account first. >> well, that's the point. i can't get online to create the account so how would i be able to create an account if it's down for the next 42 hours? >> you would have to wait until the 42 hours. >> did you create an account yourself? >> no, sir, i have mine through my employer. >> how come people are having so much trouble? >> we have a glitch in the system. >> did they tell what you to say? >> we have a script for that. >> 15 million of you don't have to call in because we've got all the help right here. and we'll get the script read to us immediately. >> are you ready? >> yeah, read the script. let's hear. >> it's saying thanks for your interest in the health insurance marketplace, we are having a lot

of visitors trying to use our web site right now in is causing some glitches for some people trying to create an account or log in. keep trying and thanks for your patience. you might have better success during off-peak hours, later at night or early in the morning. we'll continue working to improve the site so you can get covered. that's it. >> so you went through a week worth of training to learn how to do that? you know they spent $634 million to get that web site up and going and they can't get it going right? what do you think of that? >> oh, my gosh. i don't know what to say. i did not know that. >> they're telling you to tell us to check back in on the web site and off hours. does that mean i should go on at 3:00 in the morning? >> it was saying early in the morning and late at night but some people say they do that and they still can't get in. >> so people are reporting to you the real deal? >> yes, sir, they are. >> yeah. have you ever caught anybody that really likes it yet?

>> no, not really. >> oh, you're cracking me up. >> joining me now with reaction, it's fine but it's sad, kentucky senator rand paul. i mean, the woman was very nice, by the way. she was being very honest and nobody likes it and all they're doing in the calls is sending you back to the web site that's not working. you can't make this up, senator. >> you know, it doesn't surprise me. i've dealt with government for over 20 years in the practice of medicine. if we have a question we want to ask medicare, it can sometimes take an hour. the people in my office would get on speed dial and just keep dialing over and over and then they'll only answer two questions. so the government is just not very efficient at handling this. that's why it's a big danger turning a sixth of your economy, our health care is a sixth of our economy, turning all that over to government in one fell swoop. i think the glitches are going

to last quite a while. >> the other thing is, i was on the air today, we made another call-in. first we got hung up on. then i made another call, got put on hold, played nice music and then got to a supervisor and the supervisor said "shut him down, shut him down," that's what the phone line did today. >> i don't think this is going to resolve itself soon. the big thing people will discover, if you mandate what is included in your insurance policy, it has to cover all kinds of new things that haven't been covered, it has to be more expensive. there's no way it can be cheaper. it has to be more expensive if you mandate what it includes. >> we're going to put up the heritage foundation study, state by state what the premiums are going to increase, forbes

magazine says 92% for men, 68% for women. if that's the case, why did we do this when the president said that would not be the case? >> see, i think you've always had two competing problems in health care. one is access, people didn't have insurance, and the other is cost. i think they are really going after the access. they're trying to give everybody insurance, but they ignored the cost of the insurance. in my 20 years of practicing medicine, the biggest complaint i got from people who paid for their own insurance or who were employed or who were employers was the cost of insurance. i think this reform has done nothing, in fact i think it will elevate the cost of your insurance. >> they've put together these propaganda ads. they can't just be honest about it so they get young people, this is the greatest thing ever. we'll run them during the show tonight. here's one of them.

>> i couldn't wait for the health insurance marketplace to open. i knew my husband and i were going to save money. we've been spending a fortune on health insurance each month. the site was very easy to use and the customer service representatives were patient and helpful. the plan i picked will save us hundreds of dollars each month. it has better coverage, lower deductibles and lower co-pays. i couldn't be happier that my family and i are covered. >> you can be covered, too. >> they're telling us something -- that to me is like old former soviet union propaganda. doesn't it sound like it to you? >> the thing about it is if it's so good and it's free and it's going to be so easy to get on the web site, why do they have to advertise to get you to do it? why do they have to go door to door to convince people that obama care is so great. why do we have to convince

people to buy it? i think they're deathly afraid that young healthy people are going to look at this and say this isn't better than what i've got currently and may be more expensive than what i've got currently. >> the laws and burdens, we place on we the people, they must apply to them as well. what a great idea. >> martin luther king wrote from a letter in a birmingham jail said a just law is a law that applies to everyone, has to be binding on everyone. if you exclude a group, that's an unjust law. there have been a lot of times in our history, originally congressional members were exempt from social security. that's not true now because people got mad about it. but really the law should be applied equally to everyone. i think that's a basic precept of the law. i think maybe we'll get some

