you're looking at hundreds and maybe thousands of people, not the millions of tea partiers that have sustained themselves over three years now demanding

of the stimulus money flowing into oregon millions of dollars flowing in to get the economy up and running again. turns out a little bit of a problem. according to a labor department inspector general report released this week we know that about 7 million dollars of stimulus funds flowed out to the pacific northwest in an effort to hire jobs or hire workers. turns out, liao being at that number. only 254 foreign workers were hired, zero americans got any of that. >> ainsley: we're told that these americans in that area didn't know that these jobs were available. >> dave: right. they did, they say, contact 146 u.s. workers about these jobs, but again, you can't ignore the fact our taxpayer dollars hired 254 foreign workers and zero americans, and this speaks to a larger narrative we've seen going on after this stimulus and even before, really, about no strings attached. millions of american taxpayer dollars going out the door, with zero strings attached. we saw it with the bailout and

he have any choice, but to pull them home? >> i think he did. and it's one of those questions of a global agreement. right now, we have troops al over the world as we all know. n.a.t.o. has standing agreements within germany, have elements in japan. and obviously, we've come to some level of agreement with the local governance on what to do. i think that was the real issue here. we're not -- it's not good. as colin powell said you break it you own it, but with that said i think we'll have other bases within the region we can continue to operate from in bahrain and kuwait and things like that. >> dave: some of the candidates for the g.o.p. nomination speculate that perhaps the obama administration allowed these negotiations too turn sour to live up to that 2008 campaign promise. what do you think about that theory? >> well, look, this is washington. anything can happen. i mean, obviously, the first casualty in any issue here in d.c. is the truth, one never

that position. >> in the legislation in a way that allows the government to be involved in it, i would strengthen all of our current laws that prevent abortion. i believe that abortion should be clearly stated and illegal across this country and i would work to defund planned parenthood and i would make sure that i appoint judges that will enforce the constitution, no activist judges, and i would also make sure that we didn't allow any bureaucrats to get in the way in order to protect the life of the unborn. >> clayton: well, governor rick perry got up and spoke a short time after herman cain and you can read between the lines who he's addressing with these comments. >> it's a liberal kinard to say i'm personally pro-life, but government should stay out of that decision. if that is your view, you are not pro-life. you are pro having your cake and eating it, too.

education during the day. >> clayton: disruption of education during the day. >> yes. how is that possible? every year growing up on halloween you'd have an earn certain portion of the afternoon kids would get the costumes together and have candy and fun. >> exactly that. the kids dress up during the lunch hour and two hour celebration afterwards and really no disruption of class time at all. >> clayton: they make a point this is a distraction. a letter from the springfield school district, what they say, michael deveano, the superintendent says there's no day that cuts into instructional time like halloween. in an effort to minimize the interruption of instruction and recognizing the students have ample time to celebrate the holiday and costume after school, costumes will no longer be permitted in school on halloween. others argue that hey, american kids far behind in reading and math from other countries, do we need any more distractions in the classroom. >> well, if education is the main part and connect this event educational and have the

kids talk about costumes they're made and maybe best handmade prize and several schools around the springfield area that are having the halloween costumes and taken it a step further. they're making it a charitable event and teaching the kids to give back and collecting contents, excuse me for the flood victims and making sure they have costumes to wear and collecting canned goods, a food drive. they're teaching their kids valuable life lesson to give back and that's something all of our kids can learn from. >> absolutely. we always look forward to this every year. do you think though, we hear more and more of the stories. do you think there's some sort of political correctness that keeps popping up over and over again in an effort to try to get some of these out of the school. >> absolutely. one of the reasons the principal told me the decision was made because fewer and fewer families are recognizing the holiday so a few are ruining it for the majority. you know, halloween costumes may sound trivial for schools to be fighting for that. i'm fighting more for keeping american traditions alive for

hussein and a country struggling, trying to put together a democracy, and, they elect their own provincial governors and their own legislature and national leaders and are moving in the right direction, and there is not another arab muslim country in the region that elects its own government except iraq. >> dave: perhaps, with iraq, we won't know, for a year, maybe around election time, we will know whether it was the right or the wrong decision and that may be why republicans are aligning themselves against the process. i want to ask you about something hamid karzai said and i don't know if you saw this yesterday. he said that -- the president of afghanistan said, if the united states would go to war with pakistan, they would side with pakistan and would have their back against any action with the u.s. what are we doing, helping out someone like karzai? let alone... >> dave: karzai is a mercurial figure and he has emotional swings and has been challenging for us to deal with.

the good news is we have ryan crocker, the best possible diplomat working with him, side by side and i'm confident we'll move karzai off of center stage, in 2014, and, we'll put someone else in charge of that country. and karzai will be there, for a couple more years and then we'll get, i think an improvement. >> dave: in terms of a larger narrative, going into this election, if national security, oddly enough, president obama's strength -- is national security, oddly enough, president obama's strength? >> i don't have get involved in that. >> dave: doesn't he appear, very strong when it comes to foreign policy. >> the president deserves credit on a number of things that he has done as commander-in-chief. what he has done with the al qaeda, is significant. he has taken the al qaeda down and they are on the cusp of a strategic defeat and he deserves a lot of credit for that and so does president bush in terms of what he did 8 or 9 years against it and deserves credit for what took place in libya to be sure
