for you. welcome to "hannity." tonight we are following two developing stories. day three of the obama/reid government shutdown and the democrats are refusing to talk with republicans and negotiate an outcome. i will be joined by mike lee. ann coulter joins us tonight. today is day three of the obama care roll out. this administration had years to figure this out. but still the imple men tags has been nothing short of a mess and a failure. to prove this, we have now tasked our very own ainsley errhart. she's been there and she'll try

president is. we want them to think better of us. he said that at the memorial for gabrielle giffords. not the memorial but for the other people after the tucson shooting. >> he did. civility is a great thing. we need more of it in government. apparently civil uh ti to them means to agree with us. do what we demand. by the way, if you don't we'll call you an anarchist, an arsonist, terrorist and every other bad ist there is in the book. people responsible for the statements should be ashamed because they are so utterly inconsistent with the manner in which they are behaving. >> let me go to harry reid. the house has funded the national parks, d.c. and america's veterans and the v.a. and the nih and our national guard. they are passing all the bills to keep government running. the president says he'll veto

you are willing to fund everything we won't allow you to fund everything. unless you fund obama care we won't let you fund benefits for veterans. that's pretty twisted and wrong. the american people are tired of this collusive spending when members of congress will hit the re set button every year, keep the spending intact and not question anything. that's what we have to fight, stop. that's what this is about. it presents us with an opportunity to re-examine the way we spend money in washington. >> how does the president explain this that he won't even negotiate? it's his way or the uh highway. look, i have often said this president's arrogant. that's the height of arrogance, isn't it? isn't that the way things work in washington? >> yes. it's the height of arrogance and hypocrisy.

it's only republicans that have acted several times now to keep the government running. only governments that acted first to prevent and now undo a government shutdown. we have acted again and again with noble leadership from speaker boehner and majority leader cantor and others in the house of representatives who acted time and again to fund government. unless you vote to fund everything including obama care they won't let us fund at current levels. the president is taking a position where he won't negotiate. i'm convinced he wants to bring the issues together. the president is talking down the markets which i have never

don't want to defund. the republicans want to repeal for once and for all. so defund was throttling back. republicans offered to fund everything the democrats wanted including a pile of stuff they didn't want in return for putting an end to this monstrosity. they were compromising. the democrats and the president have offered nothing. this is the interesting number here. in the media coverage, 21 stories blaming republicans, not one story blaming the democrats. do you know what's more interesting? go back to 1995 and you will find the same networks, 23 times they blamed the republicans. not once did they blame democrats. >> predictable. let's go to the rhetoric out there. republicans have been called terrorists, this is jihad, they are strap thing bombs on themselves, extortionists, anarchists and the list goes on. of course it's the extreme right wing and they are the most

dangerous force since joseph mccarthy. watch the main stream media take sides. >> the real irony here is unless the grid lock is broken health care, which republicans want to stop, will be funded while other parts of the government will shut down. exactly the on oh sit of what the ultra conservatives wanted. >> the extreme right wing of the republican party has taken that party hostage. >> it is incredible to me to watch republicans put on their suicide vests and think this is going to have some kind of outcome for america. >> eric cantor and his republican party are the most dangerous demagogic force in american politics since joe mccarthy. >> first it was defund. then delay. these are the offers. then it was just get rid of special exemptions. then let's talk about it. no, no, no, no. it's all the republicans fault?

these guys -- >> two points here, sean. you heard all these insults. look at a cnn poll. 56% of the american public do not want this. therefore, 56% of the public was just insulted as being a right wing fringe. that's not important. what's important is what does it tell you about the so-called news media? they believe 56% of the public are suicide vests. >> the morning liberal at nbc, even on his show they talk about it. the white house assumes the press will put the blame on republicans. it's like they are counting on the media. their biggest contributors. watch this. >> here's what the white house and to some extent the hill will monitor. one is how the press covers the shutdown and does it just go back into 1990s mode of saying obstructionist republicans are causing a shutdown and real people are hurting. assuming that will happen.
9:52 pm
>> of course they assume that's the way it will happen. they are in their back pocket. at least it was honest. >> here's the dirty little secret . conservatives believe the media bias are biased. if you ask them they will say, oh, no, we're not biased. >> yeah . let's go to nbc. we have to stay on nbc. they are the obama love network. martin bashir, the guy infamous for interviewing michael jackson who tucks little boys in with cookies and milk and it's charming. do you remember the interview? same guy. he slams reince priebus as preferring war memorials to living children. this is after harry reid's comments. why would i help one kid with cancer? watch this. >> the rnc chair reince priebus arrived with urgent word that the republican national committee will pay to keep the world war ii memorial open for a
