federal budget and in terms of solyndra, if president obama wants to be a venture capitalist let him resign in 2012 and see what he can do. >> rick, this comes down on a waste of money when you factor in all of the billions on solyndra-like loans. >> i have to disagree with the boss' characterization there. there is never anything wrong with cutting waste in government. i don't care how much. with respect to solyndra, it is not the president who played venture capitalist. the department of energy has made these kinds of investments for years. solyndra is only 1. 3 percent of the total investment that the energy department has and by the way, only loan that appears to have gone wrong . 98 percent are performing well. >> victoria, that is not true. beacon power and enter one.

and other examples and who knows how many more will be damaged down the line, victoria? >> yeah, steve mentioned term venture capital and a lot of folks in the pro solsell camp. it is a role for government to take some capital and turn it in risk. you don't have all googles and facebooks, you do have duds. it is taxpayer money and no venture capital firm here that will raise another fund in five years. instead they will take more taxpayer money and fund companies that awn have ties to folks in high places. there is a more efficient way to allocate capital. >> bill, that political influence acts the loans and the president's efforts, are they chipping around the edge of the problem. >> they are worthy efforts. maybe it is small.

the kids. it came from a program that existed in michigan that provides home and health care to kids over 18 years old who have permanent disabilitis and the elderly . the state recognized some time ago that the best possible situation would be parents there to take care of them. parents have to make a living, if they were not getting a paycheck from the state they would have to get a yob and the kids would end up in a far more expensive institution or outside home care people come n >> quickly rick. >> health care workers were unized and since that time they have experienced a 45 percent increase in the paycheck. they get all of the benefits of belonging and training. >> rick, we have to move on you had your say and mike, rick's characterization is wrong. that these parents when you speak to them.

they are mad as hell and they have become, mike members of the union against their will and they are not in favor of this. that's the middle america speaking. >> this tells the story why unionship in the private sector is decliping for four decades it is clear that the unions don't care about the workers or so called middle class. it gets support by the democrats and the money is funneled to the democrats to win election. this is how obama got elected. they don't care about the kids but lining their own dam pockets. >> they don't want to be unized. two years ago. the same thing happened in michigan with child care workers. so folks who are running child care for low income families. the union tried to force them
