up for this. significantly up from the numbers enrolled in november. does he feel good about today being the deadline. >> we were reporting over the week that he says a million have been able to sign up, which is good considering the problem with the rollout, the website started on october 1. but it does seem like fuzzy math because what about the near six million americans who have had their policies canceled because of this? >> check this out as well. the president is concerned about the rollout of obamacare. obviously he says that we've messed up in terms of healthcare.gov. but he is also concerned about the implementation of it overall in terms of today's deadline even releasing an e-mail on sunday to get more people involved. here's what he's saying in the e-mail. he says the law is working. if you don't have health insurance, go to the site right now and sign up. if you do, do it before december 23, which is today, you can be covered on the first day of the new

year. then he goes on to say -- quote -- "i'm asking you to spread the word about getting covered." so the president is clearly concerned about his message. he knows the messaging has been off. >> i think it's been off. he released all types of videos, all types of message campaigns, for people to do something we've been fighting about and debating about for the past two years. it's unpwhraoefb we got to this -- it's unbelievable we got to this point. on the sunday shows i'm watching robert gibbs again, his press secretary who has been with him since he was a state senator, jut flatout laid him out not just obamacare. listen. >> i would say this is the worse year of the presidency, does beat out 2011, especially given where he started, >> you have that, the i.r.s. scandal, fast and

furious, having the red line, pulling back on the red line, he was still the president of the united states when the lockout happened. we do not have a government that is working. they put up bike racks to block you from different memorials across the country, denying people access to yellowstone park. he did not have a marquee first year. >> especially when it is something that is typically the most productive year of the presidency, the first year of the second term. we also wondered when he answered that question, the way it came to him was from the mainstream media, from david gregory, he said this is the way the big progressive government is trying to solve a societal problem. then this is, and ends up being the worst year, supposed to be his signature piece of legislation. so what does that mean for the democratic party in the future and the ideology in general of big government coming from the liberals? >> here's what's happening. he's getting it from his own flank now.

the democrats are really up in arms about this and no one greater than senator joe manchin, the former governor of west virginia who has always been touting a more diplomatic, more bipartisan approach to this and this is what he's saying about it. >> 2014 will be a transitional year to find out where our glitches are and our little nuances we have to work for and find out if the market can produce the products we need to keep the u.s. healthy. it is so much more expensive than what we anticipated and if the coverage is not as good as what we had, you've got a complete meltdown at that time. this transitional year gives you a chance to adjust products to the market and see if the market will absorb and buy the product. >> what he's trying to say is he teamed with senator mark kirk on the right, a republican, and he said let's suspend the thing for an entire year because what happens is, whether you're a republican or democrat, a lot of believe you are

insured. many of you are not. when you go to pick up medication, go to the doctor, you're going to find that out on january 2, january 3, whenever you have to go. and that's what he's saying. if we can't have the back end done, if those million people the president says is accurate, you know a portion of those, they have already said these applications are coming in jumbled, so you're going to have a total meltdown if the deductibles and premiums are higher. it is the middle class that will take it in the solar plexis. >> "duck dynasty" phil robertson is breaking his silence. he decided to speak in front of a church group in louisiana. he had this to say. i'm a lover of men and women and went on to say i will not give or back off from my past. this is following the

>> hey [bleep]. >> oh my god! >> this almost doesn't look real. a friendly seal jumping on to the boat and on to the hunter's lap. the hunter posted the video on youtube and it's on viral since. you may have seen it floating around your office. the duck hunter joins us now with his once in a lifetime experience. good morning to you, jeremiah. thanks for being with us. >> good morning, guys. >> you're out there on cape cod and you're with your buddies. you've taken your friends out duck sea hunting. it's trying to get into your boat. give us a play-by-play. >> what it is is we're ocean state outfitters and we take people sea duck hunting out on the ocean. while we were out there running this particular hunt, the boat started moving abruptly. we were in what's called a layout boat. i said to my friend chip, why is the boat moving? a little seal was trying to come on the boat up the

front at first and then he kind of shied away. then the hunt proceeded. and then all of a sudden i looked to my right and here the little buger comes right over the side. you see in the video his head. his head is moving left and right, left and right. and that's him trying to kick up in the boat. once he got his nubs over the side, he fell right in the boat and started edging up my body and he was literally inches from my face and his whiskers were actually touching my noise. it was quite the experience. >> he was all up in your grill so to speak. were you scared at any moment? did you think he was going to hurt you? did you think sharks were in the water and he was trying to get away from them. what are you thinking at this point? >> to tell you the truth i'm thinking, wow, i hope he doesn't bite my face. that's what i was honestly thinking. while he was there and he was coming up, he wasn't aggressive or anything.

