partnership based on shared interest and our strong support for libyans historic democratic transition. >> major ruling in favor of the nsa. a federal judge says the agency's sweeping surveillance program is legal calling it a counter punch to terrorism. the decision is contrary to another district court ruling this month that found the nsa program unconstitutional. the aclu plans to appeal that ruling. the issue is likely headed to the supreme court. and talk about ironic. an ice breaking ship sent in -- you knew this was going to happen. sent in to rescue a strapped vessel in the an artic. the snow dragon ran into ice flow while trying to reach the expedition which has been stuck in ice since christmas eve. now the nearly 74 people on board will likely have to wait another two days to be rescued. two other ice breaking ships have been sent in to help. these this is one of those areas let's navigate. >> that is ironic. he has face and style.

probably justin timberlake. >> is he quite the dresser. >> will i am. >> i don't know. let's talk about this, emergency unemployment benefits expire. mentioned at the top of the show. both parties left town without extending any of those benefits. >> elizabeth prann is in d.c. with the story. liz? >> good morning. and you are right, more than a million people are waking up this morning without their emergency unemployment benefits. the program has been in place since the recession started back in 2008. and if you look at the impact, there is about, like i said, 1.3 million people are accepting sem mental unemployment payments. they have been doing it about -- six week more than the 26 week maximum. so, on average, about six months or more. now, that's about $300 on average a week. so the cost to the average taxpayer, about $25 billion a year. the fact the extension was not included in the two year budget deal passed before lawmakers went on a winter break is now creating a political football. democrats are pushing for an

extension of the program, many of them are slamming republicans for not including it in the budget, despite the fact that the bill was co-authored by democratic senator patty murray. that being said, the republican leadership has indicated that they may be willing to extend the benefits if democrats offset the new spending with other cuts. they said they want the program to be paid for before signing off. >> first of all, it's been extended 11 times, and it's at a cost of more than $250 billion. it's a lot of money. if you don't pay for it, it's adding to the debt and the deficit which we're on the hook now for about $17 trillion and climbing. so, there is an argument to be made that this has to be paid for. >> and president obama did call senator dean heller and jack reed just yesterday offering his support for a bipartisan piece of legislation that does provide a three month extension but remember the senators don't return to d.c. until january 6th. mike, clayton, juliet in back to you guys.

>> thank you very much. clayton, would you do the honors today? >> i would love to. because all last weekend we talked about "duck dynasty" and phil roberts being suspended. now is he back on the show. phil robertson in famous interview now famous magazine interview which has been taken and extrapolated and stretched out of context made some comments that many folks thought were highly controversial and insensitive to gay americans. sticking by his beliefs, a&e said we are suspending you, taking you off the air phil robertson of course backlash. twitter explodes. there is i stand with phil pops up on twitter. a&e now overnight has reversed its source and back on the air now. >> it seems by far the loudest voices came from those who believe -- those who have faith and those who believe he was speaking based on his faith and that he has a right to speak that way. let's listen -- let's look at what "duck dynasty" what a&e said about "duck dynasty." they say it's not a show

about one man's views. this i think is a very important thing. this is sad for a lot of folks who felt that his comments were racist and homophobe bic. it resonates w audience because it is a show he about family. a family that america has come to love. and then. >> glaad's response, here is the other side of it, they are, of course, still fired up about it phil robertson should look african-american and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising jim crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists. if not part of the next steps then a&e has chosen profits over african-american and gay people. especially its employees and viewers. >> there are a lot of people who were incredibly offended by his comments. a lot of people fans of the show who like the show and love the family that maybe some people ended up watching because they thought it would be another honey boo boo. the family turned out to be very likeable and very relatable. very appealing, so this is the kind of thing that

really turned a lot of people off. the question is: will they have the ratings that they did? will they fizzle out? >> the rates will go up. and, you know, a&e. >> immediately or will they be able -- >> -- immediately. >> watch. people are allowed to have opinions. i think it's important that a&e brought them back. >> bullying going on if you don't like this person's opinions, you know what? it's capitalism. you don't have to watch this person on television. you don't have to watch them. it's capitalism in play. marketplace won again. if you don't like his comments, don't watch the show. >> if you don't like howard stern, turn it. >> turn it off. >> a&e, they suspended him, but look what they did over christmas. marathon. all you see on a&e is "duck dynasty." they used to throw in a little bit of storage wars and shipping wars.

