sophistic when writing to the factor. please remember, the spin stops here because we are definitely looking out for you. >> welcome to "hannity." this week may be the defining week in the obama presidency as the lies about benghazi now begin to unfold. tonight evidence is mounting to prove what we have been saying for months, and that's the obama white house engaged in a widespread cover-up immediately after the benghazi attack and they did it to win the election. there was an' salt that took the lives of four americans, including our ambassador christopher stevens. it is due, in fact, to the three men known as benghazi

whistleblowers. as we wait to hear from the high ranging state department officials, details about what they plan to tell lawmakers. they are already coming to light. mark thompson, let's start with him. he is a former marine. fox news has confirmed that mr. thompson plans to testify that on the night of the benghazi attack then secretary of state, hillary clinton, tried to remove our counter bureau out of the chain of decision making. that's the first piece of evidence proving the administration intended from day one to suppress the notion that this was a coordinated terrorist attack. the second highest ranking official on the night of the attack, that's greg hicks. he served a a foreign service diplomat for 20 years. he knew it was an act of terror, quote, from the getgo. in addition, he said his jaw hit the floor when he turned on the television and saw ambassador susan rice saying this on one of

the five sunday shows. >> our current assessment is that what happened this benghazi was initially a spontaneous reaction to what transpired hours before in cairo. almost a copycat of the demonstrations against our facility in cairo, which were prompted, of course, by the video. >> this was not a preplanned, premeditated attack. what happened is it was a spontaneous reaction what had just transpired in cairo. >> she did not independently decide to appear on those shows nor did she come up with the youtube excuse. we now have prove her talking points were developed and edited by top administration officials for days. let's review the facts. now we know that on the day of the attack the state department operations center sent out two alerts. one came just after 4:00 p.m.
6:03 pm
eastern time stating that the consulate was under attack. the other was sent two hours later saying an al-qaeda-linked group already claimed credit for the attack. that was tuesday. but the talking points weren't sent out until just before 7:00 p.m. on friday night. the only draft accurately included references to jihadists, islamic extremists, experienced fighters and al-qaeda and details of five recent terror attacks in benghazi. take a look at your screen. on the left, that's draft two of the talking points. as you see, several of the bullet points referencing al-qaeda were redacted, in other words taken out. that's how the final version on the right of your screen came to be. it reads in part, quote. >> that shall as we know, was a complete and utter lie.
6:04 pm
there are three main things here. number one, why were repeated requests before the attacks denied? they knew that they were in trouble. number two, during the attack why were rescue troops told to stand down? we need answers to that. and why did the president, why did he go to sleep this night without asking about the ambassador, asking about the embassy, and why did he decide to go campaigning the next day? also number three, who is responsible for the outright lies after the attack and the coverup? now remember, watergate was about lying and covering up. by the way, in that case nobody died in watergate. here to talk about these developments, two men who will be on hand for the whistleblowers testimony on witness, the chairman of the house oversight committee, congressman darrell issa along with congressman jason chasa. nice to have you here. >> hi, sean.
6:05 pm
>> jay carney said that's eight months ago. hillary, what difference does it make? let's start at the beginning. requests for security were denied, congressman issa. why? >> october 10th we made the case it was denied and at that time people closely associated with some clear professionals really believed it was based on this concept of normalization. in other words, pretend libya was safe and the war on terror was behind us. we still believe that's probably the genesis of so much of the coverup, if you will, that occurred immediately following it. but you said very well in your intro, there was a campaign going on, there was a president trying to win re-election, and the changes were made at a very high level. >> congressman, there was -- we now have discovered through temperature, greg hicks among others, there was a c-130 ready to bring reinforcements to help
6:06 pm
those that were under fire and they were ordered to stand down? >> the administration, including secretary pennetta, were very crystal clear, there were no military assets, but itch to tell you, we had proximity, we had capability, four individuals in libya armed, ready to go, dressed about to get in the car to get in the airport to help their fellow countrymen who were dying and under attack in benghazi and they were told to stand down. that's as sickening and disgusting as anything i have seen. that is not the american way. we had people getting killed, we had people willing to risk their lives to go save them and somebody told them to stand down. >> we confirmed, that c-130 was was on the tarmac? we have people willing to say that? >> it left without them. >> who gave the order? >> that's what we still have to get some more information about. this is what we anticipate
6:07 pm
wednesday at the hearing. we have people there were there on the ground in libya that will talk directly to this. >> let me show both of you a series of statements that were made about the benghazi attacks and the youtube video and i want juxtapose this to what we know. the original were correct. it was al-qaeda. but let's listen to the administration tell what we now know was a lie and that the libyan president said was a lie, but yet they still went out with this message to the american people. let's remind people what they were saying. >> some have thought to justify this vicious behavior, along with the protest that took place at our embassy in cairo yesterday, as a response to inflammatory material posted on the internet. >> we can all condemn this

reprehensible video. >> we find the video that has been so offensive to muslims to be disgusting and reprehensible. >> although we had nothing to do with the video, we find it offensive. it's not representative of america's views. >> the crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the muslim world. now, i have made it clear that the united states government had nothing to do with this video. >> congressman ice saw, that's two weeks after. now i don't want to laugh, and gregory hicks is saying they knew from the getgo. and yet these -- you were denied access to these witnesses. were those statements concerted lies, in your opinion? >> i think not only were they untrue and no one to be untrue, but these brave individuals, particularly gregory hicks, coming forward, putting his career on the line to say i told them this was an attack, i tried
6:09 pm
to tell them consistently, he even talks in his testimony about calling the state department and saying that what susan rice couldn't have been true. how did they do it? and he said that his -- his statements were unwanted. and that ever since then it's been even harder on him. this is the kind of thing that you see and you don't believe u don't believe the denials, the delays, and then the outright count air tax. you understand the administration, including jay carney; on the attack trying to claim that the whistle blowers are somehow disgruntled or lying. this kind of attack is what we expect. it's one of the reason that the whistleblowers laws are in effect, to prevent the kind of things that are going on with these brave men. >> let me ask you both this question. the terrorists attacks happened just two months before the presidential election. is it your belief and will the evidence so this week that the american people were purposely lied to so that this would not

purposely being lied to to manipulate an election. if they are purposely lying to the american people and covering up, especially in this case there are four dead americans, including two navy seals, and, of course, the ambassador, the first ambassador killed in 30 years. >> can you imagine if after the boston bombings that our secretary of state came out eight months later and said what difference does it make? can you imagine if the spokesperson for the president of the united states said it happened a long time ago? no one has been brought to justice. we have four dead americans. we have an american who it of is still in the hospital tonight, nearly 8 months later, that's how badly wounded he is. when secretary clinton came before the foreign affairs committee and testified that the people on the ground made the decisions about the security, that was never true. there isn't somebody even the age of six years old and old they're believes that was ever true. it wasn't true then, it's not true now. for her to say it four and a half months later is just wrong.
6:19 pm
>> let's assume, what i believed from the beginning we were being lied to purposely, turns out to be true? what does that mean, congressman issa? >> it means that we need to change the rules that allow this kind of opaqueness to this administration. we've got to have realtime, over-the-shoulder ability to see what we are being told. ultimately they have made a claim. the administration has made a claim that for classified reasons they change the story. we believe right now that may be the biggest lie of all, and we intend on making the president come clean as to, quote, what the classified reasons are that would justify lying to the american people. >> any crime? >> lying to congress is a crime. >> sun light is the best disinfectant. we have the duty and the obligation to bring out the facts to the american people and especially the families who lost loved ones that night. >> they deserve answers and the country deserves answers and we deserve the truth and we need to