bipartisanship on this and maybe we'll get it passed. >> this is the president, jay carney, kathleen sebelius, who i think should be fired. this is them in denial about how bad this is. listen to them. i want to you respond to them. >> it's not failing. hundreds of thousands of americans are submitting their applications successfully to get into the system and enroll obama care. >> all this person has to do is fill in their name and the computer's like what are you doing to me? why is it so hard? >> it's better today than it was yesterday and it will keep getting better. >> all tolled, more than half a million consumers across the country have successfully submitted applications through federal and state marketplaces. while the web site will ultimately be the easiest way to buy insurance through the marketplace, it isn't the only way pip wa way. i want to emphasize this. even as we're redoubling our efforts to get the site workings

as it's supposed to, we're redoubling our efforts that you can buy plans the old fashioned way, off line. >> here's the president, saying it's as easy as buying a tv on amazon. >> just visit healthcare.com, and you can compare plans side by side, the same way as you'd pie a tv on amazon. you'll be presented with a list with clear descriptions of what each plan covers and what it costs. you'll find more choices and competition and in many cases lower prices. most americans will find they can get covered for $100 or less. >> it's all not true. >> the thing is about this, sean, is this is a fundamental misunderstanding. liberals have no idea how capitalism works.

and welcome back to "hannity." in yet another stunning example of the administration's arrogance and mismanagement, according to a report in "the washington post," days before the launch of president obama'sline health insurance and marketplace, government officials and contractors tested a key part of the web site to see if it could handle tens of thousands of consumers at the same time.

it crashed after a simulation in which just a few hundred people tried to log on at the same time. quote, about a month before the exchange opened, this testing group urged agency officials not to launch it nationwide. take a look. >> i'm not familiar with the testing that was done. i would refer you to hhs for that. what i can tell you is that we are fully aware of the fact that even though it's getting better every day, the web site has not performed in the manner that we expected it to perform. we knew there would be glitches. we did not expect the volume and did not expect the kinds of problems that we have seen. that's why at the president's direction, we are addressing this problem 24/7. >> it seems like a big deal that days before the launch this test is done with hundreds of people and the system crashes. my question is was anyone at the white house informed of that? was the president informed of

that? >> i don't know any specific test. would i send to you hhs. >> i'm confused. is the hhs not part of the obama administration? because of all of this, the more the white house should delay the individual mandate immediately. frankly, we'd be best off without any of this. joining me to help try and sort through all the spin, the democratic strategist trying to heap upon you, our guests, three years, $26 million, a 12-year-old could build a better web site. >> i hardly doubt that. this is about demand. this is about the million who is came online trying to find health care. >> that's not true. >> and if anything they undershot just trying to test it -- >> they couldn't get 300 people on. >> they were saying coding was the issue, it had nothing to do with the traffic. look at all of these privately run web sites that somehow don't have these issues. now, you know, i think i'm going

to call barack obama the absentee president. everything that happens on his watch somehow isn't his problem. he didn't know what's going on with respect to benghazi. every issue, whether it's targeting conservative groups at the irs is how detached from him. >> let me ask you a question. if there's a private corporation, they spend $634 million and they failed this miserably, what would happen to the person responsible for that task? >> they'd get fired. >> let's talk about the private corporations who were in charge of health care. >> answer what would happen in the private sector if somebody had this big a debacle. >> the shareholders would get rid of them. >> so with why isn't sebelius fired? >> the free market failed us on insurance. 3 million people left uninsured. >> i don't want your spin.

why does she still have a job? if the private sector would fire somebody, why is she still working? >> i think the administration does need to go through. >> needs to what? i want to hear you say it. >> i at this he needs to go through and figure out where the fundamental breakdown is. >> she's in charge. >> i don't know where the buck stops with what happened with the web site. >> she should be fired. >> i think there needs to be some analysis around that. >> this drives me nuts. the worst part is they can't admit it. now they put out these little ads to make you think everything is so simple and so easy. watch this. >> my name is daniel. i'm going to college for computer science. i enrolled on a plan on healthcare.gov. i already had insurance answered want -- and i wanted to see if i could get a better plan and i did. because of my income as a

student, i only pay about $70 a month for it. getting insurance this good at this price, i'm thrilled. >> they're lying to us. >> people aren't stupid. people are actually trying to get on the web site and can't. they're looking at this and saying why are they insulting my intelligence? in the same way can you talk at obama care and see how much great it is. but when people look at their checkbooks and see costs have risen, they're not fooling people. they're a lot smarter than people give them credit floor. >> people are frustrated. the web site flaws are significant but they're not fat fatal. >> the liberals aren't giving up. >> the consumers aren't. >> we were told it was $900 billion.

it's three times that. you look at forbes, the average male is going up -- >> i would like to see those numbers. everything i've seen, particularly in a state like new york, we're cutting our rates 45, 50%. a lot of states have not bought into this at all, which is complicating the whole process. there's free money sitting on the table to help people get access to health care and their state legislatures won't buy into the program. >> there's no talking to you people in the left. >> all you're doing on the right -- >> it's the difference between listening to rhetoric and looking at the facts. you look at this web site and look at the glitches and i would like to ask barack obama if you were warned this site was not ready for primetime, why did you have release it? >> you want to know why?

