karl came ron is in south carolina where the republican presidential contenders will debate foreign policy. >> we'll run down the roster. mitt romney comes in the debate as front runner because of troubles with the rivals and the lead in the polls in so many states nationally being challenged by others. romney's foreign policy is a problem. he may have a great campaign but his experience is limited to being a one-term governor. they are talking about global economic policy and he will concentrate on that. it is a big night for rick perry. who had a bad performance. mr. perry is starting a one million dollar ad and ramping it up. south carolina is an important state for perry and a must win and foreign policy could be a

problem as his rivals will turn it in a border security. herman cain is looking into his third week of sex yawl allegations . he had a strong debate performance and systematically campaigning against the smear campaign. and on foreign policy he lacks experience . then newt gingrich who is surging and campaigning hard in iowa and has momentum in the polls and an opportunity to make foreign policy in this stand out and break out moment. look for him to try to exploit that. and look for michele bachmann. she's increasing her presence in campaign efforts in south carolina and she sits on the house intelience committee and she will show off her policy bones. something he hasn't done and

after the debate? former south carolina chairman. welcome, great to have you on board today. >> great to be with you and great day for a football game and a national security debate here in the college in spartanburg. >> and we heard little discussed about foreign policy in the debates. but tonight there is no escaping it. at a time when stakes remain high who do you think stands to gain the most. >> we are calling this the commander-in-chief's debate. this the most important and significant debate we have had to date. none of the debays touched on foreign policy and national security . the reason we have a federal government is to provide for the national security of the american people. i think the people here in south carolina and all over the country will look at the candidates and ask themselves

victory and they are hoping to replicate that here. and the news this morning, the new japanese prime minister may join the trade talks here now. the u.s. is willing to do that as long as the japanese open their car market to the u.s. makers. they are going to make sure while the president will be globe trotting over the next few days that the trip over all will be about trade and u.s. jobs and the economy, uma. and he has meetings on the sidelines. what is those about. >> he has meetings with the presidents of russia and china. significant as we know iran from the international report saying that iran is moving closer to nuclear weapons. the administration has gotten credit for having tough sanks -- sanctions. but it has not slowed down the nuclear program. maybe we can get them on board

so that the white house had a general idea that a wave of gop attacks were coming over solyndra and other doe deals that went to obama donors. and we know it is on their radar now because that is part of an e-mail from the dan carol who sent it to then chief-of-staff pete rousch. and the e-mail suggested that secretary of energy steven chu be demoted. secretary c, had u is a wonderful and brilliant man and he is not he was not interested in dan carol's critique. only the other policy agenda . the white house said.

as we reported the republican presidential contenders are gearing up for a debate tonight. here's more on these and more. >> the gop presidential contenders are set to hit the stage for another debate. this focuses on national security and mitt romney is looking to build and rick perry hope to recover from gaffe in the debate. white house turned over several dozen cases. one e-mail showed doubts were aired about energy security chu's ability to foster job creation. italy's lower chamber of parliment approved the economic reform demanded by the european union . that paves the way for prime minister berlusconi to resign.

is significant that you have the international atomic agency saying that iran is working on the weaponization. and the fact that they are hiding the program and in one word this proves that the policy of negotiation has failed period. all of the efforts done by the europeans and the united states, joining with them, under president bush and under president obama. everything tried for this regime has failed. i think with washington, is in the middle of determining what to do. what are the real options in dealing with a serious threat of the nuclear organization of iran. >> there are those calling for tougher sanctions and russia is against a move at this point, but seriously at this point, do you think that sanctions will do anything even if they are tougher at this point?

>> we have seen sanctions in place for plane years and the outcome is very little and usually at this time, any time negotiations fail, people tend to jump from one extreme of negotiation to the other other extreme which is a nuclear military option. i think we need to look in the middle. there are so many other things not tried. >> like? >> look at the situation inside of iran. it is vulnerability and there is a defiant population. months before the arab spring, we have major uprisings in irn in summer of 2009. unlike many countries iran has a powerful organized opposition that exposed much of the nuclear sites that are inspected and same opposition that exposed the terror network of iran. there are many in the u.s.

congress and senior officials who are saying the old policy of trying to disband the mek and calling them terrorist in order to carry favor of the ayatolllahs is over. we need to explore the situation and see the opposition in full gear and unleashing and removing the opposition from this in order to have an effective policy regarding iran. no need to send arms or troops or anything like that. the people are in the streets. >> regime change is policy? >> this is the desire of the iranian nation for many years. all the united states needs to do is remove obstacles unlike other places they had to do it themselves. >> how far out do you think if nothing stops iran is it going to accomplish the nuclear ambitions? >> it is difficult to say, because you don't know the

about, so many people don't have the resources and you are concerned about what obama care will do to them. tell me why you are so passionate about >> when halle passed away in 2010, i had contact and meetings with a number of families who are going through a similar thing and depending on which state they are in. state wide medicaid is either treating them good or not. when you have a very, very sick child or anyone sick in your family. cognitively disabled or et cetera, you could take them to the hospital and get help. we have seen a shocking development where a number of states came out and said they are going to begin limiting the medicaid covered hospital states. 25 days maximum a year and hawa was 10 days. and halle was in the hospital 10 days every month for

several years and what would we have done. she's used up her 10 days and are you taking her home and letting her die. some illnesses they have to be treated in the hospital. you can't care for them at home without the availability. and they are going to send them home to die? and the health care bill is not affordable health care. it is lake of health care f. you read it and what is implements, it will be rationing health care letting burrcrats and hospital panel made up of burrcrats decide who gets health care. america people were not sold that bill of goods. >> so many entertainers are not on the front lines campaigning against issues that are close to their heart in this way. why is it important to speak

out? >> i am a good candidate because of halle'suation but my wife had a medical situation when my son was born and she was in a flat-lined coma and not like terri schiavo. she would speak, but terry was alert for all of the barbaric thing that is happened in the two week span of her. connie was in a flat-lined coma and on life support and respir ator and i was told back in '85 that i had the power to do that and put an end to the suffering and i didn't consider that. she is here today and lived a normal life. i have seen that first hand and i never had a problem speaking out in touchy and controversial topics. i know it is much safer to campaign for cancer research

news broke the story. a young woman by the name of sarah gaman did laudable pieces. unfortunately, the main stream media that pass judgments on presidents, didn't even notice the story and mind you, according to the newspaper, the first ofcial -- or first documented sexual investigation of abuse at penn state goes back as far as 1995. and so let's put it at 1995 and we are in 2011 and the general public finds out what a cesspool that place is and how the closed community of penn state. including staff and personnel and students, they lost their moral compass and this is abunudantly clear by the editor of the harrisburg news