he was just sitting there doing what he does. but he did keep looking towards the water and looking back at us. i think he was purely inquisitive. i don't know if there was a shark in the water or not. that was probably the only two things that might have put him in the boat was sheer inquisitiveness or maybe a predator in the water. who really knows. but i just like to think he just wanted to come on board and see us. >> i'm no animal expert but those eyes look pure and sweet and in awe of you. you were able to pet him. what did he feel like? >> it felt like his fur or his coat was like wet cotton. when you touch cotton and it's wet it kind of squishes out. that is what it felt like. it was amazing. >> everybody was getting out their cell phones. what is everybody in the

swirl, thing like talking points, the administration has been working hard across the globe to review our security of our embassies and facilities. that's what we ought to be focused on. >> unbelievable. part of that is understanding who attacked you and what went wrong. a false controversy is a huge insult. it goes to show you the mind set within that administration. the video and the movie was an actual joke. as the papers came out, they knew that was not the truth. >> a lot of that information she did give unfortunately came from the administration from her own security team or the administration's security team, the c.i.a. admitting it gave those talking points as well. it's very problematic. but the question you guys were alluding to earlier, where was secretary of state hillary clinton at the time? why didn't she go on those sunday morning talk shows skwr here's what susan rice explained? >> she had just gone through an incredibly

stressful week. secretary clinton as our chief diplomat had to reach out to the families, had to greet the bodies upon their arrival at andrews air force base. if i were here, the last thing i would have wanted to do is five sunday morning talk shows. so i think it's perfectly understandable. >> then they asked you -- >> when the white house asked me, i agreed to do it. >> do you ever think, gee, wish i hadn't done that? if you hadn't done that, i'd be calling you madam secretary. >> you can call me susan. >> i think it's also important too that she was telling all those families that we're going to get the producer of that movie. that was what her message was to those families at that hangar which now we know she knew was not the truth, so she brought us to that same point. susan rice national security advisor, not secretary of state and john kerry is happy about that. meanwhile heather nauert is here with the news.

that's fine. one person who can give us all the details about some of the crazy, whacky weather going on throughout our country right now is maria molina. hey, maria. >> good morning. we had a pretty crazy weekend in terms of weather across the country. we have reported tornado in parts of the south. we had record high temperatures in parts of the northeast with central park in new york city recording a temperature of 71 degrees, 70 across portions of connecticut and down into parts of maryland. we are still tracking that storm system that produced that wild weather and we're seeing heavy rain falling across parts of georgia into the mid-atlantic and flooding is a concern out here. so there are a number of watches posted. farther north we have freezing rain coming down and it is kind of tough to see on the radar picture but ice filled morning are expected across parts of maine. some areas possible up to a half an inch of ice. that is pretty significant.

regulations issued by the federal government in 2013 alone. 77,000 pages of regulations. that's a lot. the small business owners that i know feel weighted down not only by the economy and the anxiety and the uncertainty but also by the problems coming from the affordable care act. so what do you do about it? >> i think one of the big things obviously is to give business owners and entrepreneurs a greater voice in the process. there definitely need to be more transparency and more openness in the process. a poll that we're giving releasing in january shows that 84% of the american public believe special interests have far too much sway over the regulatory process. the other important thing is that congress needs to be more accountable in regards to the regulatory system. you have regulators that really are creating laws right now. so congress does need to have more oversight. and we believe needs to approve some of the major

regulations that these -- that the regulators are considering or proposing. 3, 500 regulations passed, were finalized in 2013. another 4,000, kelly, are in the pipeline right now. so it really is out of control. and unfortunately, you know, we think the administration is going to be doubling down in this effort. john podesta has been brought in. >> i want to get to this question before i let you go. that's the fact that shouldn't more members of congress, including the president, be listening to some of the concerns expressed by small business owners since they pretty much are the backbone of generating jobs in this country? >> absolutely. look what happened with the affordable care act. you had small business owners specifically telling the administration and regulators what that meant for them and what would happen if parts of the

