8:00 pm
your day with ainsley and fox and friends each weekday morning at 5:00 a.m . thanks for joining us. we'll see you back here tomorrow night. "the o'reilly factor" is on tonight. >> good morning. it's wednesday, december 18th. two people just woke up filthy rich. >> megan millions lottery 636 million bucks has been won. what will happen to the folks who get the money? it's often very troubling. we'll have a special report. a "factor" investigation will tell you about hundreds of millions of dollars planned parenthood is getting from women who have abortions. is there a war on babies in america? also tonight, it's the christians turn to respond to some christmas controversies. and why the speaker of the house
8:01 pm
is so tan. >> they probably weren't there yesterday when i was out cutting my grass. >> caution. you are about to enter the no-spin shown. "factor" begins right now. hi, i'm bill o'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. do you want to be rich? that is a subject of this evening's talking points memo. the mega millions lottery has been won and there are two winners. one in georgia. one in california. and if they take lump sum payments, they each get close to $171 million before taxes. the feds will then take 39.6% of that. if the winner takes an annuity, they get 6.4 million for the next 30 years. if they die, their heirs get it and feds get 39.6. we have two new 1 percenters in
8:02 pm
america tonight. do you wish you were in that circumstance? here's what happens when a person is wealthy. first, he or she becomes a target. some folks want a piece of their money and will lie and cheat and steal to get it. so rich people have to hire lawyers. lots of lawyers because they will be sued, extorted and stolen from. that will happen. every person you deal with will consider your money. good folks will not let it influence how they treat you so pray you know good folks. take the case of 42-year-old abraham shakespeare who won 30 million in the florida lottery four years ago. by all accounts, abraham was a generous guy helping family and friends with his money. one year ago this woman, doris moore, was convicted of murdering mr. shakespeare, part of a scheme to get his money and
8:03 pm
then there's pedro of new jersey. he won 338 million in the powerball lottery worth about 152 million after taxes. presto. pedro's ex-girlfriend suing him for half. there are legions of lawyers lined up to bludgeon wealthy americans and corporations. they work for a piece of the action. they don't charge you up front. so ruthless people can hire them to try to extort money in civil court. if they lose, so what? every affluent person in america is in danger. every one. thus the two folks who have won the big money this week will see their lives instantly change and perhaps for the worst. their relationships will be different and they'll have to watch every move they make. every telephone call. every cell phone camera. everything they do. their freedom will be severely curtailed. the upside is financial security
8:04 pm
if they can find a trustworthy investment firm and freedom of movement to go where they please when they please and they won't have to struggle to provide a decent living for them and their families. right now the median income in usa is slightly more than $52,000. half of us earn more, half less. only 1% of the population is truly financially independent. yes, we are a rich nation but the cost of living well is out of sight. so congratulations to the mega winners and the best thing we can do for them is say a prayer. that's the memo. now, the top story tonight. how the federal government handles money as you may know there's a new budget that mandates the feds will spend more than $2 trillion over the next two years. because tax dollars will not cover that spending, the deficit each year will be more than $500
8:05 pm
million, which will be added to $17.3 trillion national debt. if that sounds like madness, it is. no question the feds spend money on dumb things. a few examples. almost $2 million will be spent on lifestyle coaching for folks who work for u.s. senators. almost $1 million taxpayer dollars will be spent on studying romance and 360,000 to study bed rest and 415,000 to study fine wine. we're not only going to study wine but we're sending it to chinese. why? so they'll like our wine. maybe they'll be drunk. we don't know. we're just sending it to them and $1 million to build a bus stop in arlington, virginia. i want to go to that bus stop when it's completed.
8:06 pm