every time i turn on a&e it's "duck dynasty." that's how popular it is. >> this is victory for christianity and religious freedom. bobby jindal, governor of louisiana where the show is filmed tweeted this almost immediately. today is a good day for the freedoms of speech and religious liberty. the left may control hollywood but they don't control the hearts and minds of the majority of americans. he is right. a number of americans who believe. this and a number of articles popping up saying this should be a sign to those who have a certain faith in this country who believe and believe phil robertson's comments are truth to them. and it shouldn't -- media shouldn't be controlled by the west coast and the east coast. there is a huge swathe a population in the middle of this country that believe. this. >> and yeah, and everybody has an opinion. isn't it funny how a reality show about guys who invented a duck call 40 years ago getting all sorts of people to respond, including politicians and also the family research council, tony perkins a guy you know

very well has this to say about the new ruling by a&e. >> obviously this is a good day, good news coming to the fans, the millions of fans of "duck dynasty" but also, i would say, it's good news for christians out there who feel like they have had to suppress their faith, their belief in the bible, and its truth as it pertains to morality. this shows that if you stand up to these cultural bullies, they have to back down. there are some lessons to be learned here. i think there are lessons to be learned from the cultural elite, from a&e and those types that those folks in the red states are not just consumers of their products but these are people who believe very deeply, with moral truths. they are christians who want to live out their faith and so i think they have to realize they are not going to change what they believe in. >> this is really quite a phenomenon. it went from talking about social issues to really became political, you couldn't look at emails and facebook and twitter without

welcome back, everybody. veterans furious as lawmakers attempt to balance the budget on the backs of america's heros. the new budget cuts, pensions for younger veterans by thousands of dollars well the president just gave a raise to federal workers. is that fair? retired marine gunnery sergeant jesse jane duff is with concerned veterans for america. and sergeant, welcome to the show. >> good morning, thank you so much for having me, mike. >> how does this effect you and specifically women? not just because you are a woman but this is the topic today. >> well, you you know, i am a retired marine. did i serve 2 oyears on active duty. and to see they are going to cut retirement benefits for the average e 7 which the rank i was when i retired,

that's going to be $3,600 a year. $20,000 that are going to come out of their check. they are going tonight up losing $80,000 before they are 62 years old. an officer retiring at 42 years old is going to lose on average $124,000. and you know, when you sit back and think about the sacrifice we made for paul ryan to say we are working adults, let's think about. this we get off of active duty. many of us are broke, without a job. we have difficulties in our first 10 years getting off of active duty to even be equal to our civilian counterparts. this is an outrageous attitude that they have towards us. >> you mentioned representative paul ryan there he says that it costs a lot to fund a military person just one, like $40,000 or 40% increase in about 11 years. what do you say to that? it costs a lot. >> what paul ryan is saying is very misloading. he makes it sound like we got a 40% pay increase. we have never gotten a 41% pay increase. the funding for each person on ache aive duty is a lack

of the budget within dod to be responsible. we have access dollars going out the with a zoo. $8 trillion unaccounted for within dod because they have never had an audit. we have warehouses from world war 2 a billion dollars spent by the air force on a future program that got flushed down the drain. we have many going out the ears, so they are going to sacrifice it out of the pay raise on our active duty military that is not even going to be equal to the rate of inflation? meanwhile these families have been deployed three are and four times over to afghanistan and iraq. we have 450,000 iraq, afghanistan veterans that are going to retire and you are going to say paul ryan that we have an extremely generous benefit? that's an outrageous statement sacrifice. >> along into the waste that the dod. what does it say though to -- i think one of the problems, sergeant, is that not enough of us served in the military. we can't relate. not enough people in congress served in the military. >> you know what you? hit the nail on the head.

