red flags over piracy. the vessel the sea retriever attacked by pirates off the coast of nigeria. the vessel and most of the crew are released unharmed but the pirate kidnapped two men the ship's captain and another. >> our concern is safe return of the u.s. citizens chief of mission security at our missions in nigeria are kidnapping the kidnapping report. we believe it is an act of piracy. >> nigeria ordered naval forces to mount a rescue operation. most pirate activity in the area had been confined to the red sea off african's eastern coast off somalia. it has been an increasing problem off the west especially off the nigerian coast. they are aware of the growing danger and is working on a plan to make the waters safe. >> we are concerned about the

>> if you live downwind across parts of michigan and up state new york and pennsylvania you are seeing some of the lake-effect snow downwind of the great lakes. several inches have been piling up out here. it is a little early in the season to see significant snowfall. the snow is expected to continued to but begin to wind down as we head into the weekend. overall it is quiet. take a look at sections of the center of the country out west very quiet as well. just a little bit of rainfall across sections of the state. the northeast and great lakes you know it is supposed to get chilly this time of year even though it is below average but in the southeast look at some of the current windchill temperatures in atlanta feels like 35 degrees, 31 in nashville, feels like 30 in louisville. cold in sections of the southeast.
