he talked about what life has been like since the campaign and he addressed the issue of sequestration. he has been critical the role has played in the negotiations so far. we should have a deal but politics gets in the way. >> today what we have seen is the president campaigning the american people around the country, flying around the country and bee rating the republicans. what does that do? causes the republicans to retrench and put up a wall and fight back. there should be a deal done should be not just solving the short term sequester issue but the long-term issue americans have. i look at this sequester and also the expiration of the bush tax cuts almost once a generational opportunity for america to solve its fiscal problems if we do that we can

watch heads up again that is in dc. we could be looking at over 5 inches of snow from the storm system already producing areas of snow across north dakota, minneapolis, all of the way down into sections of illinois, chicago. you will also be seeing significant snow from the storm system by tomorrow 6 inches is forecast in the city of minneapolis. you are under a winter storm warning you could be looking at a foot of snow from this storm system. large storm that will be heading east and also tins fying over the next couple days. it's not just how much snow they are we are going to be see bug the amount of wind. wind gusts over 30 miles per hour at times. that will be producing issues with any trouble across chicago minneapolis or further east across portions of dc and baltimore. keep this in mind over the next couple days. over the weekend it was chilly out across sections of the southeast. we are under a brief warning over georgia and northern parts of florida with cool temperatures early this morning

sleeping. a cross country skier is killed and another is in critical condition this morning after they were buryd in an avalanche in colorado. the men were under the snow nor about 90 minutes before rescuers could reach them. one man already died but rescuers wereable to dig out the other. they brought him to the hospital. arizona state prison is on lock down this morning after 400 inmates started a massive fight on sunday. officers were able to quickly break it up. they have to be treated. two staff members also have minor injuries. thank you, heather. the sink hole that literally swallowed a man from his florida home last week could be revealed today. demolition crews will finish knocking down the remaining walls and begin clearing away all of that debris. wtvt reporter april kellogg is live in florida with more for us. good morning, april. what can you tell us?

>> good morning. we are expecting demolition crews out here in possibly 2-3 hours from now bringing down this house behind me. they start this had on sunday. i am told actually they didn't bring it down fully on purpose. yesterday the goal was to open the front of it and allow family members to get any belongings they could from that how is that today they will be bringing the house down. it is heartbreaking to see this. family members had to turn away as the walls from cowere coming. their help of 40 years. the search was called off over the weekend for their loved ones. jeffery bush was the man sucked into the ground when the sink hole opened up under his home last week. the primary goal wasn't to demolish it yesterday. that's when they will come in today. we were told some valuables were recovered pictures a family bible as well. crews will be out here later on this morning to do some of the heavy lift can. the main goal, get this house down then engineers can finally

be recovered. >> the drummer for country star kelly accomplishing has been seriously injured on one of two crashes on a highway. he suffered head and neck injuries a 4 car crash. pickler asking fans to pray for him on twitter. it happened 15 minutes after another crash on the other side of the highway that killed 6 people it was a family returning from rural wisconsin a home from vacation in florida. a california retirement community is doing their own investigation now. after a nursery fuses to do cpr on a resident there they saved her life captured on a dramatic 911 call.

problem. president obama wants a compromise to work with him. he is worried about how it will effect the economy. >> this will cause a ripple effect across the country. the longer they remain in effect the grart the damage. >> the sequester could cause the loss of 750,000 dollar jobs and slow the economy by more than 1 and a half percent. >> our hope is as more republicans start to see the pain in their own districts that they will choose bipartisan compromise over this position. that's why just yesterday the president is on the phone calling both democrat and republican senators who he believes want to be a part of a compromise. >> national economic counselor asks quote this is not a win for any one.

meantime the uncertainty is affecting stock markets over seas and you can be sure wall street is watching this one as well. thank you so much kelly wright in washington. queen elizabeth in the hospital today battling the stomach flu at 86 years old doctors say they want to keep a close eye on her. reporter paul harrison is live outside of the hospital with all of the details. paul? good afternoon from london. the queen has been here in the hospital for less than 24-hours. we got a note from buckingham palace on friday to say she was suffering from symptoms of gastro int rightttirnitytis. she was going to be staying at windsor all week. then we heard nothing for about 24-hours until yesterday afternoon another statement. this time telling us that the queen had been brought here at

the hospital in central london for further checkout for assessment. there was some concern that suddenly perhaps her health was worse. we are told by buckingham palace she is in good health and also in good spirits. she will be assessed for the next few days or so. whether she is having further tests for other things we don't know. we are unlikely to be told perhaps at all. certainly the queen likely to be here for at least another couple of days or so as she has been forced to cancel all of her engagements next week including a trip to rome or london with the italian president. she will not like the fact that she is had to cancel all of her engagements but clearly for the queen right now it is her health that must come first. >> whatever the doctors say. thanks so much paul harris live in london this morning. it is time now to get your first degree weather update with maria molina. >> the midwest about to get hit

again with another snowstorm. >> they are start to go see some of the snow coming down across sections of minnesota, wisconsin even down into sections of illinois. the center of the storm system is pretty far west right now across central sections. the storm will gather strength and also more moisture. that's when it will get going as we head into later today across sections of north central north dakota and eventually into sections of the great lakes. by wednesday it could be impacting dc with significant snow. we have a winter storm watch in effect for the city of washington, d.c. and also the baltimore area. looking at snow right now across north dakota, minnesota, iowa down into sections of illinois there is aven yan area see ago wintery snow mix. warning for the city of chicago state of virginia under a winter storm watch as well.

finances. >> michigan governor rick snyder declared a financial emergency in detroit which effectively clears the way for the state to assume control of the city's books and decide whether detroit should file for the largest municipal bankruptcy in u.s. history. snierd has identified a top candidate to act as the stays emergency manager but wouldn't idea my the actual person. detroit faces $327 million budget deficit more than 14 billion in long-term debt and persistent cash flow issues. detroit mayor dave binge says he will try to work with the state he is against having an emergency manager. detroit officials have 10-days to request a hearing from the governor about the decision which snyder says will be held on march 12th. after that he will confirm or revoke the declaration of emergency. if he confirms the emergency as expected management of fiscal affairs would have a board composed of three state officials who snyder appoints