to say it's extremely benefit how come. less than 1% have defended this nation. 1% puts themselves in harm's way every day for that country. out of that 1%. think about this, less than 17% of that 1% even make it to retirement. you have got people with ptsd. people that have got to get discharged early for ailments, yet he is going to face a luxury. >> sergeant recollect i love your passion. >> thank you. >> thank you for being up early with us today. >> thanks for having me. >> we'll stay on this story. >> days away from rain. that means tax breaks are set to expire. which ones, you should hurry and worry about. and we'll be talking about that in just a second. but then, so many people talking about this one. a daring rescue caught on camera. a cop risked his life to pull a man from his burning car. now a huge update on that story in about three minutes. ♪

story florida's population about to beat new york that could be a problem. >> let's talk about education expense deductions a lot of people rely on this. what two things are about to happen here. >> first we have out of pocket expense deduction for teachers, principals and aides anywhere from kindergarten to 12th grade that's up to $250. also on the student side for college tuition and fees for students but typically it's the parents who get those deductions and that amounts up to $4,000 for most middle income tax families. >> are the. will let's talk about energy efficient deductions. a lot of people solar and green energy programs, are those expiring? >> well, the most popular position is a 10% tax credit for some energy efficient improvements to your home such as insulation, doors, and windows. so let's say you spend $2,000 in windows you are eligible for a credit of up to $200. >> check and see what deductions with vanishing this year. mortgage deductions, a lot

of changes here. explain. >> there are two provisions that taxpayers should be aware of. at first you didn't quite have enough money down payment, lender required to you get insurance called pmi. in the past have you been able to deduct thatment a. those premiums, just like you can mortgage interest. unfortunately that's going to be going away in just a few days here. >> i'm sorry, go ahead. >> also, something you should be aware of, if you are having financial difficulties and there is a chance you are going to lose your home next year from foreclosure or short sale, you should be aware have to pick up something in income. let me give you an example because not very intuitive. if you have a house that's worth 180,000, and let's say it's under water so your mortgage is 200,000 and the bank erases that debt and let's you walk away, you know, walk away clear, you could have to pick up $20,000 in income. >> what about quickly distributions to charity with your ira? >> yes, this is a popular

libya releasing four u.s. military personnel. they were detained late friday night at a check point. the four likely special op.s were investigating potential evacuation routes for diplomats. security forces protecting the american embassy there. nobody was hurt. tensions have been high between the u.s. and libya since the deadly terror attack in benghazi that killed four americans last september. >> ice breaking ship, i mean it's supposed to go in and break ice so that trapped ships can be rescued. the ship didn't quite make that happen. it got stuck, too. the snow dragon ran into an ice flow while trying to reach the expedition which has been struck since christmas eve. there are nearly 74 people on board this ship, the expedition ship. they have to wait another two days to be rescued. two ice breaking ships have been sent in to help. in a 180-degree move and not really that much of a surprising move at this point. a&e says phil robertson will

lines making it really difficult and very dangerous to actually to work on and restore power. they say crews are working 18 hour shifts to get everything back up and running. >> wow from michigan to maine, janice is it still cold there? >> you know, temperatures are going to warm up a little bit, but then it's going to get cold again. the ice might melt but then it's going to re-freeze it's been incredible. comparing it to the ice storm of 1998 and to have that many people without power is pretty unbelievable. so let's take a look at it right now. it's quiet in terms of weather right now. we do have another system that's going to move its way towards new england. some areas could get an icy mix for parts of maine and northern new england so we're going to keep an eye on that certainly but it won't be the ice storm that we just saw over the christmas holidays. so, looking at the radar, this is the system we are going to be watching out of the gulf of mexico. it's going to become a coastal event, but too warm to have a real big snow storm. mainly a rain event this afternoon. overnight tonight and into tomorrow some of the big cities tomorrow afternoon

payments and many do so longer than the standard 26 week minimum. they get about $300 on average a week. so the cost to the tanks pair is about $25 billion a year. i'm going to toss to a sound bite now that we are getting from susan from "the washington examiner." take a listen. >> first of all, it's been extended 11 times and it's at a cost of well more than $250 billion. it's a lot of money. if you don't pay for it, it's adding to the debt and the deficit which we're on the hook now for about $17 trillion and climbing. so, there is an argument to be made that this has to be paid for. >> but democrats are pushing for an extension of the program and many of them are slamming republicans for not including it in the budget. house minority leader nancy pelosi released a statement which reads, in part, neglecting to extend this vital lifeline to millions of workers is simply immoral and obligation to do what we can do to support those who worked hard, played by the

