questioning of people's motives. i understand if he has different ways to get the same place but i don't know a single person who doesn't support helping people. they might have a different way of doing it. i think there are several people who could take exception to comment if you don't look the same. tim scott of south carolina, alan west, nikki haley off the top of my head come to mind. marco rubio, no doubt over time the republicans have be able to draw a picture that if you care most about the economy, you can continue the last three years we've had or go in a different direction when it comes to jobs. gallop numbers last week, if i were the democrats i'd be worry they are starting to slip on the message. >> bob: let me say one thing. do you believe for a second that blacks and hispanics in this country believe they'd be better off with a republican congress or president? >> dana: increasingly so.

>> bob: there is no evidence when you had both of those, anything with the exception of george bush "no child left behind" there is not a single republican initiative -- >> dana: that is baloney. so unfair. the tax cuts in 2001 meant to help people in poverty so they had more money in their pocket because -- this is the point that is most important. republicans and conservatives believe you know best how to help yourself or how to spend your money or what school to send your kids to. >> andrea: i actually think under democrats if you want to get ahead and achieve the american dream, you are worse of. i will tell you, my father's story, coming here $34, six dozen eggs with a mother, my mother who was scared and didn't know what they were doing opening up these restaurants. he could haven't done what he did under a democratic administration with the regulations. i will tell you this. why he didn't take a government handout -- anyone taking government handout is not going to get the american

trigger on usama bin laden. play that clip if you will. >> eric: governor romney -- >> governor romney, any president would have given the order on usama bin laden. bob gates said it was the postcourageous decision he had seen a president make in 30 years in washington. i'm not sure romney would have made that decision. it was a very courageous decision. >> dana: what an outrageous thing to say. he doesn't know that. he doesn't know -- al gore would have probably done the same thing. a pacifist might have done the same thing. question the motivation. not that i'm running on my record. it's trying to tear down somebody else for a hypothetical that is beyond the pale. ridiculous. >> eric: go ahead. >> bob: i couldn't agree with you more about that. he doesn't have the facts in front of him. but is that any more hypothetical about what rush limbaugh said would happen in an election? >> dana: yes. yes. that is questioning somebody's bravery and courage and saying

that barack obama had more courage and bravery and you know what in order to kill usama bin laden. it's like i just don't think romney would have done that. how can he say that? >> andrea: ryionny, no -- the i, democrats say this is obama's change. but he didn't change anything. he kept the bush policies in place. the seals -- >> bob: they got more of al-qaeda than bush in three months, in the entire time they were in the white house. >> greg: bob is right. but that is the only change that people like. all the change he promised, the progressive far left stuff he can't talk about because everybody hates it. the only thing that worked for him was conservative principl principles. gitmo. >> bob: do you think everybody hated that you could get college loans at lower interest rates? >> dana: i hope they keep on this. >> eric: generic republicans, that is polling, bob. we're not making this up.

" and he owns me lunch. not just one at the cafeteria. >> there is a mcdonald's across the street. >> dana: one thing you wrote in your column, if romney were to win in new hampshire he would be the first republican to have won iowa and new hampshire for how long? >> no matter what happens the rules are broken. we are making history. nobody ever in an open race for presidency on the republican side won new hampshire and iowa. nobody has ever come in third and fourth and recovered. nobody is going to get, you know, as little as perry will get and recover. nobody will have failed to win one of the first two primaries like paul and recovered. whatever happens, some rule will be broken. >> bob: another rule broken. the fact in new hampshire you have active five candidates. normally you have two or three. you have five candidates vying for -- this makes romney fortunate. he has the people breaking up the vote. anti-romney vote. you wouldn't normally have that. >> that is a good point. it goes back to the question about the margin. if you look at the primary since 1988, the average margin for winner the republican side

is an average of just under 13%. so the question is, i mean, we got -- we got eric's suggestions here. 32%. >> eric: it's not necessarily what i think. but what we have been talking about here, and wins by 12 or 13. >> that is the average! >> eric: does it make south carolina the deciding factor? florida the deciding factor? >> each has effect on iowa. this will win a person out. they may remain around for a while. >> bob: normally, if gingrich were to end up five, normally that person would get out of the race, right? he is not getting out of the race for two reasons. one, he is newt and he has it out for romney. this is where the super pacs matter. the influence of adelman giving $5 million to spend $3 million in south carolina to run an ad against romney, documentary against romney,

