i see a health care rollout that had a lot of bumps but now the website is working. people are are -- >> working? half the website isn't built. he has the lowest approval rating at the end of a fifth year than any president since richard nixon. george w. bush had a higher approval rating. >> people are getting health care that couldn't get it before. >> you believe that? >> yes. >> do you really believe that? >> absolutely. >> go ahead and finish. >> more and more every day. the irs, quote/unquote scandal wasn't a scandal. it was the irs doing its job to keep political organizations of both stripes from -- >> hang on. one at a -- >> the fact that you are still justifying the irs scandal targeting conservatives is appalling. i'm not surprised because the president did it, too. he said i think this is outrageous and in no way should

dragged into another war. >> did the american people did it or did obama back away from the red line? . sp this was an outcry. i have never seen such numbers of unity among the people of the country saying we don't want to do this. >> he went behind the backs of the israelis and saudis and made a deal and negotiated with iran who i don't trust, who i think is on the way to making a nuclear weapon because of him. >> -- of america and a presidency that's failing. around the world we are losing respect, influence. you're right about iran. a red line was crossed. look t at what's happening in ukraine now. bottom line, we are losing. the russians and chinese are winning. we are more divided than we have ever been before. amy was right about how the scandals played out here. around the world, we have become something of a laughingstock.

welcome back to the sp welcome back to this special edition of "hannity t." we have already counted down the big storieses of t year. now it's time to focus on the scandals. thanks to the bumbling obama administration, quite a few to choose from. unfortunately we have to narrow the list down to five. here's what we came up with. >> the nsa specifically targets

the communications of everyone. it ingests them by default. collects them in the system. >> does the nsa collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of americans? >> no, sir. >> it does not. >> not wittingly. >> even if you are not doing anything wrong you are being watched and recorded. >> you have gotten into who they might be googling. you have gotten into who they might be e-mailing. what else do you feel you can get. >> with respect to the government subpoena of phone records at the associated press, i'm troubled by the notion that our government would pursue such a broad array of media phone records. >> this was done in secret. these a.p. reporters didn't know that these lines were being tapped.

>> journalists should not be at legal risk for doing their jobs. our focus must be on those who break the law. >> i don't know what happened there with the interaction between the a.p. and the justice department. i was recused from the case. >> we cannot allow the fbi or this administration to deny the congress access to vital information to tell the story of benghazi. >> the whole issue of talking points frankly throughout the process has been a side show. >> we have had a has sieve cover-up. >> we had four dead americans because of a protest or because of guys out for a walk who decided to kill americans? what difference, at this point, does it make? >> we care and the american people care and the families of four brave american who is sacrificed their lives unnecessarily. they care. >> the irs admitted to targeting conservatives.

>> if, in fact, irs personnel were intentionally targeting conservative groups then that's outrageous. >> who gave the orders? where did this come from? >> can you hear us now? >> i certainly didn't know anything about the i.g. report. >> my question isn't who will resign. my question is who is going to jail over this scandal? >> if you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. in you like your health care plan, you will be with able to keep your health care plan. what we said was you could keep it. if it hasn't changed since the law has passed. >> the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to people and let them keep what they've got. >> i am sorry that they are finding themselves this is this situation based on assurances they got from me. >> sound off on facebook and twitter throughout the hour. we bring back our studio audience. here you have the irs scandal, nsa, benghazi.

>> the nsa was key. that was a moment when barack obama lost people on the left who care about civil liberties and privacy. it was key because the libertarian wing of the party, the rand pauls were able to defend civil liberties. it was an opportunity to define which party is standing up for privacy rights. if not this administration who can we look to? it was a rising moment for the libertarian wing. we also learned we are lied to a lot. how many think we are lied to throughout the year? you are hesitant. >> i'm hesitant about the use of the word "lie". >> if you like your plan you can keep it. benghazi was because of a youtube video. >> i don't like the word lie when it comes to george bush or barack obama. i think we need to have a

civilized discussion about the problems of this country including the ones we have been seeing. >> noah works at mediaite and i know if i tell a lie -- your website will kill me. >> we're watching you. we're following you all the time. where's tommy? he's after me all the time. >> that's his job. >> that's good for us. did the president lie this year? >> he does but i share your concern of the use of the word lie. but there were a lot of misleading statements. of the scandals you listed each is simmering in the background. they will be a factor with the exception of the a.p. scandal involving journalist records. that was addressed immediately, comprehensively. the doj opened up back channels to the press and created a way to air grievances that weren't so public. that one got to them. >> don't think the effect is that the press is scared to death with justification about what could or will happen? i am. >> you're a democrat. did the president lie? >> the president's credibility

has been put in question with action and words that can't be explained. >> tamara holder, you started as a staunch believer. barbara walters was quoted as saying about the presidency, we thought he would be the mess messiah. >> i don't think anybody should think somebody else will be the messiah. the problem is the divided nature, specifically just the panels that we have. we are fighting about the problems of 2013. what can we do together as a nation because barack obama has been with -- why can't we have the issue where we can all agree on certain things like should pe pre-existing conditions covered? all of the problems. >> how do we have that debate

when you have a president that will not allow a debate on health care though everything he sold us isn't true. >> he was re-elected in -- >> so was the congress. they were re-elected. >> the economy lost. he didn't put a good argument forward. >> there was a check and a balance. >> so i'myou. do we impreach president obama? >> did anyone hear that? i didn't say that. >> what's your solution? we have two visions for the country. you have the obama version. i have the hannity version. >> you have big government. >> you have people who believe in the free market and the private sector. when republicans argue for purchasing insurance across state lines they are not being heard because big government advocates -- >> take us out. >> one of the favorite mistruths if we are not saying lie, of progressives is there are no alternatives to obamacare. obamacare is terrible.

to see the same president that was willing to see the government shut down because republicans in congress were going to delay obamacare turned around and delayed obamacare himself alone without congress, bamboozled people. you wonder why we have disapproval ratings of the president. no one trust it is government. 2013 was a rough year for the station. the american people lost. >> we were talking about whether or not obama was the biggest loser, is collapsing. i think his view of liberalism which is that government can do big, great, wonderful things. that was the biggest loser of 201. the website revealed that even if you have everything set up, all the votes in for pushing the legislation through, when you have to implement it and get

started it fell apart. i think his vision of government really lost in 2013. >> i think the biggest problem is those that continue to defend the irs scandal, to prevend like it is not a problem. to write off and apologize for an intrusive government. >> you say the media that covers for him? >> i don't agree with with a lot but when the nsa scandal happens, he called it. i don't understand people who continue to to defend obamacare. who continue to defend the irs scandal. i was one of the people targeted. don't tell me that was not malicious intent on the part of people who thought i was their political opposition. it's morally reprehensible. >> one of the biggest losers is your voice which is half gone. >> i agree. i think the american people are the biggest losers. the fact that 85% of the country wanted changes in gun control and republicans voted against it. as we get into the end of the t year, early next year the
