or wont shred the second amendment and pass feel good lame administration and others say it is because they oppose obama care and they didn't stop sequestration by giving in to the spin of palosa. and republicans may have lost their way, but it is not because they moved to the left to become nothing more than a calorie free version of democrats, but they forgot to respect and reach out to the people and really make the country work. by the way, it is not the guys in the expensive suits in the corner office with a great view. my wife and i were in boston and went to fenway and america's greatest baseball park and 101 years old and may not be fancy as the newer ones, but it has class and a shrine to america's past time. i took photos to people who was important to the experience as

the athletes that get paid millions to be on the field. these guys carry heavy things up and down the stairs for hours. they are on the feet for the entire time and work hard for their money and most people it is a distraction or obstruction to seeing the game. i see those guys and i see what makes america great. people working hard and sweating to earn a living and so one day they can sit in those seats rather than just hall hot dogs and peanuts and beverages up to them. people who lay brick have a gift. i value people who work with their hands and do things they can't do. i can't fix a water faucet or wire a house or fix a car or air-conditioner. people who can are valuable. i never played golf and i have much appreciation for the people who tend to the grounds as those who drive the carts. republicans need to attract people from the byes and girls

clubs and need to community why big government and high taxes. and they need to explain why educational choice gives the children of working single moms the same opportunities as the kids going to the finest private schools. they need to explain why failed energy policies of the democrats are costing them in the gas pump and electric bills. i grew up having more in common with the people work nothing the kitchen than those sit negligent head table. to be honest with you. i had to learn how to sit at the head table. i knew how to clean up when the banquet was over. explain to the wait staff at the gop fundraiser, you will not have to worry about the people who paid $10,000 a ticket. don't bedrudge those who get food stamps and bail out

there were tough things? >> life isn't always pretty for everybody. fortunately i feel in my heart that i've had an incredible life. i really do. even though there were some moments that were not good. the two men i married, i would have married over again. i talk a lot about jack in the book and problems i had with him. i never would have done it any other way. >> mike: talking about jack cassidy? >> father of my sons, david, sean, patrick and ryan and 12 grandchildren now. you say as you look back was it the greatest moment, was it the oscar? >> the reason was so wonderful winning the oscar, being a singer, people didn't think of you as an actress. they stopped making musicals. my career was over at that time. and had that not come along i would not have had the career because after winning the award i did 20 other motion pictures and many other things. i don't think i would have been able to do that had that not happened. burt lancaster is the reason it happened. >> mike: not bad to have him on your side. he is on the side of the audience he has brought books for every person here.