incredible pictures coming in to "fox & friends" this morning. it's a wing of a british airways plane loaded with nearly 200 passengers. the plane, not the wing. it slices through a building as it was taxiing down the runway getting ready for takeoff. this hopped at the johannesburg airport in south africa. as it turns out, that runway was just too narrow for the plane. no one was hurt. four airport employees inside that building were. they're expected to be okay. no one on the plane was hurt. "duck dynasty" star phil robertson break his silence. he's not backing down from his comments he made to gq magazine leading to the suspension from his a & e show. he led a daily mail reporter where he said quote, i will not give or back off from my path. he also said, i love all men and women. i'm a lover of humanity. not a hater. a & e suspending him over that gq interview. an outcry of support on facebook

causing cracker barrel to flip flop on a decision it made last week to remove "duck dynasty" products from its store shelves. on facebook, it said, quote, you told us we made a mistake and you weren't shy about it. you wrote, you called, and you took to social media to express your thoughts and feelings. you flat out told us we were wrong. we listened. "duck dynasty" brings more than 12 million viewers an episode. enormous. an executive sparked outrage is apologizing. she was fired just after tweeting this on a flight to south africa. gog africa. i hope i don't get aids. just kidding. i'm white. by the time she landed, she was fired from her high profile pr job. the disgraced execsives says, words cannot express how sorry i am and how necessary it is for me to apologize to the people of south africa who i offended.

optimistically. he says he has a million people signed up. they're working out their troubles. your reaction? >> you have 55 million people that lost their plan. so i don't know what a million people means. you have 55 million people that were very happy with their insurance and they're now losing and lost their plan. that number was about two weeks old. so it's expected to rise. that's an incredible number. you have people that were totally happy, that loved their doctors and in many cases they won't be able to see those doctors again. they lost their plans. so you're talking about tremendous numbers. >> i think it's more like 5 million. you said 55 million? >> 55 million. >> okay. >> that's what i'm hearing. 55 million. >> here is robert gibbs, his former press secretary, going after the president, being honest about what this year has been like. >> i would say this is the worst year of the presidency. it does beat out 2011. but -- especially given from where we started, the fact that the first year of the second

term is the most productive. >> this is something the president was asked on friday in a press conference before he board the plane to go to hawaii. he skirted the issue and pretty much everybody is in agreement. what do you make of this? >> i heard somebody say today that it's the worst year of almost any presidency. it's been a disaster. and it's interesting. the web site is not the end all, but it shows grass imcompetence. and to have a web site so badly that -- do so badly that caused so much, $1.4 billion for a web site. they think it's up to 1.4. nobody knows how much it's costing. they were friends of the white house that did the web site. friends of mine that do web sites said it should have cost 20 million, maybe 30 million. i don't even i don't understand why it would cost that much. but they're professionals at web sites and they said, maybe 20 or 30 million. to have it really done properly. so we're up to 1.4 billion for a web site and it's totally

defunct. it doesn't work. it's an outrage and it's not only the cost, the fact is that the president's whole legacy is based on obamacare. so you would have thought he would have been totally involved, would have gotten microsoft instead of a company being sued by everybody. he would have gotten microsoft or google or one of our great companies. he didn't do that. he said he didn't know anything about the web site not working. he didn't check it. he didn't do anything about the web site. he never checked the web site until the day it went up and failed. it's failing now. two days ago it was turned off again. >> donald, the big question is can the president recover from this? matthew donald says there is no way the president can recover from this. rather than me taking words out of his mouth, let's listen to what he says. >> he's got the net 25 points in 12 months since january to today. it's his presidency, in my view and the credibility of his presidency and the relevancy of his presidency is dramatically in question today and i think he can't recover from it.