republican. whiter folks, older folks vote republican. people are more happy and more satisfied with their lives than younger folks. one of the things they left out was economic status. if you have less money you are probably going to be a little bit less happier than someone more well off, more stable, more secure. i think that's probably why the findings are what they are. >> would you consider yourself liberal? >> i am a liberal, yes. >> would you consider yourself happy? happy and i'm not married. >> you know. >> abraham lincoln said you are only as happy as you put your mind to be. youlike both hands. i will give this. this is a very nonpolitical statement to say answered came out and said it i really do honestly agree with him and it has to do more with the faith as well as the family status as to why they ways this on. also talks about the plat forms of both republican partiened at democrat party. republicans were more, i think realistic. we believe embolding people

to stand on their own, self-respect are, self-responsibility. democrats usually say more compassionate and looking to solve problems by causing other problems and making people. >> i don't think that's true. i think democrats are more empathetic and we look at the problems that exist in society and run for office to fix those problems. maybe if you have more empathy you might be less happy because you are acknowledging that problems do exist structurally around us. >> it goes back to the old cliche though. conservative women we like to stand on our own. >> i think liberal women do the exact same thick. >> you mentioned the marriage comment. there is a difference between conservative and liberal marriages. conservative women in a marriage while we are independent and we can stand on our own we respect that the man is the head of the household and therefore we don't have that tension. most liberal marriages are ba a battle who is the big dog in the maker and you have that tension. tension does not equal happiness in the marriage. >> i still think that marriage is a partnership. i don't think necessarily have to do with political ideology but probably the

decision. besides, it's a great learning experience, i think. as children repeat this pledge, it offers up questions for them and their teachers and parents over time. maybe they begin to realize what went into being able to say that pledge. >> with liberty and justice for all. you're right. you hit on it there. it creates discussion, right? >> yes. i think it does for -- eventually i think that starts resonating and the children ask their parents about it, ask their teachers about it. i think our veterans and our fighting men and women really appreciate the idea of our children understanding the sacrifices that went into the liberty and justice. and the indivisible portion of that. >> senator, you made the argument the kids don't have to be forced to say this. parents can say our children are going to opt out, correct? >> that is correct. in fact i was in a school recently, not on this topic but a different one. one of the children, obviously

african-american and guy people especially its employees and viewers. it did raise the chatter about this issue. it's interesting to me. a lot of folks are going to tune in to see what this show is all about. a&e are banking about that. >> a lot of networks came forward. hunting network. they said we'll take it off your hands. >> politico is out there. bobby jindal said today is a good day for the freedoms of speech and religious liberty. the left may control hollywood but not the hearts and minds of the majority of americans. >> you have to stand up to these cultural bullies that are going to yank things off the air. hollywood doesn't rule everything. >> obviously, this is a good day, good news coming to the millions of fans of "duck dynasty" but good news to christians who feel they had to

spending on unemployment insurance is the smart thing to do for our economy. it shouldn't be a partisan issue. >> washington, d.c., law makers enjoy christmas vacation, democrats are slamming republicans for not agreeing to extend unemployment benefits for millions set to expire today. would renewing those benefits even help or would it just keep people comfortably unemployed? let's have a fair and balanced debate radio talk show host david webb is here and campaign director for the center for

american progress action fund emily tisch-susman. let's start with you. unemployment benefits. if you lose your job today, you're still going to get six months of unemployment benefits. this goes back to 2008. we keep extending and extending. bad message? >> we do keep extending but it's because people are still out of work and looking for work. unemployment benefits go to people who lost their job under no fault of their own and actively looking for work. >> if they know they are going to get that check, does it keep them from finding a job? >> absolutely not. it takes the average job seeker about 35 weeks to find a job. when unemployment benefits only go to 26 weeks, we want to keep people actively looking. th this helps them do that. they don't have to grab that first job. they can actually look for a job appropriate to their skills. >> some studies say that's not

true. >> it doesn't strengthen the labor force, it weakens the economy. when they poll employers, they prefer to hire someone unemployed for a shorter time. your skills atrophy, new people enter the work force, competition increases. i feel for people who lost a job for whatever reason in this economy especially and this failed recovery. we have to look at an aggregate picture. we need a strong labor participation rate. you don't need that by taking unemployment. we borrow money to pay unemployment. we went from 26 weeks to 99 weeks. longer and longer you're out of the labor force hurts the economy and hurts you. you're unable to compete. the hard message for americans is this, there is a point which you have to take one job, two jobs and do whatever it is even if it's not in your field. that unfortunately is the reality.

