a democratic legislature. this is a man who fixes problems and creates jobs and makes things work. that is the most important thing mitt has to convey. >> the polls show it is it a virtual dead heat but the president comes out on the issue of likeability. is it the economy, stupid or likeability that is the top issue and why is mitt romney having a tougher time on this issue of likeability in and of itself. >> you know, mirks -- mitt is a disciplined individual and goes about thing necessary a quiet disciplined way. that may not resonate a big number on the likeability factor. it resonates in confidence and capability and when people look at what happened in the country and the disaster we have. they are going to go with confidence and capability to

president took over in a crisis and took over and the republican leaders said number one goal was not solve problems but throw stuff at the president. i had to laugh at john talking about negative campaigning. he has been spews trash. and fact of the matter the president reached across the aisle time and time again. my job would have been a heck of a lot easier if the president sided with the base. but he tried time and time again to unify the country and did with the exception of the extremist that took over the republican party. i was born a republican there are great republicans in this counselry and mitt romney sold out to the very, very extreme parts of the party and i am sure that some of your listeners to find to be off of the cliff. what we need to do is continue with a president that moves us in a right direction and not

to have the same sort of the contributions that republicans are doing. if we want a discussion of openness and financing the government, the president who is a leader on that will do it >> but with let me ask you though. the polls are showing a virtual dead heat. isn't the white house concerned at this point of the game hoping that the incumbent president would be ahead far more thab - than what they are seeing right now. and more to do with getting the base to show up to the polls on election day? >> i have been all over the country with the base. it is more than energize get energized when they see the things coming out of the convention as they got energized in the primaries. and cheering for people to be talken off health care and dying. that is all you need to

welcome back everybody. tropical storm isaac has convention organizers in tampa geth contingency plans underway to insure the safety of the this happeneds expected to converge. and umbrella ands ponchos and rain coats have been stock piled and rick is live in florida right now where a state of emergency is underway. rick. >> yes, uma, florida's governor signed an executive order to sign a state of emergency and there is a tropical storm watch for all of the tampa bay area. isaac is not tracking to hit

tampa directly but they are extending out from the super. it could imact sevorely. it is expected to brush by cuba. it could make landfall twice in the state of florida. expecting to slam in the keys . and brush to the florida panhandle where it could arrive as a category one and strong and possible a category two. sometimes tuesday night and wednesday in the mean time florida resident are stocking up on supplies. they are encouraging them to correct 72 hours of nonparishables just to be prepared. they are telling us that
