>> thank you, you too. >> why is the administration, she have been since the beginning, on not just this conflict, but others as well. why are they so against saying al-qaeda was involved in this or other attacks? does it bend with their narratives? >> two primary reasons. first off is the narrative doesn't fit. at the time if you recall, when they were going through this during the election time, they were saying al-qaeda is on the run. clearly if al-qaeda is able to launch a concerted, well-planned attack at the very time they're saying they're on the run, that destroys the narrative. secondly, this calls attention to the larger, broader flawed policy. let's remember that president obama ask hillary clinton both said that the libyan conflict would be quick and kinetic. i was right here saying north texas -- no back when it first happen. the chaos you see now will be what happened and that's another thing they don't want to draw attention to. third, and i think most importantly, now the instability there has become a source for other radical groups to get
5:46 am
involved. for example, the muslim brotherhood is involved stirring up trouble again. my organization will be working to get congress to declare the brotherhood a terrorist organization like egypt did. this is why they don't want to talk about this. the region is more unstable than it ever has been before. >> we heard from president obama the reason for going into libya in the first place, to remove gadhafi, was liberate the libyan people. has that happened? >> no t did not. i think that's one of the most festering wounds out there by the fact that again, as i just mentioned, it's become a radical hot bed. tripoli is controlled by an al-qaeda organization. the muslim brotherhood working with al-shariah in benghazi and you have essentially a partition country where you tonight have an effective central governance. the people of libya are suffering a nightmare and one of the other facts here is that in
5:47 am
the past you had other foreign countries, and foreigners coming in to help run the economy. they won't go back because of the instability. we've seen the end results of our ambassador being killed, three other people being attacked. it's just not a good situation. >> "new york times" standing by their report in all of this as even though congressional testimony and a number of leaders have come forward and said this is a bogus report. one of the things that stands out in these six chapters, no mention of hillary clinton. >> right. this is -- intriguing by the fact that gregory hicks testified under oath -- he's one of those that came forward and said he was talking to hillary clinton the evening of the attack and that phone call, according to his testimony, she asked him, what do you want me to do? and his answer was pretty easy to understand. it's like, send help. we're under attack. and this also rises the ugly head of where did that whole video narrative come from? it was clear from the testimony that no one ever claimed a video
5:48 am
or any sort of protests were ongoing at the time of the attack. so where did that come from? the "new york times" article once again raises that question like, where did that come from? who put it into the narrative and why hasn't anybody talked about it? >> that's a great point because we know in gregory hicks' testimony in front of congress saying his jaw dropped when he heard susan rice on the sunday morning talk shows. >> right. and i think that's the thing. again, witness testimony, intelligence information, other alternative reporting from other networks such as fox and others have come to the same conclusion. al-qaeda was behind the attack. this was a planned effort. so for the "new york times" to raise this and do it in such a way that they're actually doubling down on stupid, if you will, it doesn't make sense at this point in time because again, the narrative is clear, it's been factually vetted by everybody, and now they're trying to change it. i think that becomes, despite the fact they're trying to say it's not political, i think it is by the fact that everybody else has come to separate, logic-based conclusion. >> i think you're right.
