more on that on the fox and friends show. we have to get to the weather. we have extreme weather to tell you about across the entire country. take a look at some of these high temperatures widespread upper 80s in chicago, minneapolis, rapid city widespread 90s including right here in new york city 91 degrees for the high temperature out there. 90s in florida across the state of texas and oklahoma. kansas city 91 degrees for that high temperature. the heat will be sparking up showers and thunderstorms some of those storms could produce severe weather across parts of the dakotas, nebraska, minnesota iowa and also western part of illinois. it will be damaging winds in excess of 60 miles an hour large hail even isolated torn cos. keep that in mind if you live out here in the midwest. we have the risk to see warnings issued. earlier in the show you

yesterday touching down at an airport there and soon may be departing again this morning. from the height whous an urgency to hold snowden there. here's what the white house said overnight we expect the russian government to look at all options available to expel mr. snowden back to the u.s. his dramatic journey may have to do more with dicey international relations than surveillance. snowden's extradition was incomplete and the government would not cooperate. president obama's frosty relationship with vladimir putin on full display in ireland may complicated efforts to get cooperation on that end.

people in jail especially on something like this which is going to be a long period of time. however here the victim is a boy. not over 18 years old. he's a very young person. there are mothers on the jury who may be able to relate to that little boy. they don't want someone who killed him walking free. i would almost say it is a tie in terms of who it really benefits. we're being so prejudice by saying it's a woman. >> the other thing i wondered is does this open up the floor for someone to come back after a decision is made to say it wasn't a jury of their peers? >> probably not. they spent ten days or so selecting this jury and they went to painstaking measures to make sure they had a fair and impartial jury. >> opening statements begin today. what do you expect to hear from both sides? >> i expect to hear the word "objection" a lot because i think both sides are going to attack the other side's story.

the prosecutor's going to say their theme has to be if george zimmerman did not leave his truck. if george zimmerman listened to the 911 operator to don't follow, ladies and gentlemen none of us would be here, trayvon martin would be in school. mr. zimmerman would have a perfect life and everything would be okay. but for zimmerman starting all of this and pursuing, they're going to try to put in a little bit of racism, a little bit of want to be cop in there. the defense is going to focus on the 30 seconds, the 20 seconds when this happened. if george zimmerman didn't pull out his gun, trayvon martin would be sitting here accused of murder because he would have killed him by banging his head repeatedly on the sidewalk and punching him in the face. >> we've seen the pictures, heard the 911 phone call