>> no president has ever recovered from it at that point in their presidency. >> mottoed has been credit -- matt dowd, an aide of president obama, that's what i thought was significant. about you, donald trump, i hear you're heading to new hampshire next month. so after the holidays, you're heading there. does that say that you're not interested in being governor and you're more interested in being president? >> it doesn't say anything. i have so many friends, democrats and republicans. i'm friendly with everybody. they want me to go to new hampshire and they've asked me to make a speech and i will be doing that. it's a great group of people. i really like that state a lot. i have a lot of friends there. i'm going to go make a speech. i wouldn't take too much from it. but they have asked me. many people have asked me to make speeches. when i do, it ends up being like why is he doing that? but i do it as a thing where i have great relationships. that's all it is. >> we're a couple of days away

you're right. the whole world is going to want to know this. >> wow. the obama administration leaking classified information about the bin laden raid to hollywood to make that film, that very well respected film, "zero dark thirty." who is in trouble for this? not the administration. but the journalist who reported it? so shouldn't we be holding the people who leaked the secret accountable? let's ask executive director of judicial watch, tom fitten. we know that leon panetta spoke too much. we know john brennan gave out way too much information. even the president the night of the attack was saying things they agreed not to say. where do you start with this? >> you would think he would start with panetta. we got information through the freedom of information act

showing panetta was pushing everyone to cooperate. we know one of the top intel officials, the top intel official in the defense department leaked information inappropriately to the screen writer for the film. and we know the screen writer met with the white house, mr. brennan, who is now c.i.a. director of the national security council, and deny miss income did you know know, now the white house chief of staff. panetta we now know leaked classified information. he virtually told them, everyone who was involved that the raid was mark poll. he was at a c.i.a. awards ceremony. panetta everyone there who was involved in the raid. nothing happened to him. and when someone called out the defense department for withholding conclusions about panetta's involvement in the leak, you know what happened? the guys who are now targeted with an investigation are the ones who called out defense department for covering up the

disclosure. >> so it's pretty outrageous, if you think about it, especially when secretary of defense, gates at the time, said let's disagree on one thing, whatever we talk about, nothing leaves this room. agreed? and within minutes, everybody is giving up interviews and giving up intelligence information. now there is a doctor unjustly charged in pakistan. and by all accounts, is being tortured and this doctor as well is the one who was the key to us finding bin laden. >> that's an excellent point. when someone lake edward snowden, they're chasing across the ends of the earth over his leaks, he's got to be wondering why syntopy -- is it panetta gets a free pass and everyone is coming after me is it if there are legitimate leak investigations, those are undermined when obvious in your face leaks like the one by panetta are given a free pass. the leak by the defense official, michael vickers, was referred to the justice department two months before the election. nothing happened to it. >> unbelievable. what can you do? what can we do as outsiders to

get out the truth? >> we have to keep pushing, keep pushing. mr. brennan is c.i.a. director. dennis mcdonough is the white house official, chief of staff. they met with the screen writer for "zero dark thirty." there needs to be congressional oversight investigations. they continue. and obviously there needs to be pressure from the outside from groups like judicial watch and the media needs to expose this. when you have the media like the associated press and fox news' james rosen being targeted with outrageous leak investigations and panetta, they've got info -- gave away the keys to the kingdom on the bin laden raid, my gosh, double standard is extraordinary and this lawless approach to leak investigations needs to be exposed. >> absolutely. on top of all of that, you think about the people at risk. john brennan, who is everywhere after bin laden raid, was nowhere after the benghazi killings and we could not find him. that's why susan rice was left out there to be the representative.

>> okay. >> it usually is. >> yeah. just kidding. yeah, we are going to be look at temperatures relatively chilly. unusually so. it was very mild across the northeast over the weekend. we set some record high temperatures, making it into the 70s in places like new york city and central park and also across connecticut and that was the case as well in parts of jersey. we set some record high temperatures. that's not really going to be the case so much today. we are going to be finally cooling off. that's all because we have a strong cold front moving eastward. it is producing some areas of heavy rain across parts of the southeast, up into the mid-atlantic. flood watches are posted here due to the heavy rain expected and across parts of new england. it's cold enough that some of that precipitation is coming down and freezing on contact. so there is an icing concern here, up to a half inch of ice is possible in portions of maine. so there is an ice storm warning in effects out here and freezing rain advisories posted as far south as the city of boston. be careful on the roadways. otherwise high temperatures in the midwest, very chilly.

