staff director told me there were a knupp number of calls from press about this. i called david petraeus as a matter of fact i had an appointment with him at 3:00 that afternoon and that was cancelled. >> bill: so what does the story mean for you as an american citizen. with us is ravel -- ralph peters. what's the most important part of the story. >> the most important part is that it appears that the white house is lying again just as it was lying about benghazi. the key here, the important detail is the time line. who knew what, when? well, now it's emerged that contrary to denials, attorney general holder did know months ago about the investigation. it's -- to believe that eric holder did not tell his good friend, the president, that there could be a breaking sex

scandal with the cia director in campaign season. >> bill: let me stop there. you make a pretty explosive charge at the top that the white house is lying. from what i understand the fbi does not comment publicly that's hot agency is on this case on anything until they have reached conclusions. they don't say for example, i'm investigating o'reilly for tax fraud or whatever it may be. until they have reached the indictment stage where they have enough to present. what's the white house lying about? >> well, i think the white house is lying about the -- the idea this the president didn't know until clapper and petraeus tell him, i mean, that is just -- you can't believe that you can't believe the attorney general wouldn't warn his friend, the president. >> bill: i'm not defending president obama because i really don't know what his -- he is having a press conference by the way on wednesday. obviously this is going to be huge. i hope libya is, too.

i'm not sure that they are lying about anything at this juncture. maybe they are. >> let me lay it out for you. >> bill: go ahead. >> okay. now, this was beautifully engineered because they are very good political operatives to make sure the president was unstained by all of this. that he could say oh, i didn't know anything but gee, dave, thanks for your service to the country, bye-bye. what they do is even though we know eric holder knew, the attorney general, he did not tell the one man who needed to be told. >> bill: nobody believes he didn't tell him. >> no. i'm talking about jim clapper. i'm talking about clapper now. he didn't tell the director of national intelligence about this, petraeus' boss, even though he is the guy who needed to negotiation why didn't they tell clapper? >> bill: i don't know. >> clapper has got a lot of rec tuesday thrsm he knows he has to keep the intelligence system clean. he would have, during the campaign. insisted that petraeus go immediately. that would have been at least a distracter during the campaign. the republicans are going to say get rid of petraeus.

a national hero. >> bill: if i'm the president, what i would do, as soon as i learned that my cia chief is under investigation for compromise situation, and it's not just the affair, it's the computer was used by people, and stuff was here and there. i basically have him take a leave of absence. i get him out of there. even while the investigation is underway. that's what i do as president. i think that's what you would do, too. as soon as you learn about, hey there is something. >> no. i would fire him immediately. >> bill: without proof? without knowing what he did or didn't do? i don't think that would be fair. >> once he had the emails. >> bill: right, once they had evidence yard, then certainly, so what you are basically saying is that they kept this thing buried until after the election, fearing that any revelation might hurt the president. that's what your accusations are. >> yes. and at least be a distraction. answer then how cynical to tell it the director of national intelligence, james clapper about it late on election day. and it's just -- it was just

can it mean for the folks watching at home. cia director, by all accounts the man knows what he is doing and effective antiwar. dwight eisenhower was having affair when he was demanding the armies during world war ii. jfk i don't know how the guy stood up. and you had clinton and all of this stuff. >> cia director is a very special post. what it means for the people at home is, one, in my analysis, the white house is lying to the american people yet again the white house has been ducking benghazi. that's part of this. i think they were getting cold feet about petraeus testifying underoath what he might say that he might not hugh to the party line and it was all about the video because clearly he knew better. they are worried about petraeus on the benghazi hearings on the hill this week. plus petraeus is seen as potential presidential or vice presidential candidate in coming years. so they just nailed this guy

no. it's not like i was in the shower this morning and found a lump in my armpit. that's always my fall back position. i have got a great life. but i'm just saying it is not the mercury have grown comfortable with. >> bill: now, i have given miller's election take a lot of thought. and i disagree with him. i believe traditional america can come back but it will take a very special person to make that happen. let's look at what happened six days ago. president obama received about 62 million votes. 11% less than he got in 2008. so he is slipping in popularity. mitt romney ended up with 3.3 million view votes than the president, close but romney got 2.3% less than mccain garner, mccain was running right into a recession. so it's more about romney's failure to build on mccain's vote than obama doing anything. a stronger candidate would have defeated the president. mr. obama won the woman vote,

