the problem we have is that over the last four years billions of dollars have been spent misinforming people about what this law is about. all of the horror stories have not come true. it is going to be a good deal and we expect that once it is fully implemented a year from now, two years from now, five years from now, people will look back and say what was the argument about? >> if we could just only understand him properly and when is he going to get the nobel health care prize? do they make that? i'm sure he thinks he deserves it. why won't he listen? >> he is king of the universe. he thinks he is king of the universe. he didn't like it, but used to like it when it was a bill trying to become a law he loved it. they spent a lot of money making sure people would vote for it and support people who voted for. it now he doesn't like it. i think it is interesting that president obama is trying to sell this this way that it is

working. it is not working by any metric. the cost is double $890 billion was the original cost and now it is $1.8 trillion and we haven't even implemented. premiums are up you at least as fast as they were prior to the health care law bill turning into a law. there is no metric you can say say -- numeric metric that you can say it is working. it is not working. now doctors say we are not taking obamacare. what is working? >> why is it a good thing? why should people buy into it, katie? >> they shouldn't and they are not. that's why they have been panicking about young people not signing up for this. doctors and lawyers are leaving the health care industry. health care providers in the state of maryland have left the state. and it is funny that president obama would say people have spent millions of dollars to talk about the bad things in obamacare. people are simply reading the bill now. the more they find out about it, they don't like it.

it is not about people telling them and giving them propaganda telling them it is bad. it is people, individuals, moms, dads, teenagers, children, seeing the affects in their home budget and health care when it comes to obamacare and the affects on them. they don't need to have somebody tell them. they feel it in their lives at home. >> it seems like the more people find out about it, the more they are protesting and understanding it. maybe like nancy pelosi said we have to read it and find out what is in it. >> everybody is playing catch up which is the scary nature of the debate. we listened to the media for years about this bill and how great it was. now you listen to the people who are dealing with it are the doctors. to them obamacare is a fatal disease, hazardous to your health and it cuts a decade off your life. nobody in the medical industry sees this as a good thing. you can look at the numbers of

the numbers are boring, but if they make you nervous, then they are ignored to the suffering of others. last night 13 people were shot in a chicago park including a 3-year-old boy hit in the head. this is not rare.

this is not rare there. the same people who scream about gun control after a horrible mass shooting are awol in these cases. both atrocities suck, but one gets a spotlight and the other crickets. there are way more victims of daily gang shootings, but they are forgotten by the media and political classes because it is easier to condemn a phantom rifle than gangs where you escape truths about besieged communities plagued by thuggry and coward december. by ignoring the numbers in new york we become sitting ducks, targets at a fairground that is anything but fair. is it a coincidence that since the stop and frisk law was ruled unconstitutional in new york, shootings rose 13% as the gun seizures dropped 17%? weird. perhaps the police reduced frisking for fear of legal hassles that em bolden criminals to pack the heat. look at the communities where the stop and frisk is used.

ending stop and frisk is a racist dream. meanwhile new york has appointed professors to review police behavior. i doubt they see the numbers, and it is doubtful anyone willisen if there is no microphone nearby to boost a career, why bother? >> i like it. >> speaking of microphones this is a press conference, the super inen it dent of chicago police talking about it last night. >> based on bough mystics evidence at the scene and information and intelligence from the scene we believe the weapon used was an assault-style rifle with a high capacity magazine. based on evidence this appears to be a gang-related shooting. that by no means justifies or lessens the seriousness or the nature of this particular event. >> this is an interesting

statistic. they call chicago the murder capital of the world. they have had 500 murders and compared to new york's 419. new york is three times the size. they would have to have a thousand more murders. >> it is another way of saying the murder rate is triple the new york murder rate. the police chief said it is an assault-style whip they believe and the gangs have them. the gangs have the assault weapons and they want to take the people who want to defend themselves from the high powered weapon. >> it is illegal to have an assault rifle. >> the stop and frisk hasn't gone away. the cops can still stop and frisk, but they have a different standard to adhere to when they make the stops. it has only been a month. it may be a statistical error. >> i think it is significant

