and come here forer's programs and cliff and work visas, they are inviting them to stay here in america. and we do it legally and not illegally. >> romney campaign has been attacking perry who is soft on illegal immigration. perry said he would hut down the border if the first year. do you consider that not tough enough? >> he's been the governor, and why on earth would he be the first governor to encourage illegals to stay here with giving them in state tuition and people from arizona and iowa can't go to texas to guilty the same benefit. mitt romney is saying you have to earn it. all of these people who are occupy wall street thinking that obama philosophy of we owe you something.

have enough money to spend. if we try to extend the tax break for the people who have a couple of dollars in the holiday season. and then on the other hand, you have the federal employees. it doesn't make economic sense and this time of year it doesn't make sense in terms of compassion. >> many are inclined to vote for the move because of the time of year. but short term it is going forward going to make things worse. so many folks are saying that the country is simply broke. >> they are legitimate things and when you find the majority in the house and minority in senate. republicans say the number one job is to not have economic growth but to get rid of the president. they have made up their minds that there is nothing that the president can do.

even if it is republican ideas. they will not give him this much victory for the country. everything he tries to do whether it is health care or taxes or investing in america's future or long-term projects and not just pay roll holidays, they say no, no, no, no. american people have to be able to stand up and say they will not toler eight it. we are set there to protect america and what they are trying to do to health care and social security. i hope moral and spiritual leaderships will say start to work for america and not reelection. >> there are people and small business owners who are saying that the pay roll tax holiday will not do that much to actually prived the atmosphere and get more people hired in the long-term. how do you answer that. >> you are right.

any indication at this point what herman cain might do today? >> there is no indication at this point. we have tried to read the tea leaves and everyone who is here. supporters and media. no idea what he will do. logic dictates when your campaign is in a disarray, you can't continue spectacularly since there are many reports that said more women who are ready to level accusations against him. it is up to herman cain and his wife gloria. they met for the first time last night as ginger white came out with her allegation. and we'll see if herman cain accompanies her husband on other scenarios and that he uses it as a exit thank you very much but i can't. or pause and reassess and my

wife and gloria are okay but we have to figure out if the campaign can go forward. they are all potential sceniarios that could unfold. he is about 10 minutes away and a short meeting with military veterans. stay tuned. we are a few minutes away from finding out what his campaign will be. >> even if he goes forward. there is a number of colleagues that said funding will be drying up. donations may not be coming fast and furious. >> oh, yes, it is beginning to dry up. not as many people are signing up to be volunteers and look at recent poll numbers in the state of iowa. where the all important caucus takes place. it is at eight percent and he was at 23 percent and the trend is downward. four-day rolling average. he went from 12 to four

percent. and other candidates who are in the lead but not newt gingrich whenwhere herman cain was in iowa. and he was sitting there and herman cain is on a downward trend with four weeks left to go before the caucus. it is difficult to recover from am. people are upbeat about what the candidate might say f. he is going to drop out, he will disappoint a lot of the folks welcoming them. >> there will be a lot of disappointment. herman cain supporters are hoping that doesn't portend his future of the campaign. there is music and barbecue and selling t-shirts and signing people up. there is no sense that anything is amiss. they are pumping up the crowd

herman cain is expected to make his much anticipated announcement and answering the questions of the hour. will he stay in the race for the presidency or drop out. liz prada is here with us as she is every week and she is going to give her perspective of whether or not the cain campaign can survive or go. the media does like the scandal particularly one like this . what do you think about the media that is lighting the fire storm. >> it is normal good afternoon by the way. he is the ultimate outsider and a warming one that is the target of the so many charges.

he media is having a field day with this and i must say most of the pieces that are predicting and insignulating that he's toast and going to say that today and couple of interesting pieces. richard cohen asked interesting questions this week. why, why are they gaining up for cain and not on newt gingrich? and why should cain have to take a fall and not newt gingrich? we have a record of his part? cowen makes an attempt to worry it. the gop doesn't need cain. but it certainly needs newt gingrich. if the polls are any example.

he's the largest surge in the polls as we go forward trying to pick the gop candidate for president. and another thing that cowen suggest that is a more logical answer. old news is not as glamorous as new, news. and newt gingrich's is old news . cain is new. one question that i find disturbing that is not raised by anybody seriously at least when i read it. what is the motive of ginger white in no one seems to have honed in on that and a few vague references of how her relationship as the story was relayed to the public on a tip. someone went to the media. who went to the media? she didn't have to go on the

television show as she did with abc and go through the sordid details of their alleged relationship. what is in it for her? she substaniate want money or write a book? why do it. if this is a case of a scorned woman? and why she did it. not to say it is not true but the very act of coming publicly and wrecking his campaign? >> it is an interesting point about going into the motive of these women to come forward . interesting to note when john edwards was deal his candicy. the media left it to the national enquirer to come up with the story and go with the headlines and they didn't want to pick it up until they were forced to since the inquirer was already interviewing the woman behind the scandal and

john edwards. >> exactly, the national enquirer has weighed in on this but no where near the edwards story which they were out on. and if anything, the mass media were writing stories about the national enquirer and what a sleeze bag it is. and doing horrible stories about john edwards. and we saw that turn around. but, justice there and the justice here. the other part is he going to blame the media if he decides throw in the towel. i am a victim and i can't take the medi scrutiny on this and still maintain that it is false? >> yes, i know. >> or does he say it is true.