this next one, this next one really got my attention. federal government is allocating $17.5 million in the form of tax breaks for legalized brothels in nevada. workers can deduct breast implants, costumes, and special equipment. this special treatment has been given because the brothels apparently help the local economy in nevada. joining us now from sparks, perhaps apply named, owner of the moonlight bunny ranch. >> hi, bill. >> all right, dennis. you have taken the 17.5 million. you don't get it all. you and your co-brothel people get it. do you understand why some taxpayers may feel this a frivolous waste of taxpayer money? >> i think this is tom coburn being a grandstander and media host to the tea party. what he's trying to do is attack
8:07 pm
the tax code by eliminating exemptions no different than if the avon lady couldn't write off makeup or gasoline to get to your house. >> coburn, by the way, is the senator from oklahoma who put out a lot of the stuff i just cited. i'm glad you cited him. if you were just a regular american lady and you had breast implants, you can't deduct them, okay? can't. it's your expense. your choice. you do it. in your establishment, even if they work for maybe three weeks, they can deduct it. you can see, dennis, because you're a smart guy, this could be a giant con on the american taxpayer. but let's put that aside for a moment. tell me what the benefit is of your business and others like it in nevada. what is the benefit there? >> job creator. bill, i have 150 employees and 600 working girl prostitutes in my seven brothels in nevada. we put a lot of money back into
8:08 pm
the economy and that's what it's about. this isn't the conservative way to eliminate deductions. >> okay. so you're putting money back into the economy. i think that's true. and you live in a rural part of the state where there's not a lot of other stuff going on except aliens landing and nuclear waste being buried. that's not a big expansive industry there. but you still should do it on your own, dennis. you're a entrepreneur. you're smart enough to have tapped into something that provides you a nice living. you don't need my living and you don't need everybody else's money, particularly those that object to what you do. you don't need it. if i were you, i would tell the irs we're not going to take those deductions. wouldn't that be good? >> that wouldn't be good at all. we need deductions. >> you're making plenty of money. you don't need them. >> so are you. >> i'm not putting deductions for breast implants on my tax return. i'm not.
8:09 pm
>> you're putting sticky buns that you and miller eat in the airport -- >> i'm not putting sticky buns on anything. you wouldn't believe -- i don't take hardly any of that. i don't. >> i'm glad to hear that. working girls and legal prostitution industry need deductions to -- >> they make plenty of money. >> what do you mean making plenty of money? we're making a living. >> you're making plenty of money, dennis, and you know it. guys pay a good buck and they're out of there in an hour. come on. it's a cash cow. >> where is coburn going to go after this? is he going to go after liquor because he doesn't like liquor or porn. he's grandstander and he needs to wake up. >> all right. next on the rundown, the war on babies in america. incredible information for you incredible information for you and then miller socializing and
8:10 pm
8:13 pm
impact segment tonight, is there a war on babies in america? to begin this report, we start with a premise that all americans must, must accept. when a woman undergoes an abortion, a baby will not be born. simple fact. the leading abortion provider in the usa is planned parenthood which would not provide information to us for this report. in a four-year period ending in 2012, planned parenthood provided 1,322,853 abortions. slightly less than half of all of the abortions performed in the usa. that's according to their annual results which are public. from those operations, planned parenthood derived between $100 and $300 million per year.
8:14 pm
we don't know exactly how much because the organization won't tell us. planned parenthood is a tax exempt organization so what they do is subsidize by the taxpayer. also, what they do with the money they get from the abortions isn't known but we do know that this tax exempt organization had close to $60 million leftover in the fiscal year 2012-'13. and in addition, 17 states used tax money to fund abortions through planned parenthood. federal money cannot go toward abortion. we listed the states involved on billo'reilly.com. this is a very profitable organization. it's having a profound effect on