enough to take note and i am not surprised. if i had to bet my last dollar the numbers with going to continue to rise. >> don't bet your last dollar. >> i am going with it. having participated in the law enforcement investigations, the criminals, the perpetrators know. they pay attention and it is to the point new york corrects itself. >> if you ban stop and frisk the police is strictly there to wait until after a crime is committed which is what you see in chicago and in detroit. >> can we put this a little in perspective? in chicago there has been a seven-year gang war over territories of the these things are gang-related and the assault weapons are illegal, but it is not like new york where you have gangs fighting over drug territory. it is like a war. i want to give the chicago police a lot of credit. they did the best they could, but they are fighting gangs

members who are highly profitable. you have a difficult time doing something with that. >> the problem with that is, look, the police have been there and they tried everything they can. you have had a couple people come in and talk about why gangs are bad. unless people can help themselves they are never getting out of it. the gang war will never end unless you can allow them to protect themselves and fight back. it won't happen with the gun control they have. here is a staw staw ties stick. statistic. african-americans between 15 to 20, the primary cause of death is by gunfire. the majority occur in chicago. it is gang-related, but it also has to do with the idea where seeking a prosecution chicago is dead last when it comes to prosecuting gun crimes. guess what that does? let me finish. when criminals are not prosecuted for gun crimes they don't get input into the background check system that

>> all right, well do republicans actually want to star of -- stave kids and old people and our military? she wants to cut food stamps by $39 billion over 10 years. shameful house republicans just voted to take food out of the mouths of millions of american children, seniors, veterans and military families. so let's take a look at some of the numbers here. in the past 10 years since 2003, participation in the food stamp program has more than doubled. in terms of the cost it has more than tripled in the past 10 years. this would prevent lottery winners winners and college kids from collecting food stamp benefits and allow states to drug test people applying and people receiving food stamp benefits and this is my favorite one, would prevent convicted violent

rapists and murderers for apply forget food stamp benefits. do you think people who won the lottery should be eligible? >> obama would be -- this is another problem with obama. you just can't have this. you can't have a guy that is going to be president of the united states and will see food stamps come out and all of the corruption. let me just put it this way. one thing i will say. they are cutting food for kids and for active duty personnel in the military and that's all you need to know about republicans. it smells like republican and looks like republican and it is republican. they have never seen a program. >> can you just point something out. in the last five years, the food stamp program is doubled. forget the number in 10 years. five years it is double. what the republicans are proposing is $40 billion over 10 years. that's $4 billion a year. we spend $100 billion -- it is a 4% cut back from the high

number. five years ago it was way down here. it cuts a little off the top so people can't by porn and liquor. >> that's what they do, the old people go out and buy porn and liquor. >> on a serious note there is a lot of fraud in the food stamp program. so, greg, don't you think it is good to take a look at the cost of the fraud and get rid of it through the basic criteria in the bill? >> wherever there is government there is fraud because it is not the government's money. it is our money. they don't look at it as anything to watch over. if it was their money they would feel differently. i want to go back to the central theme which is demonization of the government. it appeals to the child intau elect of liberals. it is like a drug dealer tells a kid, don't listen to your mother and father. they are mean. hang out with me. have some stuff. smoke this.

that is what liberals do. they tell you that anybody that has some kind of authorize tear yen belief is evil and somebody that gives you something is good. it influences society and it gets people hooked on free things for life. >> but the problem is that the liberals are very good at messaging and convincing them that republicans are evil and they want to hurt old people and children and they want to take away your food stamps. i am all for rooting out corruption and abuse. and there is a lot of abuse. there is room for improvement here and to make sure we take lean cuts that make sense. ultimately i feel the middle class will be the beneficiary of that. >> i am willing to look at all of the budgets. >> okay, fine. if we impeach obama we wouldn't have these problems. >> the problem with the over spending and the fraud and not looking at things like the $40 billion when you over spend you don't have money for emergencies and you don't have money to help the middle class and the poor people who need
