search for answers to a massacre that left a u.s. it soldier the main tactful suspect in a country where our military is at war. and army staff sergeant robert bales and how far would you drive to save money on gas. for some americans, it's south of the border. but at what cost? tonight, risking run-ins with the mexican drug gangs to ease the pain it at the pump. ♪ . >> first from fox tonight. a winner declared in puerto rico, the associated press reporting an election official in puerto rico says that mitt romney has won the presidential primary on the island territory. and 20 delegates at stake there and here is how it works. if one candidate were to win more than 50% of the vote, he would get all 20 delegates. if the winner gets less than 50%, the delegates will be awarded proportionately to the vote.

there are also three automatic delegates free to endorse or pledge any candidates of their choice, so far, mitt romney and newt gingrich gaining one automatic delegate in puerto rico. we'll have much more from the campaign trail and hear from the candidates ahead of the illinois primary which happens ones tuesday and in addition to the delegates that will be awarded in puerto rico, new word all four candidates picked up more delegates. georgia finalizing march 6th, mitt romney adding 6 more delegates from georgia. 5 more for newt gingrich and hawaii voted last week. and just awarded now two more delegates to ron paul and 1 to rick santorum. based on the delegates and not including the 20 delegates from puerto rico, here is where it stands now. romney in the lead 501. santorum 253, gingrich 136 and ron paul 50. a reminder, candidates need 1,144 delegates to win the

nomination. fox news weather alert now. a severe threat looming for some places already pummelled by deadly twisters. we saw this moving in on fox report last night and at that time told you that the rain and snow were good news because some areas needed the water. well, now, the storm is very slow moving. and the west is getting punched. meteorologist maria molina is with us from the fox weather system. >> the storm system that makes it dangerous, how slow moving it is and how much moisture is going to track from areas from texas up through missouri so we'll be looking at a concern as we head into monday and tuesday and unfortunately. the areas could be getting up to eight inches of rain, very dangerous stuff and otherwise right now we have a the lot of snow widespread from parts of arizona, montana, and snowfall accumulations here because it's so cold and also so much moisture, we are talking snow accumulations easily a foot

along some of the higher elevations and two or more feet over high elevations like arizona and parts of utah and take you to the severe weather aspect of the storm system. between the colder air and also the warmer air to the east, we have that severe weather potential and currently a tornado watch in parts of the texas panhandle and western oklahoma and that's in effect until 10 p.m. central time. what that means, what a tornado watch means, guys, conditions are stable, for thunderstorms to develop that could produce tornado touchdowns and you can see some of those fired up across portions of the oklahoma, texas border and we do have one tornado warning just to the west of the city of wichita falls and it does includes parts of the counties in north central texas until 15 past the hour central time and basically the national weather service is saying that there is a threat that there could be a tornado currently on the ground, or headed into your direction. so, please, if you live in this town, seek shelter immediately, go to the basement or make sure to stay away from windows in the

lowest and most interior portion of your home. and now, as we head into tomorrow, the storm system is going to continue to head east, unfortunately we're going to see the severe weather risk from parts of texas, austin, dallas, you are included in that. parts of eastern oklahoma and western missouri and all the way up into parts of the state of central iowa. large highly, wind gusts and isolated tornados can the not be ruled out as we head into tomorrow. and the precipitation forecast a coming the next 72 hours, harris, this area here in yellow and orange and basically seeing that we're talking about rain accumulations, two to three, four inches possible. locally though over eight inches of rain will be possible so there are a number of flood watches, flash flood watches as well in effect for the entire region from missouri down to central texas. >> with the warnings and watches in effect. we'll check back with you later in the newscast as it warrants. thank you very much afrnlts american teacher shot and killed in yemen.

two gunman on a motorcycle opened fire on the man while he was getting in his car earlier today and the killer is getting away and an al-qaeda linked group saying that the man they targeted was a christian missionary and the state department, confirming he was an american citizen and language teacher for the institute. the state department has not released his name. the troubled personal life of the soldier suspected of killing 16 afghan civil youngs. army sergeant robert bales reportedly having deep money troubles, a criminal history and looking for a way out of the army, just a short time ago his family issuing a statement, they say they are stunned. part of the statement reads that they stand behind quote, the man they know as a dehe voted husband, father and dedicated member of the armed services end quote. and charges against bales expected to come this week ap the killings putting a decade old alliance in jeopardy.

before he alleged killed afghan civilians, she asked a real estate to put it on the market and 51,000 hit. and this comes two-years after the bales abandoned a home in auburn washington about ten miles away. the president of the home owners association there in auburn says about that second home, it was ram shackle. they were not dependable when they left. there were vehicles parked on the front yard and we've given up on the owners. and the man who allegedly went into the home for afghan villagers, was having problems with his oem. in 2002 he was arrested for allegedly assault ago girlfriend. he had anger management and charged dismissed, and charged with hit and run after he apparently fell asleep into the wheel and crashed ainto

this time and this was possibly a triple murder suicide. problems for the occupy wall street movement tonight. some of the members gathering for what they call their six month anniversary at the park where it began here in new york. and it did not go quietly. police arresting some people in late word, the alleged crimes are very serious. and this is the scene at lower manhattan and police at zuccotti park, arresting occupiers. and the park is temporarily close and anna, have you been able to learn some details with the alleged crimes. >> reporter: yeah, we're really kind of watching for it all to happen again. the really, according to members of the occupy wall street, the group will be reconvening tonight at eight o'clock and near zuccotti parks the they were kicked out again, on the six month anniversary and police entered the park just after 11:30 p.m. when the park owner asked the n.y.p.d. for help and officers told protesters to leave and

some didn't and were arrested. and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct and some face more serious charges of attempted robbery, sex abuse and assault. this as the tents were put up and sleeping bags rolled out which is against park rules, but they say that's not true and contend it's the police who are breaking law locking them out of the park and pushing and hitting them with batons and in some cases they say grabbing people by the throat. 73 people were arrested and three protesters and two officers were injured in those scuffles that you saw. >> harris: you know, in the six months since the movement began and we su it fan out across the country and logo t-shirts and everything. do we have some idea what is happening. >> once the weather heats up, occupy movement began in

know. casey stegall is live in los angeles on the story, casey. >> yeah, desperate times call for desperate measures. the average here in california, are you ready? 4.35 a gallon. that is about 50 cents more than what folks are paying in other parts of the country. it is the second highest in america, find hawaii, and that is why some people, like in san diego, for example, they are going a few miles south to fill up their tanks because a gallon of unleaded regular in mexico, running about 2.91. why so cheap? welsh the mexican government regulates the price like in venezuela, to keep their economics engines running. >> well, a lot of it is because mexico has quite a bit of oil production of its own, so, essentially, the state-owned oil company may be forced to sell at certain prices, the refineries who process the oil and sell it at a lower price.
