of new england. in the far south in the state of west virginia. we are waking up to clean temperatures out here. many of you challenging records around here in the morning hours. we will keep an eye on that. a very chilly morning out here. we could be phoningsly looking at damage. there are already signs of them it is already late may. we have chilly temperatures talking about 30s across sections of new england and interior sections of the northeast. as far as the grienz unfortunately in parts of iowa we are seeing more heavy storms brewing at this hour. we are expecting it to continue as we head into tuesday and also into wednesday. some of the heavy rainfall will be potentially coming in the form of severe weather from texas up into the parts of the dakotas. we have a severe thunderstorm watch in iowa because the severe potential is currently in place. take a look at these high temperatures. finally better in new york city 74 for the high upper 80s in

thank you for serving our country. i know you were hit by several ied's and retired with two purple hearts. tell us about this organization red white and blue. >> team red white and blue helps returning veterans get involved with the community with physical social activity running groups triathlons cross fit anything that gets guys out and involved with our community. other veterans combat veterans and civilians and a support group to help us get through tough things they are going through. >> i know this organization began back in 2010. why the need for this organization. does the military not have something similar? >> the military does what it can do for us, but at the end of the day operational tempo meaning deployment cycles things like that continue. once guys get out it's difficult for us to relate to some of our

peers so this is a big need especially with the war in afghanistan winding down and more guys getting out. it is hard to get involved with your community. >> you another first hand. what was it like when you returned? >> it was tough and getting out. you feel like you lose your brotherhood. you are around guys who would die for you and you would do the same for them. you are released back to the wolves and lose the sense of brotherhood and that safety net and you are kind of just floating around. it's tough. very tough. >> how did the organization help you personally? >> it helped me get involved and get into triathlons and cross fit and things like that to get me out of my apartment and get me working out with other veterans up here in new york city. especially it was hard for me to