administration. eric holder is the squeegee guy holding the brick. >> explain. >> there's a couple of things going on. first of all, literally there are companies being told they're subject to department of justice investigation, criminal and civil and literally those companies are solicited to donations to the obama campaign and now to obama political committees and there is statistical evidence in the book that literally you cut your chances of going to jail in half if you make a contribution. the other this evening is after 2010 mid-term elections where they had that stunning defeat in congress, they targeted the industries that financed the tea party candidates that got elected. that was the independent oil and gas sector, for example. they literally days after president obama made that famous statement "we're going to punish our political opponents," they sent out an industry sweep letter which said you are subject to criminal investigation and you better share and cooperate. it was a clear intimidation

tactic used. the top financers in 2012 were all subject to department of justice criminal charges. >> you're describing like a banana republic here. you're describing corruption at every level of government. >> the world bank and these are not anti-obama entities, they do a study every year on competitiveness of countries. since 2009 in both of these major studies, the united states has gone from being in the middle of the pack among advanced industrialized countries and perceived corruption to know in 2013 we are at the bottom of the pack, now seen as the most prone to corruption of any industrialized country notice world. that's how far it slipped and how quickly is slipped. >> the worst part is you're telling us in this book is the justice department is right in the middle of it.

>> they are. you have the top five positions at doj beginning with eric holder were all campaign bundlers for the obama campaign. so much you had fund-raisers raising money to put him into power who you now making decisions about who they're going to prosecute and who they're not going to prosecute. so you see this melding of the doj and the obama campaign. >> i want to make clear here, the book is right here, it's an excellent book and excellent reed, 600 footnotes. you really dotted your eyes and crossed your ts. >> this is not opinion, it's fact. supporters yesterday, florida congressman alan grayson included this picture with a burning cross for the "t" in tea party as you see here. it read, quote, "now you know what the "t" stands for. earlier today we reached out to the congressman's office for a response. we received a bizarre rambling diatribe from the congressman service about what unidentified tea members have allegedly said over the years. he say "there is overwhelming evidence that the tea party is the home of the bigotry and discrimination in america today." this comes only a few days after the liberal lawmaker said this -- >> they're appalled by the tea

party tactics where they come to the president and congress and say if you don't let us steal your car, we'll burn down your house. they're appalled by the way the treat party cheered down the shutting of the government and put our credit at risk and costing almost $24 billion. frankly, they want their money back and they want the tea party out of their lives. at this point, the tea party is no more popular than the klan. >> gentlemen, welcome to the program. nyjer, i'm a proud member of the tea party. i've been at rallies. most tea party people i know, they clean up after themselves. i've never heard any bigoted statements. there are people of all racial backgrounds in the tea party that i know and that you know. what's your reaction to that? >> i'm a leader within the tea

party movement and i'm a rock star in most places where the tea party operates and i come out to speak. there's no question about it. sean, you know this, for years i've been talking about this phenomenon called the al sharptonization of the democratic party, which ironically al sharpton doesn't even do anymore, but these guys are into racial demagoguery and to the the most coarse race baiting possible and i want your views to go to my web site and sign the petition to end race baiting racism because it is racism, end it now. >> what do you think, richard fowler? are you going to stand by what members of your party are saying? >> i think there are a lot of people who have called the tea party names over the past couple weeks, including former lily onf their own, john mccain.

establishment republicans helping to do that. i understand richard is trying to distract from the fact that we are $17 trillion in debt, that there are nearly 50 million americans on food stamps, that women employment is the lowest in 24 years, and this is after seven years of a democrat-controlled senate, after five years of a democrat presidency. and check this out, richard. i'd like you to comment on this. in a poll last summer, democrats believe -- democrats -- believe the american dream is dead. so with those types of abysmal statistics under democratic leadership and a neolism that exists among democrats, i don't blame you, richard, for trying to make the tea party the issue. >> wait a second. the reason why the american dream is in peril has to do with the fact that this republican

party trampled on women's rights and refused to pass the violence against women's act, not renewing the voting rights act. >> the reason the economy is not doing well is because republicans have trampled on the rights of women. is that what you're saying? that is dumb. that is ridiculous. >> i'm going off the point he made that he said the american dream is dead. >> i didn't say that. democrats are saying that, richard. >> that's not true. >> john boehner and members of the house can't get the work done. >> let me go back to the rhetoric. the president says the republicans want dirty air and dirty water and they want to throw granny over the cliff and we see all those ads. the president also lectures on discourse in this country. and i ask you a simple country about alan grayson calling tea party members -- comparing them to the klan and you don't have the moral strength and fortitude to say that's just
