call or governor's call or both of your. it is a democrat mayor and republican governor and there could be a fight? >> well, the governor and i would be on the same page and reacting to the same information and the rnc would be partners and we'll not do anything without consulting them. governor would declare a state of emergency and issue of the evacuation would be my call and the rnc, that is in the purview of the rnc. but all of us would react the same way. it was not a likely scenario evacuation hasn't been considered or pulling the plug on the convention was never considered. it is it a tropical storm or a category one storm in allly hundred miles off of the coast of tampa, there will be wind and rain on monday, but after that, it is going to be a

great three days. >> neil: you are a heck of a salesman, because the in tampa during hurricane season. somehow you sold them on that being a good idea and here we are. and there they are. in thented, how do you think it will go? >> i think it will go fine. i think out of this will be a nominee and the democratic process will work and tampa will shine and there will be inconveniences and protestors and the world will meet tampa like never before. when it is all said and done, my goal it is to be the republican national commito favorite mayor and city. >> neil: so far they agree with that. the good thing about the rain, is it might keep protestors away. a lot of security officials like michael brown said that could work to a guy like yours advantage. you don't have to worry about

the protestors that much. do you greeagree with that? >> i do. we have an obligation to folks who are protesting are aware of how dangerous the storms can be. on the other side of that equation, i am not sure people coming down to protest realize how hot it is in the middle of the day and the need for hydration. you sit in the middle of a intersection in tampa, on the pavement, you will not last but about three minutes it is hot. they may be more appreciative of tampa fire and rescue when they drop like flies because they didn't hydrate themselves. it is a black turtle neck and mask. >> neil: game over. >> we are bringing you out vertically or horizontally. >> neil: i understood what you say. mayor, thank you very much. i don't care what flag you are. that is smart. he got republicans to come to

florida in hurricane city. game over and left to right, that guy is pretty good. we have been waiting for governor rick scott to give us an update on where things stand and we are looking at a market supdespite the economy being down anyone who knows what white house will be next year.

>> neil: we have had a number of meterologist talking about the track of this thing. catty one or twompt and joe telling us it could reach a category 3. hard to say, this is not florida, but lookingalt a lot of rain and oil facilities in the gulf are looking at a very long shut down and you as a result are looking at sustained high gas prices for a while at a minimum.

u.s. markets are up despite the economy all but shaken up. and closing in on 16 trillion bucks, you have to wonder what is up. former stock exchange dick grasso is one that they have had. dick why is this. and what appears to me a disconnect and a rocky recovery. it is a strong year to date market. >> neil, what the market is telling us. one it anticipates a resolution of the fiscal cliff issues if not before the election and clock runs out in december secondly, the market is pricing in or attempting to price in a resolution of the row row crisis. and third, i think the market is by historical standards at a relatively cheap level.

and not lose site of the fact that the market is pricing a regan-type election and ie election of mitt romney. >> you really think so? we are looking at video of you after the markets reopened after 9/11. the dow has doubled from the lows in early 2009 when the president came back in office. it is the wind of your market back and i am the reason why that is happening. what do you say about that? >> even dead cats bounce when you throw hem off of the empire state building. >> neil: no doubt. that is a helpful a bounce. >> look at what the market is pricing in is a 13-14 multiple which by historical standards

is cheap. you look back to the bottom of the market in 2009, it was irrationally dipressed and we are recovering to a point of the sanity. >> neil: you think the latest jump and surge we are seeing is in anticipation of a romney victory? >> i think there is an element of that. you can call it a romney victory or a second obama term in which we deal substantively with the issues of debt and deficit and entitlement reform. >> neil: the latter is an unlikely scenario. that is the rapping against the president. those things do not happen. >> he will. the morning after the election . if you assume he's lected. he has one thought in mind and

>> neil: so far it looks like isaac will avoid tampa you but that doesn't mean it will not create a lot of folks problems a tropical storm watch was issued in the tampa bay. and if isaac stays out in the gulf, those tropical storm force winds extend 185 miles from the center of the storm. they are expecting that tampa will see severe weather come

sunday night and monday. it is it 50,000 delegates and protestors plus that are expected to come here are in for roughly weather. possibly twisters touching down. and all on which path isaac takes. it will be rough here on monday. postpone or plans the convention. they are concerned about the visitors. they will focus on whether the resident will be evacueed if things get bad and rnc will focus on the delegates and whether it will go forward. it is scheduled to begin on monday and so issues there delegates will face rough weather on the way in.

they don't know how bad it is going to be until isaac. >> monday is the roll call vote and formally nominate mitt romney. that could be shifted around. >> they can get in the city. today and tomorrow is fine. but as long as they are within striking of the tampa times forum they will be able to do their business. they could get a lot weight. >> you are best at covering these. i have a feeling they will check in once or twice. big you know and some of it you may not. it is all about your green and focusing financial imact.