thanks so much for spending spahning your monday morning with us. time for quick headlines. the stupid criminal edition. it's never a good idea to smoke a cigarette while filling your car with stolen gas. the car went on fire and the suspect tried driving away to put out the flames. he burned his socks and pants and singed his eyebrows and hair. and it didn't take long for florida cops to nab this thief after he left his wallet in the store's driveway. when cops found him, they also discovered an incriminating black ski mask at his house. affordable care act turning out to be not so affordable for some middle class families. our next guest is right above the subsidy line, having to deal with high premiums while covering their two children. just after learning her family's insurance is one of the millions being canceled. so joining us now from new hampshire is ginger chapman. good morning to you. and thank you.

i know you're not saying thanks right now to obamacare. what happened? >> well, i get a letter in october when obamacare was first ramping up and talking about canceling my insurance as of september 1, 2014. so when i went and checked out the prices on obamacare, i found out that my insurance was going to be twice as much. >> do you have a copy of that letter? i understand you have a copy of the actual letter that came to you stating that. there it is right there. >> yes. >> how does it read to you saying that your insurance has been canceled and -- or your premium is going to go up? >> well, it doesn't say my premium is going to increase in this letter. this letter just states that my plan that i have right now is not -- doesn't have the coverage mandated under the affordable care act. so that's why it's going to be

canceled as of september 1. they are giving me -- >> i'm sorry. >> they are allowing me to keep it until that time. >> this is due to your income actually, because if you had made just a few dollars less, you wouldn't be into this problem that you're now having. >> no. if we made a few thousand dollars less, we would get some subsidy. i'm not sure exactly how much because it doesn't really matter. i mean, we make what we make. essentially the premium is going to be over $1,000 a month under the affordable care act. >> how much does that add to you on a monthly basis in terms of what you are already paying? that your premium is higher. >> it pretty much doubles. >> doubles? oh, my goodness. what are you doing about it? what can you do about it?

>> well, i'm going to -- i think what i'll try to do is wait 'til september 1, keep the premium i have, the policy that i have and maybe by september 1 things will be different. but if the premiums are still twice as much as what i'm paying now, i won't have insurance. >> wow. >> we won't have insurance. we'll either -- maybe we'll qualify for catastrophic care and go from there. >> i understand the quandary that you're in right now and you're probably wise to try to ride this out. but you're certainly echoing the concerns of so many millions of americans who are having their policies canceled or watching their premiums skyrocket. keep us informed and updated. thank you for joining us today and even at this present time, i wish you a merry christmas. >> oh, thank you. you, too.

she was fired after she tweeted this before a flight to south africa. going to africa. hope i don't get aids. just kidding. i'm white. by the time she landed, she was fired from her high profile public relations job. the disgraced exec then said this: words cannot express how sorry i am and how necessary it is for me to apologize to the people of south africa who i have offended due to a needless and careless tweet. fast and furious 7 now has a new release date. april 10, 2015. the franchise star vin diesel posting posting this on facebook along with the late paul walker. it will be leased months later than it was originally anticipated. the production of that movie came to a halt after paul walker died last month. no information has been provided on how his character will be portrayed in the final film. >> those are your headlines at this hour. >> we want to talk about obamacare and today is the

deadline day, as you know. today is the day that everyone has to scramble to get health insurance and make sure they have it on january 1. the question is, can anybody be certain they have it on january 1, even if they went ahead and signed up for because a lot of these applications are coming in jumbled. there is really a -- there isn't a payment instrument for you to get fulfillment. you might have to fill up your prescription and then find out you're not cover. >> that's a rude awakening. we're looking at healthcare.gov. the case in oregon, too, they said that if you haven't heard from us by monday, today, then you probably ought to look elsewhere so that you don't have a lapse in coverage. they're getting robo calls. that's what this has come to. the president yesterday saying this law is working. this is a good thing. he suspect out this e-mail yesterday from vacationing in hawaii. saying, the law is work. if you don't have health care, go to the site right now and sign up. if do you it before december 23rd, you can be covered on the first day of the new year. i'm asking you to spread the