the nation's population. joining us now from washington to analyze, powers, we'll begin with you. your impression of the statistics i just gave you. >> well, i mean, i'm going -- i'm pro life and i'm not a fan of planned parenthood doing abortions obviously. however, i do appreciate what planned parenthood does in other areas in terms of family planning and providing other services to women including birth control. i want to be fair to them in that sense. i think that they are not making money off of this as a lot of people say. even when you -- >> abortions they are. their making an enormous profit. the other things they don't make -- let's just be factual. the other things they don't make money on, abortions they do make money on. lots of money. >> there's a difference between

8:17 pm
an abortion provider. >> you are talking 17 states. federal money can't go for abortion. if can go to planned parenthood but they have to give it out. >> they can say they don't use it for abortion. you and i and everyone else watching this knows that some of that money goes to a pot and it goes out. what kirsten said about all of the other great things they do, a year ago, barack obama praised planned parenthood for providing mammograms. not a sing planned parenthood clinic provides mammograms. we know that. in their budget, dbig distinctions in their budget. they put tons of money into publicity, promotion, family planning. that's advocacy of abortion which the majority of american people do not believe in taxpayer subsidized abortions. they also don't agree with taxpayer subsidized propaganda
8:18 pm
promoting abortion. >> about less than 10% of the women that go in do adoptions. it's overwhelming abortion from planned parenthood. i think we can all agree that they're in business to provide that service. not adoptions. all right. they're providing abortions. whether you think it's for profit or not, i believe it is. you believe it isn't. the adoption thing should be much higher, should it not, if they are true family planners in a fair and balanced way? >> i always said planned parenthood should work with adoption agencies and do more. >> they don't, do they? >> no. they would say that -- >> i don't care what they would say. getting back to the facts. they don't work with adoption agencies, do they? >> right. also, you are looking at this as a person who sees what they're doing as being completely wrong, right? >> i'm not coming at it from a moral point of view.
8:19 pm
i'm coming at it from a fairness point of view. >> when you say there's a war on babies, it -- >> i said is there a war on babies? >> you're asking the question is there a war on babies. i would say that you have to bear in mind as much as you don't like it and disagree with it, there are a lot of people that don't think an abortion is killing a baby. now, i don't agree with that. i'm just saying that you have to understand -- >> i'm going to give you 30 seconds to wrap. that's why i said in the lead. we all agree having an abortion prevents birth of a baby. i didn't get into any of the semantics because that's what it always is. now i'm launching a war on women by presenting facts. there's no war on babies. there is a war on women. 30 seconds, kate. go. >> right. you're not allowed to criticized planned parenthood. it will be like susan g. komen foundation. this is a group that has fought

here is my best shot about gifts. my books are easy to get. folks seem to like them. if you purchase a premium membership on billoreilly.com you get any one of the books free. give the book or a membership as a gift. do the math, figure this out. it's a great deal, especially for last-minute shoppers. sam from phoenix, arizona. bill, krauthammer is wrong and you are right. more funding will not improve education. the key is what's happening in the home. that's not fair to charles. he's not throwing money at the problem. supporting vouchers that would allow the poor to choose a better school. i support that as well. mary beth from pennsylvania. i am a member of the teachers unionment and attempting to educate students in an urban setting. most of us work tirelessly. >> i know. there are union ohs in places like new york city that are corrupt. they taint the rest. richard from beverly, massachusetts.

i think what might bring you and stasel together on drugs is punishment. stoned driving and selling to minors should be punished severely. already legalizing marijuana is driving it as a nonviolent crime and nonviolent offenders rarely do tough time. nicholas from new hampshire. bill, you never mention what marijuana does to people. you just say it is wrong. i smoked pot and it made me stupid, lazy and forgetful. there are different effects as with with all drugs. but one fact t not in dispute, if a child smokes marijuana, his or her childhood is over. once you introduce intoxication to immature minds trouble always follows. the legalizers don't care. we'll have a segment on it tomorrow night. scott from dallas, texas. for years i have watched you peddle your books shamelessly.

nine years ago when some department stores ordered employees not to say "merry christmas." that was way over the pale. so we won that because we named the department stores and no one went shopping there. they said, oh, maybe we made a mistake. >> that was pretty much it. pretty much the discussion was with over. i hit them with an undeniable fact and the dissent floated away. factor tip of the day, lead with your best shot. first round knockouts are the best. that's it for us tonight. please check out the fox news factor website which is different from billoreilly.com. oh eyely@fox news.com. name and town if you wish to opine. word of the day, do not write to us under a temulent state. huh? excellent word. thanks for watching us tonight. ms. megyn is next. i am bill o'reilly. remember, the spin stops right
