lightening. the possibility of more lightening strikes is in the forecast as we head into today, tomorrow and even in the next several days at the end of the workweek. across the southeast over the next several days we are getting drenched with heavy rain and temperatures it has been cool because of a boundary out here 3-5 inches of additional rainfall in some areas. flooding is a big concern. on saturday only high temperature of 66 degrees. very cool out here. we have a number of watches in effect across georgia and the panhandle. the ground already saturated with heavy rain. otherwise ainsley and heather we have been talking about how cool it is in the midwest. very fall like. but we are expecting a big pattern shift temperatures going to be feeling more like summer. take a look already today 93 rapid city upper 80s in new york city. >> we were wondering if summer was going to come back. >> it was teasing us as if there

upper 80s across sections of idaho low humidity and also gusty winds. that's 30-30 miles per hour. all of these ingredients don't help combat the wildfire. not just across idaho but across sections of oregon. we have a number of wildfires burning as well. widespread fire weather watches and red flag warnings are in effect. another thing to consider out here is we have a threat for isolated thunderstorms over the next several days. we could see lightening from some of these. that could potentially spark up new wildfires. we will keep an eye on that. over the southeastern u.s. over the next several days are being drenched with a lot of rain. some of you over the past four-days have picked up over a foot of rain. 3-5 more inches possible locally on the spot especially in those areas shaded in red some parts of georgia south carolina and up at north carolina. still looking at additional

>> people walking the streets of new york city. how is this for your tax dollars at work. food stamp fraud is on the rise. more americans are selling them for cash. for more let's turn to diane macedo from fox business network. good morning, diane. >> hi ainsley. the percentage of americans selling their food stamps back to storage for cash has increased by 30 percent over the past several years. that's according to a new agriculture study which compares the periods from 2006 to 2008 to 2009 and 2011. they did all of that through under cover investigations and research through electronic

investigations. it is primarily due to the increase of small and medium size retarryls for the assistance program. the study found these stores accounted for about 15 percent of all redemptions but 85 percent of trafficking redemptions where stores buy food stamps often at a discount. overall 10.5 percent of authorized stores engaged in trafficking up from 8.2 percent in the previous review. the total amount has risen significantly. $858 million compared to the 330 million annually in a 2006 to 2008 period. on the upside the agriculture department says trafficking is still down compared to the 90s. they still have one of the lowest fraud rates of any federal program. >> at the bottom of the screen it says oh snap. >> hello.

they believe he was guilty of the murder of reeva steenkamp. they outline what they believe happened. they believe the two of them had a relationship. there were only two of them in the house at the time. reeva who was 29 at the time locked herself into a cubicle. the accused armed with a pistol and shot through the locked door, five straight. four shots at the deceased. the deceased was wounded and died at the scene. cause of death multiple gunshot wound along with 107 witnesses that they outline in this indictment which they may call. they also said they believe that the accused thought she was an intruder. even then accused shots with direct intention to kill a person this was they were going to argue whoever was behind that door, pistorius intended to kill that person.
