fox urgent. we begin tonight with what was until moments ago a day five for massive search for two killers released from prison because of a huge mistake. law enforcement officers caught them in a florida motel. apparently the only reason anybody anyhow they were free because one of the victim's families alerted police in florida that the person who killed their lived one was let go. the system generates a e-mail or cell phone call to let victims know when convicts are set free. a lot of questions for the

florida corrections. but big news. joseph jenkins and charles walker were captured. wee go to the fox newsroom. brian is on the story. >> reporter: they used sophisticated documents which had police believing that the men had outside help. they had fake signatures and judge perry who preside over the casy thee though and cited case law and fake release orders went through the county clerk and florida department of corrections. both used these documents to walk out of the institution in the florida pandhandle. jenkins left and followed by walker ten days later. they showed up three days after the releases where they were

finger printed and registered as felons. police had no idea about the mistake until tuesday. at the press conference today a lawyer for the walker family said his mother got a call enforming of the walker release and called back to the prison twice to verify. walker spent time for a woke after the release and appeared in public places including the church. jefrngin's family travelled hours to pick up and he was a no show in his own birthday party. the families made no attempts to hide them. there was a $10,000 reward. both men were considered dangerous. they were caught in a motel in

walked out freely with forged documents. they committed murders in the orlando area and had orange county police searching last five days for the men in that area. now panama tea is 350 miles away from orlando and 100 miles from the prison. they were closer to the prison they left than home ands families. earlier today the jenkins and walker family pleaded for them to come home and turn themselves in. both families spent time with the inmates when they escaped from prison with the forged documents. >> i have read the background and they have been gone for a while. they started the search five days ago. but one of them has been out since september 27th? >> joseph jenkins was out september 27th and walker left