>> they didn't bring up the issue. >> washington sees the reality in spite of politics that's been played with this our labor force participation rate. 34-year lows. people are out of the work force. if you're on unemployment longer, people tend to leave the labor force which hurts the economy for the democrats that means less tax revenue. to americans, the working people who will pay taxes will continue to pay off the debt because as we borrow money to extend unemployment benefits, we have to pay it back with interest. >> i would agree employers, it's difficult, they would rather not employ someone unemployed longer. that is a reality. we need to keep them in the process all together. if they can take that time to spend more time refreshing their resume, getting more --

>> refreshing your skills. that's a typewriter function. >> it does keep money in the local economies. this is money going straight to people that are going to spend it in their local economies. judge, wrong. that is that nancy pelosi argument that sounds like you give them $1 creates $1.78. there is no economic equation. there is no economic equation. we are taking money and borrowing money to give it to someone on an aggregate improves the economy. you need labor force participation which generates income. that's how it works. >> i will push back on this. cbo does say that cutting the unemployment benefits and dropping as we are doing today will cut about 300,000 jobs out of the economy. this is not a time we can afford to do this. these are people getting the money and spending it in their local economies. they are not collecting it. they are putting it right back into the local economies. >> do you think there is truth to the study, i'm guaranteed this check every month, i,

what's the benefit for looking for a job. >> absolutely not. these are never, these were never benefits that go on into perpetuity. people collecting these benefits need to show they are actively looking for a job and they want to work. they want the dignity of working. we are coming to see the politics around this. people want to see politicians that they want the dignity and income. >> there are no absolutes in this. there are people that want to work. stay where we are. where we need to be is on the economic argument. jobs begin to develop. as you redistribute money regardless of politics, as you take money from one sector and put it into another and create a longer term debt problem which is more money that has to be paid back, you hurt the economy. this cycle has to stop.

a 72-year-old man saved from his burning car. car was on fire, by an lapd bomb squad officer on his way to work christmas day. joining us is this officer don thompson. great to have you on this morning. thanks for waking up early. >> thanks for having me. >> tell us, you're driving to work. you're minding your own business. what do you see? >> well, i was taking note how light the traffic was when i looked to the left at the oncoming traffic and i saw a car crash into a retaining wall then cross the entire freeway and then crash to the center retaining wall. >> once that happened, what happened? it caught on fire? >> right. soon as it hit that retaining wall which is a k-rail, the car went up in flames. it just coasted down the freeway

and came to a rest about 100 feet from me. >> that's when you ran over to the car. tell us what happened. did you see the driver? >> i didn't see the driver. i knew the driver was going to be injured from the force of the impact. i knew the driver had to get excavated out of the vehicle because of the flames. >> and he obviously did. >> yes, he did. >> running over to a burning car, we see in hollywood cars blow up at a certain point. did you have any hesitation trying to get this guy out? >> no. there was no hesitation. you instinctively do things like that there comes a point when you become a little bit afraid and become nervous and you wonder what have you gotten

veterans pensions and the president in hawaii saying he wants congress to come to some agreement. >> military benefits are being slashed. this is a serious problem for them. we were talking about this earlier. a lot of folks, you may not identify with them, but this is serious. these are people who sacrificed for our country. let's talk about what it means these benefits, these cuts. what it means for a vet who retires at 42 years old. talking about a $72,000 loss of benefit. >> we had a machine gunnery on the show and she is fired up about it. she did not hold back on paul ryan. >> the they are going to cut retirement benefits for the average e-7, that is going to be $3,600 a year, $20,000 that are going to come out of their check. they are going to lose $80,000 before they are 62 years old. an officer retiring at 42 is

going to lose on average $124,000. you know when you sit back and think about the sacrifice we made for paul ryan to say we are working adults, let's think about this. we get off active duty, many of us are broke, without a job and we have difficulties in our first ten years getting off active duty to even be equal to our civilian counterparts. this is an outrageous attitude. >> she mentioned paul ryan because he made a particular statement, but it was bipartisan agreement that worked on the budget deal with patty murray. >> democrats and republicans did this deal, passed it, president signed it, they fled and are sunning themselves a few weeks till they come back january 6th. we've got e-mails this morning. "the very fact the government is taking the balancing of the budget off the backs of the military is completely crazy. it appears they have forgotten who it is that protects them in

