4:04 pm
had in haiti it is affecting all of the island of hispanola and rain shower necessary parts of the key and florida. this is where the center of the storm is and not that much in the way of thunderstorm activity. starting to see more form. we thought it might spend more time over the island of cub a. when it is over land it weakens it will continue over water and not staying over land at all. before it heads boo key west. we are seeing rain showers and some of the thunderstorms have gusty winds and maybe 30 or 40 miles per hour. and we are 24 hours away from the direct impact in key west. that will be happening tomorrow night probably with the hurricane. all day long tomorrow, when you see the threat for severe weather. we could see tornados and a lot to hit your home and cause
4:05 pm
a lot of the damage. and this is the path by tomorrow night moving close to key west and somewhere in the keys and pulls out in the gulf. harris, it is because of not having much interaction with land. latest word coming out of the national hurricane center, thigh think these intensity estimates are low. we could be talk being a category 3urk had hurk somewhere in the panhandle of florida and we can't rule out new orleans. not willing to rule that out. some of the models are toying with that. we have a rough one on our hands. tuesday afternoon and evening landfall here in the northern gulf. >> you know, the words direct impact expected in parts of florida. this is the worst case scenario. and rick, we'll see you later in the newscast, thank you.