blacks and asians. but it was the hispanic vote that really nailed romney. 71% of latinos voted for the president. that was the difference in florida, virginia, colorado, and nevada. other states were impacted as well. romney took white males and independents by significant margins. but when you bunch it all up together, when you bunch it up, it was an entitlement vote this year. american families earning less than $30,000 a year broke big for the president. 62% to 35%. so it's clear that left wing ideology did not win the day for barack obama, big spending on federal programs did. that's the key. because many in the media would have us believe that liberal ideology was confirmed by this election. it was not. however, however, secularism is certainly eroding traditional power. no question about it. once a week voted for romney 59, 39, the problem is church

going is on the decline in this country. here is is an example. despite the president's incense tense that provide birth control and after pills. catholics supported obama 50% to 48%. down some. illinois now only 38% attend weekly mass. can you see the impact of creeping secularism on the religious vote. on paper, the stats look hopeless for traditional americans. but they can be reversed. however u it will take a very special politician to do that. by the way, mitt romney didn't even try to marginalize secularism. he ignored it it a mistake because president obama is the poster guy for the secular progressive movement. the key question going forward is the sp. movement good for americans no matter what their ethnicity or nic condition in the answer is no. three vivid examples. secular progressives champion

a do your own thing philosophy. no judgments about personal behavior are allowed in that rebound. the public school system has adopted that philosophy. and that's now wreaking havoc on american society. in 2010, about 41% of american babies were born out of web lock. up 8 percentage points since 2000. and up an astounding 23% since 1980. babies born to unmarried women drive poverty every suddeny study shows that american minority groups are the most affected. in 2000 10, 73% of black babies were born outside of marriage. 53 of hispanic babies were. the number was 29% for white babies. so the cycle continues. minorities are more affected by poverty because the traditional family unit has broken down in those precincts. and rather than trying to reverse that, secular progressives want more entitlement spending.

nothing about changing libertine attitudes. on the abortion front, same thing. rather than trying to discourage taking the lives of millions of fetuses, the s.p.s have created a mythical war on women. screaming that so-called reproductive rights are under assault. the abortion zealots want the procedure on demand. no matter how late term. are stridently opposed to even counseling before this life-ending procedure is undertaken. abortion is settled law in the u.s.a. but it should be discouraged because human d.n.a. is present upon conception. thus, the situation becomes a human rights issue. ask yourself this question. should america be a country where potential human life, an undeniable fact after conception is terminated for convenience, for convenience? is that the kind of country we want? >> and the federal government

is going to demand that citizens who oppose abortion pay for it? what say you planned parenthood? finally, two states washington and colorado voted to legalize pot, grim stats on this i had gross. since 2008, teenage pot use up 440%. teenage pots for teens up 80%. states that have lenient medical marijuana laws driving those stats. why? because legalizing pot sends a message that it's fine to use it getting the are you going at the corner pot shop makes it readily available to anyone. ask any drug counselor. and he or she will tell you once a child is introduced to intoxicants that child's life changes for the worse. some may not become substance-involved but millions will. do we want to encourage that? the s.p.'s don't care about addiction. they don't want limitations on so-called private behavior.

no judgments. want to smoke drugs? fine. want to abort a fetus? we will drive you to the clinic. want to have a kid when you are 16, no problem at all, we will will stuart support you. if mitt romney spelled that out what the secular progressive movement is really all about in strong vivid termination and how president obama nanels that, romney would not have lost 71% of the hispanic vote. i can tell you. i believe the majority of americans can be persuaded that the far left is a dangerous outfit. bent on destroying traditional america and replacing it with a social free fire zone that drives dependency and poverty. we the people need to be confronted with the reality of our situation. but so many of our politicians are cowardly that the truth is rarely heard. well, tonight you heard it. and maybe four years from now, what's really at stake in america will finally be heard loud and clear. and that's the memo.