this country." "best thing to do is start cutting into washington's pork. cut their benefits. put them on the front line. cut theirs fast." >> when you have a $550 billion defense budget and you can't find waste in there? that is absurd. >> how many segments on ridiculous spending? >> i don't get fired up a lot like that. you tell me there is no waste and veterans' benefits get cut? all these programs and items because of these defense bills and contracts lining people's pockets? >> active military benefits being cut. >> they have to worry about that and their families at home trying to survive. it's just a mess. >> then you have senators like john mccain who stand up to this establishment and say we don't need these aircraft you're ordering and spending billions

welcome back to the best show on television. dreams are often thought to hold some pretty deep meanings. now there's a few new smart phone apps to help you decode them. joining us to tell us which dream apps are the real deal is a dream expert herself. nice to see you this morning. welcome to the show. >> good morning from california. >> before we analyze why i am constantly naked in public in my dreams, let's talk about these apps you know about. >> yes. sure. there are a number of new apps that have been released on the market in the last few years. what is fun about them, i think, is that it tends to encourage a new culture of dreaming. everybody is really excited. there was this new app released a few months ago called dream on. one day after they released it they had 100,000 dreams. there are people interested in sharing their dreams.

then you have apps that have this function where dreamers can actually talk in their dreams in the app or write them down. they go into this social data base so we can actually see what people are dreaming around the world. it's kind of cool. >> dream on helps you influence your dream. shadow app helps you remember your dream. >> i need that. >> i never remember. then you have dream weaver app which helps you fall asleep. people with insomnia, worse sleep patterns in this country than ever before. it plays soothing sounds. >> exactly. the dream on app, the way i understand it is, it has the ability possibly to influence dreams. that's what they are testing out right now. they have different soundscapes that the dream can listen to before they go to bed. the app is so smart you put it next to you in your bed it will detect when you're moving a lot and not moving a lot.

when you're not moving a lot you're likely to be in rem cycle. when you're not moving, the app will start playing music so they can trigger something might be influencing the dream. it could also, if you program yourself to say, hey, when this music comes on, i'm going to know i'm dreaming. >> we need help figuring out and psycho analyzing juliet and mike. we want to get these dream interpreters what this stuff means. can you help analyze some of our dreams? mike has an issue. describe your issue. >> over and over, the same dream. i'm naked in public. naked in public trying to get to a college exam. >> oh, yeah, two popular dreams combined into one. first of all, of course i can only give a general view point. always going to be your unique dream and why it is showing up in your life.

it's a general rule of thumb, if it was my dream i would say if i dreamt i was naked in public, maybe i felt like i talked a little too much about something i wasn't comfortable about sharing. i feel a little exposed or a little we might feel a little t much revealed. >> i'm having a dream about a swedish woman. what about you? what's the dream you have? >> mine are the teeth falling out thing. i dream that a lot. >> what's that? >> yeah. so the teeth falling out, it can be multiple, multiple meanings for that dream, not one standard interpretation. so for example, teeth, they often symbolize biting into something or it can also symbolize power. you kind of have to combine that dream with how you're feeling. >> i love you. >> don't forget, it might be some kind of intuitive dream. >> i got to take a nap. >> mike will have a dream about

the new year which means 2014 political predictions. >> here with us is the director of the university of virginia center for politics, larry sabado. good morning. we have been dreaming of talking with you about this segment. all right. >> sorry to compare you to a swedish woman. >> that's all right. i'm delighted we're here in another election year, almost. >> so you feel there will be more house retirements? >> yeah. that's inevitable. you always have most of the retirements announced in the first few months of the actual election year. we've had quite a few already. but i tell you, it doesn't really change my outlook, my forecast for the year, because the vast majority of house districts are predetermined. that's why the republicans will almost certainly keep the house. >> what about the senate? lot of question as to whether or not the democrats can hang on to the senate. will senate majority leader harry reid still have a job?

what's your prediction? >> he needs to worry, because the republicans need to pick up six house seats. right now the democrats control the senate 55-45. right now, if the election were held now, i think the republicans would pick up either three or four seats. well, you know, that's getting close to six and if you have a wave and you never see a wave coming until october, the wave could easily carry republicans over the 50 mark. now, i have to add, republicans blew it in 2010 and 2012. they could have had the senate already so you never know. you have to watch day to day. >> hang around. we want to know about governorships and the president himself when we come back. okay? stay with us.
