plot to set off the rest of their bombs there. siting information from the fbi say the surviving suspect is talking and telling investigators the plan was to use the explosives they still had the five pipe bombs and the pressure cooker bomb similar to the ones in boston. the suspects were familiar with times square. >> we know that dzhokhar was photographed in times square with friends on or before april 18th of 2012. and that he was in the city again in november of 2012. we don't know if those visits were related in any way to what he described as the before's spontaneous decision to target times square. but the two brothers never made it out of massachusetts. they are accused of car jacking an suv that was low on gas when they stopped for fuel the victim escaped ran for help and a chase with police began ending in the

shootout and the death of tamerlan the older brother. the surviving suspect told investigators they planned to use the rest of the bombs in the heart of manhattan. >> we were informed the surviving attacker said new york city was the next on the targets. they intended to drive to new york and detonate the additional explosives in times square. they had built these additional explosives and know they had the capacity to carry out the attacks. >> new york officials acknowledge that as the suspects made it to new york it is possible they could have carried out the plan there could have had many deaths despite the police presence there and many camer cameras. it is time for the top 5@5. a new jersey man raised for carrying homemade explosives.

it happened before the boston bombing. they found him carrying two homemade explosives on a new jersey train headed for new york. they found bomb making materials in his house. they did not report the arrest the information came to light when the 27-year-old came to court. he received a summons. that investigation is ongoing. president obama said it would be a game changer in syria. >> a red line for us is we start sealing a bunch of chemical weapons moving across state lines. >> the white hughes says syria has used chemical weapons against its own people. many law americas are urging the administration to act. >> two years ago we should have intervened. it's a shameful part of american

september 30th. >> i am delighted the senate just passed a bipartisan bill to resolve a serious problem confronting the american traveling public and our economy. but this bill doesn't turn off sequestration. it just makes life a little easier for air travelers who saw at least 863 flights delayed on wednesday because of budget related staffing problems. what is interesting is the white house has issued a statement highly critical of this bill passed by the democratically controlled senate. late last night press secretary jay carney said it would be good news for the american traveling congress that means unnecessary delays but ultimately this is no more than a temporary band-aid that fails to address the threat by our economy by the mindless across the board cuts. the house is scheduled to be out of town as well. even though we don't have a firm

it has been used in nearly 400,000 surgeries nationwide last year. this high-tech helper is now under scrutiny. several deaths have been langed to da vinci surgeries and there are over 500 reports of complications. which is better? a doctor or a robot? let's ask the doctor of the medical news team. thank you for joining us. >> good morning. >> it's not a doctor or a robot. you emphasize it's all about the doctor behind the robot. >> the answer to that question is you need to have a real experienced doctor plus the technology then you will have outcome. the problem we are having right now you have a lot of surgeons take a short course maybe a weekend course and they come on monday and start doing these kind of surgeries for long operations not having the right team or anesthesiologist. they end up having

complications. the technology is safe. i have done over 4,000 of these cases zent had any issues. you need to have a program, you need to have the entire team with expertise then you put it together plus the technology you have the outcome. when i do these surgeries it takes only about an hour. there's no transfusion. all of the surgeons i did yesterday they are going to go home today. the outcome is good. the learning curve is steep and long and it takes time to get good at it. a oo the manufacturer of this da vinci program says the rate of death from the robot is consistent with the rate that you would see in traditional surgery. is that correct? >> it is absolutely correct. again the technology has a long history. this is not something new it has been around for about 12 years. you have to learn in the virtue reality and simulation labs. you need to practice outside of the operating room.

if you use this just in the operating room you will have problems. it came to gynecologists using it for hysterectomies and that's one of the reasons we see complications. i think guidelines for this is absolutely important. hospitals have to put in the criteria. make sure the right doctors are behind these kind of robots and the patients really enjoy a good outcome and faster recovery. >> it is a faster recovery and there are certain risks are minimized such as the surgeon's hand getting tired or shaky, et cetera. >> it's a good point. if you watch the way i sit i do this operation sitting down. you have a camera that magnifies everything. you have 10-15 times magnification. three-dimensional views. when i was doing open surgery we were using our hands because we couldn't see well. blood was every where so we were using touch factor, now because

the lion's cage door open while she was cleaning another cage. that led to this. 500 pound lion escaping and striking hanson who died from a broken neck. the attack was an accident and there is no liability toward the cat haven park's owner. an incredible story of survival. these siblings thought they were going on an all day fishing trip in puerto rico until their boat's electrical system failed. the boats stalled and water rushed inside forcing the brother and sister to jump out. they swam 8 miles over 14 hours until they finally reached shore. they were eventually rescued a local farmer. it is not your typical buoy. a college rowing team found this during practice. they were practicing in the new york hudson river when they noticed this 7 foot head floating in the water. it was made of stier row foam and fiberglas.

to follow in the foot steps here are the steps. avoid an easy pass word. you also want to make sure it has at least 8 characters since longer pass words are harder to crack. play around with characters and spelling. for example if you wanted to make your pass word diane you can use 1 or exclamation point or spell out the word eye instead. never disclose the pass word to any one. if you think someone knows your pass word change it immediately. even if you don't, change your pass word regularly. that doesn't mean recycling by adding a number 2 actually change it. on that note avoid using the same pass word for all of your accounts at least your most important account should all have different pass words. this way if they get a hold of one pass word the access to all of your accounts. that means there's more to
