just being investigated because he was good friends with the victim. but now all of this evidence, the house cleaning, destroying of the cell phone -- i don't know if you mentioned that -- destroying of the home surveillance system, all of that makes it seem as though he was somehow more connected or knew more than he originally told police about the murder of odon lloyd who was 27 years old. he's also being sued by another former friend of his named alexander bradley who was shot in the face, he says. things are not looking good for this tightened. >>brian: they were all together in a suburban. he was driving, but he did not own, we don't believe -- somebody better watch him. somebody big. he did not own it. they were all partying together evidently. when it was all said and done his body was found a half mile from his house. he seems to have been murdered execution-style reportedly. after that no one has seen him. yesterday he went to gillette stadium where there was no practice

3:09 am
you thought the n.s.a. whistle-blower thing couldn't get any bigger? th could actually make it bigger. we know of edward snowden, the guy who had been working at the n.s.a. and booz allen as well who now is in hong kong somewhere. now we're going to introduce you to another whistle-blower by the name of russell tyce. in 2005 he was the fellow who supplied "the new york times" with information regarding the fact that our federal government had a warrantless wiretapping system going on. >>alisyn: it was much bigger than we knew. here are sph-rt people that russell tice say were being watched by the administration back then at the time. the bush administration. he said they were after high-ranking military tkeurbls, members of congress, lawyers, state department officials, after judges, antiwar groups. they went after banking firms. they went after the red cross and other groups that do any business overseas. he said it was a dragnet.
3:10 am
now remember, all this time we thought that the n.s.a. would get a ping if you had a conversation with something overseas who was a suspect somehow or it was some sort of dubious country. as he describes it, it was a dragnet that basically administration officials were investigating anybody that they thought might be, i guess, guilty of something or suspicious or on the other side of them. >>brian: would you say went after is accurate or would you say looked into? rather than say we're going to target them they say -- >>steve: this guy's worry is the intel community had sway over what is going on in the nation. they've got the files of all these people. remember it was j. edgar hoover who kept big files on all of his political enemies. it is suggested in a movie but has it been documented? >>brian: i'm going with it. >>steve: apparently in
