(cheers) >> that is gina dejesus in a neon green hooded sweatshirt. check her out giving the crowd a thumbs up. in this mini van amanda berry she told cops she wanted to make a public statement but she later changed her mind. let's go to ainsley answer ai-- earhardt. she has information on how they were imprisoned inside castro's home. >> good morning, heather. these three women kept in separate rooms according to

police. they were scared. police say they never ever over that 10 year period tried to escape together scared of what castro might do or day to them. we are talking to a lot of people in the community. it seemed odd three women against one man and they never tried to escape until amanda berry made that 911 call on monday. many people here wondering were they drugged. that was the first question we asked in the press conference yesterday. >> were there drugs involved? was ariel castro drugging these girls to prevent them from escaping? what window of opportunity allowed them to escape this time? >> number one, we are not positive about any type of drugs if they were drugged. that is yet to be determined. number two, the only opportunity after interviewing the young ladies to escape was the other day when amanda escaped. so they were in that home --

they don't believe they have been outside of the home in the last 10 years respectively. >> he went on to say the only time they had gone outside was to go in the backyard that happened twice. they were disguised and led by castro into a back garage or a shed in the backyard. other than that they had never seen the light of day or been outside over the last ten years. >> this is so horrible. ainsley, police are also looking for another missing girl possibly linked to the case. what did they tell you about this ashley summer? >> all three of the ladies that were found inside castro's home they dispiered within a 5 block radius also ashley summers disappeared from that radius she was 14 years old vanished 6 years ago. we tracked down fbi who special agents in the press conference and got this exclusive

interview. >> still have a young lady that was 14 when she went missing ashley summers. her picture has been out there. we are hoping the publicity will generate information. >> why ashley summers, why is her name popping up? >> she was from the same area and the last sighting of her was the lasame area where gina and amanda were. we always wondered if they were connected. now we have these girls back since the information is out there we would like to get her picture out. if any one has anything please call us. >> that family hoping for a miracle. the dejesus family their prayers were answered. they showed video of gina returning home. the family said they weren't ready to talk to journalists yet. they made one exception yesterday and we are going to show you that coming up at 5:30. back to you, heather. great work out there for us.

let's go live to ainsley she is in cleveland with an exclusive interview with someone in the house when gina first arrived. >> good morning heather and to you at home. the dejesus family there was ones of journalists outside of the girl's homes as they were arrivi arriving. every journalist in the crowd trying to get a first glimpse of one of the women trying to get inside to get that exclusive interview. the dejesus family said all they wanted was mrooprivacy. then they opened the door and let one local news reporter to come inside no camera no notebook just to come inside to talk to gina. we got a chance to talk to her as well. here is lydia. >> you have been looking for gina just like the family and community for so long. you got to see her. >> it was awesome. it was awesome.

i finally put a face to the missing poster. her hair was short because the pictures all have her with long hair. she was thinner than when she left. of course when she left she was 14. she is a woman now. >> she said to mom i don't understand spanish any more. before she was kidnapped she was bilingual. i i am braced her he embraced me back. i said you look nothing like your composite. she just chuckled she just laughed. she looks healthy and happy to be home. she is very close to her family. you can see that connection, the bond is there it never left. i have been working for nine years with this family. my colleague has been working with amanda berry. they are so inspiring amazing people good christian people. really a model for other people who lost their kids. i think what's really important that nancy keeps stressing this, she never gave up hope. she tells people all of the time

you shouldn't. i think we need to be like nancy and not give up hope. if you think it's true. go for it ignore everybody. do what united you have to do. >> they are all there. >> yes. i said your mom and dad have been looking for you since the day you left. she miled and nodded her head. >> it is easy to understand why that family has fallen so in love with that reporter. she is a special individual. she worked for a local station here and she got laid off because of some cuts. another station here hired her and now she is the weekend anchor and a reporter and stayed very close with that family. it's interesting this is all just come together and there's a happy ending to this story. back to you patti ann and heather. >> all right ainsley, thank you. mow to our other top story exclusive testimony from the three whistleblowers on the

administration cooperated with investigations into this matter and white house spokesman jay carney refuse republicans of trying to politicize a tragedy. >> other difference he said that was a matter of 17 to 18 days after our response to it that libya did not allow our fbi to get in there and investigate the scene. thank you so much, doug. >> thanks. >> now some of our headlines. new developments in the search for a michigan mom abducted from a gas station last month. police confirm jessica heeringa's blood was found at the scene of her disappearance. last week they released this surveillance video showing a van believed to be connected to her disappearance. investigators say they are rushing for more information about this case. >> there's wrought within the ranks, that tire warning from an air force commander leading his 17 officers losing their authority to control and launch nuclear missiles.
