scale of sun storms. it sure was spectacular. see that fireball? it felt like that yesterday in new york. such warm weather which was nice. time for the first degree weather alert. the heat wave will stay in effect in many parts of the country. >> it will be another warm day across parts of the northeast. upper 80s to incredibly warm yesterday. today will be warm but not as warm as yesterday. we are not talking about upper 80s but pleasant into the 70's. some spots could see lower 80s out there. get out and enjoy. it will be a beautiful day. we are going to have an elevated fire danger across portions of the northeast and philadelphia. keep that in mind. if you are burning or we have any wildfires out there they can spread rapidly because of the gusty winds. we are getting much needed moisture across portions of the

northeast. we will have showers and thunderstorms. unfortunately some of that precipitation will come in the form of severe weather possibly later on today. atlanta, georgia, you are in the bullseye here. we have slight chance to see thunderstorms that could produce damaging wind gusts and large hail. this won't be anywhere near as bad after what we saw as far as severe weather outbreak. you could see strong storms through out the day today and delays later on in the day. as far as rainfall goes already seeing that across northern mississippi the batches of yellow showing up on the satellite radar is where you have the heavier patchbatches o rain. seeing some of the moisture through tennessee. rainfall self ddeficit in the ir northeast. we got hit hard with tornadoes across oklahoma up into kansas and nebraska.

>> any patient can subscribe to it it depends on your insuranc . will take. i understand a doctor ruptured his eardrum on a plane and couldn't get into the doctor. call during the off hours. don't call during the morning or noon or lunch time offer after hour. >> lunch times will bare bad. usually the staff are going off as well. it's hard to get people on the phone. also see a lot of patients. mid morning or mid afternoon. >> if you want the great, great doctor sometimes he is not available she is not available but you could go to the newest doctor in that practice at least you are getting your foot in the door. he will bump it up if it's a complicated issue.

thunderstorms across the southeast. one of the reasons why the temperatures out there are cooler. it will be a slow go for you early this morning. if you live in mississippi parts of northern alabama and parts of tennessee. we have heavy downpours out there. just to the west of new orleans and across louisiana and across northern parts of mississippi that for the rain. if you drive there's poor visibility. west ward not expecting any precipitation that should help out cleanup efforts through out the early morning hours today. however as we head through tonight we have a storm system that will head eastward and will produce scattered shower and thunderstorm activity. one of the areas hit hard by tornadoes over the weekend. morning travel looks good. showers and thunderstorms southeast of new york city. don't think you will have problems and high temperatures

is tax free. i got a letter saying i would be on regular social security. the question is on disable i paid no tax, but do i now have to pay a tax? this is from mary ann. >> it depends. first of all it depends where you are paying the premiums. there is income you have to take that into consideration. the irs loves formulas. add all of your taxable income your tax exempt interest plus half of the social security benefits. if this number exceeds the faba number set forth by the irs these benefits would be taxable. 25,000 per single 35 thousand per joint. if you are over that the benefits would be taxable. up to 85. >> how do you know all that? keep the questions coming. vera will be back with more answers. she will answer the e-mails. shoot us e-mails to

and fed as well. because he makes less than 50,000 it is below that threshold. he is using these for education expenses. 106,650,000 for a joint filer. he is in the clear because he makes that 50,000 dollars no federal taxes. >> that will help him out. the if he canext question is hoe qualify for the child tax credit. would you have had to have paid income tax during the year. this is a tweet. >> yes. you would have had to have done that over the course of the year. this is specifically a credit that is designed specifically for working parents to give them a break for daycare costs and nanny costs. this is a credit that is frequently over looked year in and year out. it will reduce your tax dollar per dollar. this is worth anywhere from 20 to 35 percent of your daycare expenses. this is one want to claim. you have to be a working parent.

>> another e-mail. my income was from unemployment insurance. my deductions are much larger than my income. are there deductions that have been paid in 2011 that have been taken in 2012. people have a lot of questions about different things. the deductions may not be retro active. i am concerned, too, that the deductions are exceeding your income. that is a bit of a red flag. the odds of the audit are low. less than one percent. bu but it does raise the audit. he need to know the unemployment benefits are exceeding that is taxable. that is something to consider as well. sounds like he has a couple issues at play here actually. >> vera gibbons. vera is sticking around through fox and friends also. if you didn't get your question in you still have time.
