last night. the towns were little texas we had overturned semi trarls occurred at the 127, reports of tornados ju -- tornadoes. 50 miles per hour at times. for today we are looking at more risk for severe storms stretching along eastern portions of texas includes houston and arkansas including the town of little rock and person portions of louisiana. large size hail damaging winds. we are looking at the risk of possibly severe storms. besides hail and wind gusts and tornadoes we are looking at storms over the area there is a lot of moisture from the gulf of mexico being pumped up northward we are looking at flash flooding concerns. the areas shaded in maroon

rain and the storms. the storm system is slow moving a line of storms move through. 9:00 a.m. central time including southern texas west of houston we are seeing the possibility of more severe storms today. there was a tornado warning in effect. tornado warnings are issued very quickly and expire quickly. they are short lived only lasting a couple of minutes if that. pushing eastward we have a severe weather threat across eastern parts of texas western louisiana. isolated tornados will still be possible. other i big issues are rain. another 3-4 inches possible so a number of flood advisories in eastern texas and western miss

he was walking through a neighborhood to his home. the man who shot him has not been raised. he claims the shooting was done in self defense. he was murdered and it's a shame he is not getting any justice. we are not as a family getting any closure. we are for the getting any answers. it is very disturbing. george zimmerman a neighborhood watch captain says he was acting in self defense when he got the teenager. the 911 call that he made his claim of self defense on that cause he is a black man that appeared to be up to no good and reaching in his pocket. he didn't list tone the advice to not follow the teen. >> he is running. >> are you following him. >> yes.

we are now study after study shows if you are not getting enough sleep less than five hours for prolonged periods you are at risk of getting heart disease. that's extremely important. it can effect now breast cancer. this was something very interesting to me. women that did less than 6 hours for lo prolonged periods had increase of 62 percent of getting breast cancer. while these are observational studies you cannot dismiss them. we need to really pay attention to this. >> the magic number is 7 hours of sleep we should try to aim for 7? otherwise risk of cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, colon cancer. >> a lot of people think because of the increase in inflammation you are more susceptible po polyps which can turn to cancer. 5-6 to 7 hours ideally. >> so many people have a tough time sticking to that because of work schedules or children. can you make up for that through naps during the week or even on the weekend? >> excellent question.

you cannot make up for the lack of sleep. a lot of people think that i get three hours during the week i am going to get 12-hours on weekend. that's the worst thing you can do. we have tips for you which is going to help. make sure that you set a sleep schedule. wake up at the same time. your biological clock adjusts to it. that is extremely healthy. make sure you don't eat big portions of food before you go to bed. late eating a terrible. big portions are horrible. you have acid reflux that can keep you up during the night. stay away from alcohol or caffeine during the night. if you have to exercise get three hours before you go to bed. you want the body to wind down. stay away from facebook.