as juan was pointing out many people still do that that can't result in electoral victory in the future. i think you are correct that it takes a special person. i think took a special person in barack obama to bring the left to where it is right now. i'm frankly surprised it got here. and it will take somebody who really connects with people who is charismatic and smart and takes message to people in a smart way where you are not demonizing anybody and rye jecket the notion that i or bill or anyone else is doing that and explicit ways. i think you have to cross these cultural barriers and talk in a way that's smart and reach folks. that's is part of what was missing. >> talk in a way that challenges them. i mean, look, as you said, most hispanic americans are catholic. all right? they are family oriented. >> strongly. >> bill: tradition in hispanic precincts family, family, family. yet, they rejected all of that they rejected all of that. >> why do you think that? >> bill: because if you look at the democratic convention and you saw all the abortion

benghazi story. the media has said since romney didn't bring it up, they didn't feel any obligation to bring it up. if they put that past the election and they put this petraeus thing past the election. this second term is going to be pretty ugly people not going to go away. >> it won't be the bad guys some indication that his whatever you want to call her, his friend may have made a speech and given away some secret information that she may or may not have gotten. >> bill: only thing that could happen is if holder gets dragged into this because he may because he obviously overseas the fbi and he knew what was going on and if he see that he bury it and got fast and furious on his resume. >> you can bury certain things for only a certain amount of

time. and second terms are not kind to second term presidents. i think coupled with the stagnant economy and benghazi and whatever comes out of this petraeus thing. you know, barack obama won the election but he may have also lost the election. >> bill: we have a press conference on wednesday. so it will be interesting to see how aggressive the media is. this is the first press conference the president has held since he graduated from harvard law school because he hasn't had a lot of those. now, you heard my talking points memo which is quite extensive and painted, i think, a fairly vivid picture of where we are in america socially. and you say? can i answer it, bill, in a political sense? >> >> bill: sure. >> if people agree with you they will vote one way. if they don't agree with you it's going to affect their vote. first of all, i think dennis miller made a lot of sense. that's number one. right? i'm not saying you didn't but i agree more with dennis miller. >> bill: that's it's not coming back.

traditional america as we my it is gone? ward, june? wally and the beav out of here? >> yeah, pretty much. let's look at it this way from a political point of view. we keep hearing that america is a center-right country, right? finance it's a center-right country how did barack obama win two elections? i'm not sure it's a center-right country. that's number one. number two, we keep hearing that republicans have a problem with black voters and latinos and women and young people. look, far and away the biggest problem for republicans is with republicans far and away. two days after the election listening to rush limbaugh on the radio calls himself as traditional family values conservative. i know what that means right from the jump. and he says i will never -- these are his words. i will never vote for a moderate republic and he didn't vote for romney. he sat home and then for good measure, he says, that if any

republic says i'm going to reach across the aisle, i will not vote for him. purists like that will sink the republic party. what percentage would you put on that kind of a presentation? how many republicans are in that category? voted for mccain. i don't know how these agree with guy. i bet you it's a million or so. if they nominate somebody that he likes. and this gets back to the talking points, some hard line social conservative you have to be able to persuade people in the middle that your vision for the country is good for them. and that's what i was saying. i think the hispanic precincts can be won over. you just have to say, look, it's not good for you. this isn't good for you. >> it takes a certain kind of republic. it takes a kind of conservative barack obama and i mean that in the best sense

where she told everybody the system was rigged against them. by the way look out coney robbins there is a new motivational speaking sheriff in town and her name is elizabeth warren. a horrible message to send to to people in this country. could you imagine a teacher or a coach or a counselor explaining to a student that the system was rigged against them? that would sap their motivation to improve themselves and fail what you are saying. you believe this was a corner stone of ms. warren's presentation? >> well, it's the corner stone of the democratic party and the plan is or the inference is we're gonna fix it. we're going to unrig it. but, what's obama been doing for four years? how come he has not unrigged the system? and then what about carter and what about clinton? did they unrig it and then reagan re-rigged it and then how does it work with the

rigging and the unrigging and why can't you unrig it? >> bill: you know, elizabeth warren is a classic liberal, harvard person. i know those people because i had some association with them a few years ago. she believes that the american society is basically unjust. and she is a native american woman, you know that. >> sure. >> bill: she was able to rise up and overcome whatever prejudices are against native americans. so, i don't know why she didn't make that a corner stone like say, look what happened to me. i survived little big horn and here i am. and i'm going to be a senator and, you know, shows that our society is fluid that you can rise. certainly barack obama is the greatest example of that. >> well, it's a form of grandiosity. it's governor kasichly saying yes, i'm a woman. i'm three quarters ircoy. and my father was a janitor and i was born in the 30's. but you guys aren't me. you see, i'm smart. i'm gifted. i have been touched by god. i can overcome this kind of
