to those storms. right around i 40 just to the east of oklahoma city. >> this is ainsley i was reading earlier mobile homes were collapsed on top of one another. we are looking at this video. it looks awful. i can't image these types of tornadoes coming toward you and what to do. you have to make a split decision to get to safety. what are you seeing there on the ground, a lot of devastation? >> not right now. it's dark we are driving through. we get heavy ponding because of some of the rain that came through here. the video i have seen is very significant. trarls are the worst possible place you can see when there are torn goes going through. hopefully most of the people are out of tthat area. the storms -- it's a big tornado song the meteorologists did an

excellent job forecasting this. they had helicopters there that's why we got so much good footage of the tornadoes live on the ground. the people of shawnee certainly had warning, and hopefully if they didn't have tv's on and such they had neighbors getting word to them. you can't stand up to it when the tornado goes through there. it was a very strong and large one. >> this is heather again. we were on the air when some of the initial tornadoes started touching down. even they it is known as tornado alley they knew what to do they had to do it quickly. one of the things with these tornadoes is they were rain wrapped. can you tell us why that would make it another dangerous? >> there is so much moisture in some of these storms you can get

we see images out of can stas. we are ta -- kansas. we are talking about a tornado in the same area. the same storm system a lot of cold front coming through. we have a lot of warm air that produces heavy rain with the storms. flash flooding is another concern in terms of hail damaging wind gusts and also tornadoes. the greatest risk for tornadoes today will include the state of oklahoma, north central parts of texas, parts of southwestern missouri, northwestern parts of arkansas. we are looking at again some of the same areas potentially seeing tornadic activity through out the day. anywhere from texas to parts of michigan and wisconsin could see severe weather strong to severe thunderstorms damaging winds large hail. tomorrow take a look at tuesday from texas up to parts of the great lakes again from the same slow moving storm system. eventually by wednesday the

drivers heading into connecticut and new york are being warned it will be a nightmare. >> there are 30,000 daily commuters whose trips will be disrupted because of this accident. if all of them were to get on the highway in single occupancy cars we would literally have a parking lot. >> track repairs could take all week. carpool or take a bus if you can. two members of the ultra elite hostage rescue team killed in a training exercise. the accident involved a helicopter but we don't know the exact details. it happened friday off the coast of virginia. the special agents are christopher laruri conditioned christopher shaw. >> it trains for highly risky

oklahoma. all of the family members are safe that's the most important thing we are hanging in there. >> that is the most important thing. >> you sound up beat this morning like you have a positive attitude. tell me what that was like when the tornado went through? what did you experience, what did you lose? >> my husband is an emergency director and has been. i trust his ability to judge the weather he kept saying i think it's going to miss us to the south. we were unloading the vehicle from being on our trip and i had just gone in the living room and sat down he said you know i think we are calling this too close we need to get out of here. i tried to get my pet, my cat and she ran from me. he said we don't have any men's left so we literally got in the pick up and drove south and saw it as it -- saw the tornado as it rolled into town. while we were up on the hill near our community my son and

his children drove up and ran to me crying. i said this is not a bad day, because you are here with me, grandma, that's a bad day if grandma had lost her baby that would be ta bad day. everything in that house is replaceable. nobody can take the memories. our lifetime there is still right where we need them in our hearts. we are going to be fine. >> mar lane gnaw you said you were heading south. you fretried to head away from . where were you going in were you going to a shelter? >> actually we didn't plan on even going to a shelter. we just needed to get out of the direct path of the tornado. we were just getting to safety. we actually pulled off to the side of the road on the top of the hill and looked back and we literally could see it. it looked like a great big monster lumbering across it.

>> midwest not in the clear. more tornadoes are ready to wreak havoc today. where are the storms heading next? >> this storm system is a slow mover. not only is it going to be tracking parts of the midwest. last week we saw devastating tornadoes if you remember the granbury area where it ripped through north parts of texas. more areas seeing damage from the storms are going to see it head up today. the greatest risk are those areas shaded in red. yesterday parts of north central texas southwestern parts of missouri and northwestern parts of arkansas. that's where we have the greatest chance to see tornadoes and damaging winds and large hail. you can see severe storms today and take a look at some. the storm system a slow mover texas up to the great lakes yet

>> ten minutes till the top of the hour. a fox news alert. a traffic nightmare expected this morning along the east coast with rail service shut down between connecticut and new york city. the trains not running after this. this major collision that happened on friday. our wnynw reporter is live from bridgeport, connecticut, with the latest. >> good morning. right here behind me there is a fleet of buses waiting to take commuters, roughly about 30,000 commuters are being affected by this. these buses will take those commuters to stanford. from stanford there will be many trains waiting to take them to new york city. about 700 people were on board the trains friday evening when one of the trains derailed outside of bridgeport. 72 people were sent to the hospital. nine remain hospitalized. investigators will be looking at the condition of the brakes, wheels and tracks to see if the signals were working properly. the derailment caused a violent crash that caused