newt is viable. with the debates, if you can get a plane ticket you can stay in the race for a long time. >> third reason. rules on the republican side mimic rules on the democratic side and they are proportional. >> bob: until end of march, right? >> so if you get 15% of the vote in florida you get roughly 15% of the delegates. >> eric: everyone has money here with the exception of one guy. romney has money, paul, huntsman has his money. gingrich and perry has his own money. >> andrea: does anybody drops out tomorrow? who is the next to go? >> i don't think anybody drops out but one is walking dead. if you look -- i look at this today. every one of the guy has a buy. how much money does it take to keep the staff and pay travel bill for ten days and know you have money on television directly in the case of ron paul and romney or in the case of gingrich and santorum through super --

>> bob: this breaks out when you have more than one state in one day. you have to run the multiple state. that is where romney has advantage. with the talk about money, perry is out of money. if i were perry, if he doesn't come in well in south carolina, what does he tell the money people? >> you are right. he has to do well or go home. florida becomes expensive. ten media markets, 11 million voters. these guys are spending more money than they need to in south carolina. some stations you turn on at 6:00 a.m. and off at midnight and you will see no programming. >> and "the five." >> and commercials. >> bob: gingrich spending $3 million on the air. >> dana: we only have 30 seconds. >> super pac is buying station in north carolina and georgia.

>> dana: we have an important question. there is a question whether or not someone can get in the race. greg thinks about that every night, whether he should get in or not. he goes home to talk to his pet iguana and captain sparkles. >> greg: that is my ferret. >> dana: is there time for greg gutfeld to get in the race and win? >> greg: write-in candidate. >> no. >> dana: all over. >> you can't file for virginia or ohio or florida. >> greg: i have a question. you were called an evil genius, what percentage is ideal? 45% evil? 55% genius? >> as much evil as you can. >> bob: evil is the right word. the problem with february, you are not only missing states but have to get in a lot of states in two weeks. that is difficult. >> before i leave, i want to be clear. bolling, i see you using the whiteboard illegally again you will hear from me.

>> there is nothing wrong with being successful and making money. that is the american dream. but there is something inhelicopterly wrong when getting rich off failure and sticking it to someone else is how you do your business. >> i think people have a natural concern when they see financiers come in from out of town, take over a country, take profits and leave people unemployed behind. i'm for capitalism. that is not a model we want to advocate. i don't think any conservative wants to get caught defending that model. >> the idea we will say capitalism or constructive capitalism for one half, that is not how it works. >> bob: tell me what you think about this. santorum at the end defended romney. the rest of them -- >> eric: perry and gingrich are on the wrong track here. what romney did, bain capital went in and took weak companies that would have failed if they didn't get refinancing, revamping,

reprising, let a few people go. he did create jobs. the point is this, he is letting guys, taking a shot. this was taken out of context but he is letting them run with it. he should have said we restructured companies and made them healthier the way i will do if i get d.c. i'll cut 20% in fat and spending and -- >> bob: do you think these were unfair shot by the people? >> dana: they were desperate shots. what he talked about is what greg mentioned yesterday. what you think he is stealing from you. if you think that, you'll want to fire them. >> greg: like you but you're so hot. >> dana: use this as an example. perry wants to eliminate three departments. i can't remember the three and neither can he. he wants to eliminate them and how would s he going to let them go? were they going to be fired? that is the way it works?

>> bob: rick perry is using this line. they lost jobs because of bain capital? hurts romney, i mean. >> andrea: the line about him saying i like fire people. that will be cut. that will be used against him. he stepped in it. if i'm romney i will be 100% unapologetic. this is a chance to stand up for capitalism, and earn credit with the g.o.p. voters. look, i would rather have romney taking risks. i don't agree with him on everything. but i'd rather him take the risks with investor money than taxpayer money like obama and democrats do. >> eric: he -- >> bob: he could have turned and said we were successful in some things and others we weren't but at least we're out there doing it. we are elected officials. >> greg: but there is an error with romney saying he likes firing incompetent vote. he loses the incompetent vote. you need the potential to be fired or you don't achieve anything.
