national airport handing out fliers. they say that's the last place any one saw their 83-year-old grandmother. she arrived on an american airlines flight friday. it was just after 6:00 her family ways waiting for her by baggage claim. she with memory problems was standing in the taxi line. k-9 teams actually tracked her scent here to roosevelt island but they don't believe she went any further. the family says american airlines was supposed to provide a wheelchair escort for their grandmother to the baggage claim. the daughter says they have never had any problems. at this point no comment from american airlines but the family is quite worried. >> certainly hope they find her okay. thank you so much. we appreciate it. >> the time now is 18 minutes

dr. mark seigel is here to separate fact from fiction. i have had 8 skin cancers including melanoma including this little scar on my face which doesn't always cover with makeup. people say you look better with a tan, but ask yourself when you look like with a whole in your face. >> they got it early. >> they got it early because i went early. melanoma doesn't follow the abc rule. >> abcd is same tree, the border, color diameter. if it's irregular and has many different colors and one side is different than the large, larger than 6 millimeters. e means it is evolving that it's changing. but the problem is, it cannot have any of those things. the problem is it can look very, very regular. if you have a sudden new growth on your skin that is irregular. it can fall outside of the abc

rule. >> if you have a dark complex you are safe. >> most melanomas go to the light skin light hair blue eyes. there's something called an impigenous under your fingernails. if you are darker skinned it may be harder to find. >> another one, you only get melanoma where you had a sunburn. that is sometimes true but -- >> that is also fiction. it can be anywhere in the body. it can be on the palms of your hands signed your mouth, under your nails as i mentioned. you have to have physicians on the lookout. they have to screen it if anything irregular is found go t see a dermatologist. >> you can only get melanoma if you are occasionally in the sun. >> you can get it from
