former commander-in-chief. >> i am harris falkner we begin in oklahoma a week after 76 tornadoes ripped through america's heartland. the powerful and deadly touching down in moore. a memorial going on right now for those affected by the disaster as the rest of the nation mourns right along with them. 24 people lost their lives 10 of them children. the twist hit an ef-5. it ripped an 18 mile long corridor of destruction through the oklahoma city suburb flattening blocks entire blocks homes two schools and a hospital. 177 people injured 12,000 homes damaged in the storm countless businesses. president obama touring one of the plaza tours elementary school where 7 of the children died. casey seigel, we have a look

moments ago inside the church. >> yeah, we did. i want to talk about that in a moment. first president obama's visit on the ground. the governor of oklahoma and a handful of teachers were along those president obama met with at the site of the former plaza toerers eleme-- towers elementa school. not much left of the school. 7 children died on monday as they were trapped inside. he also got a tour of a neighborhood badly damaged getting an up close and personal look at the destruction. he also stopped at the local fire station where he had a chance to shake hands of first responders and also pass along america's condolences to the family of those who lost their loved ones. >> we know moore is going to come back stronger from this tragedy. your mayor said you are already putting new streets in.

i want folks affected to know we will be with you every step of the way. >> i got to say his visit to moore today mixed reaction. residents thankful he was here bringing attention to this matter but we talked to residents earlier today that are a bit frustrated. presidential security is high when mr. obama is on the ground and you have secret service week. they could not even get into their neighborhoods to get some of their belongings and continue the salvage work that had to be done. no doubt a big day with president obama visiting. >> always an opportunity for governors affected to get face time as they have declared disaster areas as in the states of governor fallon. >> it is starting right now. we are going to take you live

tea party and patriots. they were looking for that. even now months after the irs says the practice has stopped some groups that apply for tax exempt status are still lookiwa for approval. lawmakers are expressing doubts over whether the justice department can impartially handle investigating itself. steve centanni says everyone agrees the irs improperly targeted where is the major agreement at this point? >> they can't decide where to go next. either way some republicans are suggesting this is a major turning point for the president. here is a taste of that argument from the sunday talk shows. >> there needs to be a speedy resolution p this mentdedled is in of losing his moral authority if we don't get to a resolution. >> this was abuse of power and has to be fully investigated.

>> cal's bay ar-- california's y area honoring the war heros over memorial weekend. this is the national cemetery decorated with more than 26,000 flags a well deserved sat llute those who served our nation in war time. the flags raised at each grave site with the help of several hundred boy scouts. while we show our gratitude to those who give our lives for hours we also put a spotlight on something that is affecting our veterans and men and women who are still serving. their medical struggle is an ordeal they often confront not only on the battle peelfield bue at home.