word about getting covered. so he's basically saying, talk to your family about it. >> there is a reason for that. the president was very concerned about it, continues to be very concerned about it and on friday when he gave his news conference at the white house, he estimated some 2 million people had already enrolled and he thought that was a good thing. the president also touting the fact he doesn't want people to go broke because they're sick. however, he realizes that there is a problem with messaging out there. but there is also a problem with implementation. this has been one of his worst years and to add validity to that, one of his own best friends and colleagues who was with him in the beginning days, robert gibbs, former white house press secretary, weighing in on the issue, talking about this past year for the president, even going beyond affordable care act. saying the problem is experience ago problematic year. let's listen. >> no doubt, i would say this is the worst year of the presidency. it does beat out 2011. but and especially given where

he started, the fact that the first year of a second term is historically the most productive of a second term. >> it is. he had momentum. he had a significant election win. he had wind on his back. he got his tax increase like he promised. and then ever since then, he wanted to get immigration done. it's not even close. out comes the irs scandal, a.p. scandal, bungling of the red line with syria. then you have the shutdown, even the republicans are blamed. he's still the president. can't work out any deal. then we see the horrible implementation of obamacare. not a good movement but yesterday "60 minutes" focused on somebody else in the eye of the storm and that was susan rice, his national security advisor. >> she mentioned these scandals as phony scandals and the talking points she was using, talking about benghazi, she's continuing to call this a false scandal and she doesn't have time to even think about. >> i don't have time to think

about a false controversy. in the midst of all of the swirl about things like talking points, the administration has been work very, very hard across the globe to review our security of our embassies and our facilities. that's what we ought to be focused on. >> so she says she doesn't regret going on the sunday shows, if you remember september last year, just like four days after four innocent americans were killed in benghazi and trying to push the talking points on that, that it was an anti-muslim video, a video that caused this. >> here is a question that came up: where was secretary of state hillary clinton at the time? why didn't she did on the sunday talk shows? that was a question asked over and over again and no one could get a straight answer. now susan rice, the national security advisor, is weighing in on this issue on "60 minutes." here is what she's saying about hillary clinton. >> she had just gone through an incredibly painful and stressful

week. secretary clinton, as our chief diplomat, had to reach out to the families, had to greet the bodies upon their arrival at andrews air force base. if i were her, the last thing i would have wanted to do is to do five sunday morning talk shows. so i think it's perfectly understandable. >> when they asked you -- >> when the white house asked me, i agreed to do it. >> do you ever think, gee, i wish i hadn't done that? if you hadn't done that, i'd be calling you madam secretary. >> you can call me susan. >> that's her title. the other thing that's hard to believe, she goes hillary clinton was at the hangar talking to the families saying we're going to get the producer of that movie. now we know on many levels, maybe even her level, the state department knew this was more than an attack. we had direct cables that night that the attack had nothing to do with that movie and the secretary of state then hillary clinton, was saying a false narrative. the other thing is how regretful can she be if no one has even

been called to capture -- or captured or killed because they killed our guys? you don't do this if you're susan rice unless you have something to say. if you want to apologize, do the interview. if you want to say we got the guys, do the interview. she did the interview and put up the same talking points. >> you know why she did that? that was the tough part. there was a nice part of the interview where they talked about her being the first senior national security advisor to be a mother and how she managed soccer practice and working 12 to 14 hours a day. so you got to see a softer side of her. i think there was a little methodology behind that because you're right -- >> let's not separate the facts. people do regret what happened and this administration had a chance yesterday to say we regret what happened. they've done it, but the bottom line is that talking about what hillary clinton was going through that week, what about the families of those four people who were killed? what did they go through that week? what about the fact that the build-up to what took place in benghazi, the state department,

about is not being talked about. i'm going to try to keep from saying something really, really horrible this morning, but if i do and it stirs up as much stink as the duck thing did, and somebody at a & e or fox going to pay me $100 million to get on tv and walk quack like a duck, i'll say it. ask the folks at cracker barrel how they feel about it. the popular ground swell for the duck people, the robertsons, has been unbelievable. so, you know, i've said some things in my life i wish i hadn't said. we've all done that. but this man was expressing his beliefs and he has a right to say that. the good folks, the man from glaad, the people from glaad have a right to get torqued off about it and the people at a & e have a right to fire him if they want to cost themselves $100 million, to merry christmas to all. >> you're talk being cracker bare. they initially decided to pull all of their "duck dynasty" merchandise and the free market decided and they said nope,

sorry. 'cause they were getting e-mails and phone calls and social media against that. so clearly their fans are loyal. should they just go to another network? there has been offers from a couple of networks. >> here is some people who turned -- the fact that they could make a duck call with a piece of wood and a pocket knife and they turned that into a multi jillion dollar intersurprise, i bet you they can figure out how to get on tv somewhere. they could probable low buy a & e if they wanted to. >> the bottom line is, this man, phil robertson, is allowed to say what he wants to say and he's talking about his beliefs in the bible which resonates with a lot of americans and around the world. he has an excellent show that's out there. even the president of the united states and his daughters watch this show. it's a wholesome show, very entertaining. why would you try sabotage your own success, speaking of a & e?

>> it baffles me. what a & e should do, i think, is look at what free enterprise is. ie, the robertson family. they do what they do and they do it very well. i think they'll back off of this. when it gets to the bottom line -- and that's okay. that's what profit is about. if they make a good profit, they can give their employees a good christmas bonus. they ought to look at the ducks, see what they do, and kind of follow the same marketing plan, i would say. do what works. do what is successful. the ducks, the robertsons know what their audience is. they play to it. free enterprise. god bless them. i'm all for t. like i say, i you thinke on tv and someone we ought to cancel his $100 million show? bring that on, please. >> tonight talk about remembering ray price. he was a good friend of yours. just before he passed away, you were on the phone with his wife asking if you could sing for

here are some quick headlines. new delays pushing back a second emergency space walk on the international space station. the walk to repair a broken cooling system was originally scheduled for today. the walk was delayed because of issues with the space walker's suit and are working on a replacement one, which is very important. and more fallout now from the massive security breach impacting target shoppers. now millions of stolen credit and debit card account members or numbers i should say, are reportedly showing up on the black market. the cards are being sold from around $20 to more than $100 each. this comes as three class action lawsuits have been filed against target. with nearly is hundred million people expected to hit the roads between now and new year, millions of driver also encounter this thing called winter weather. not today's weather. our own maria molina knows all about that. did you go out and put your

skills to the test when it comes to ice and snow? >> we did. we put my skills to the test. >> do you have any? >> you're about to find out in the package because we're constantly being remained how dangerous driving in the snow, sleet and ice can be. so i went to new hampshire to get a lesson behind the wheel. ♪ ♪ >> growing up in florida, i clearly didn't do much driving in the snow. so i went to the driving school to get a crash course. this race car driver started the school after realizing people were completely unprepared. >> we can save lives this way. i think most people have never been in a skid. they don't know what to do when it happens. >> austin is the driver, the not road conditions, who is dangerous? >> one of the biggest mistakes we see, winter driving is just a matter of you're not reading the conditions properly as they're

changing, as they're driving down the wheel. people tend to get this feeling of overconfidence. >> which is why everyone needs to know their car before they hit the highway. >> really makes a big difference whether this is a front wheel drive car or rear wheel drive car. if it's rear wheel drive, it will behave one way. if front wheel, it will behave a different way. >> first, i had to learn how it drive a stick. >> clutch in, stick goes all the way back into second gear. clutch out. >> then it's off to the course where i get to know the road. >> getting to know the conditions. if i don't know how slippery it is out here, i might drive around contained of cautiously and feel it out. whenever you're in the snow, it kind of makes sense sometimes to feel. oh, if i hit the brakes, how much traction do i have? >> keeping it simple can keep you safe. >> really focus on doing one thing at a time. if you need to brake or accelerate, you really don't want to do it in the middle of turns. >> even the best drivers slip and slide in slick conditions,

but watching where you want to go and shifting the car's weight helps. >> whatever is happening really, look where you want to end up and turn there and that's going to be your best way. when you feel that happen like the front tires lost grip and the car is not turning anymore, come off of the gas. if that's not working, even add a little brake to get some weight onto the front. >> no matter how prepared you are, obstacles will appear of the it's how you react that can be the difference between life and death. >> people think something bad is coming up, i want to stop, i want to get out of the way. and at the same time, it doesn't work. if they hit the brakes hard and try to turn at the same time, they might slow down, but the car is going to employee straight. -- plow straight. you got to release the brake to make it turn. >> oh, no! >> go right. look through it, look up down the road. you're done. >> now i'm ready to drive through even the worst winter conditions.
