sided by a scandal by some of his top aids. >> i come out here today to apologize to the people of new jersey. i am embarrassed and humiliated by the conduct of some of the people on my team. >> mayor accepting that apology, but back in september 3rd lanes of the george washington bridge were closed in his city for four-days causing massive delays. they claim it was for a traffic study until texts and e-mails emerged revealing the move was political pay back. top aids against suck lich for not endorsing christie's reelection bid. >> i had no knowledge or involvement in this issue in its planning or execution. i am stunned the abject stupidity that was shown here.

>> christie fired the deputy chief of staff who sent texts and e-mails about the closing. he told his former campaign manager to withdraw for consideration for state gop chairman and david wild steen a former port authority was held in contempt of court for pleading the 5th during a hearing. he met with the mayor to apologize face to face. >> i take him for his word which is he had nothing to do with it. i said this once i said it 100 times, we in port lee a-- fort are not routing for facts to come about and surface that would suggest in some shape or form that he was involved in it. he with take him for his word. >> the fbi and u.s. attorney's office have launched an investigation. you can see this is far from over. >> thank you so much, mary ann. >> six new jersey residents are filing a class action lawsuit

over bridge gate. the plaintiff's lawyer saying the traffic jams were deliberate brat and her clients were late for work, one even suffering a panic attack. the delays doubled response times for ambulances including one for a 91-year-old lady. she was unconscious. she ended up dying of cardiac arrest at the hospital. her daughter telling the new york times she doesn't think the closings have anything to do with her mother's death. simply saying it was just her time. time for a look at who is talking and a whole lot of people are reacting how governor crist tee is handling bridge gate as a leader. this scandal actually serves the governor in a positive way some say. >> this serves him in three-ways. it gave him a chance to look like what a president is, an executive. he acted, made decisions. second, every campaign has a crisis sooner or later. mr. obama has a crisis right in

the middle of his campaign. this gives him a chance of how to handle this. the real taste of scrutiny that comes with presidential politics. >> governor crist tee saved himself by taking action and using honest words like humiliated and saddened during his news conference. 100,000 in west virginia are without water after a chemical spill. it leaked from the tank and spilled into the river yesterday. the governor declaring a state of emergency for nine counties. they aren't sure how much contaminated the water or how long it will take to flush out of the river. people in the affected areas are being warned don't drink the water, bathe, cook or wash your clothe with tap water. boiling the water won't even make it safe. that sent tens of thousands of people to the stores in search of bottled water or another

liquid. people started buying bags of ice instead. >> we are going to melt it douvenlt that's what we are going to do like we did back in the day. take like a bird bath. >> schools in five of the counties are closed today. right now there are no illnesses or injuries to report. >> the manhunt for the road rage killer who shot a driver dead in pennsylvania has now spread to kentucky. timothy davidson was killed early saturday morning while driving in pennsylvania when he was fatally shot by a driver who drove him off the road. that investigation leading police to believe there may be a connection between davidson's killer and the person who shot police officer jason ellis on the side of a kentucky highway. >> when you have the magnitude of the investigation.

afghanistan only getting worse. hamid karzai agreed to free 72 prisoners considered a danger to the united states. there problems to come. elizabeth prann is live for us in washington to explain all of this. >> in a statement hamid karzai said he found no evidence or little evidence and 72 prisoners must be set free. they strongly opposed their release and want 88 prisoners to face trials. the prisoners have been involved in terror related crimes. >> as you may also know these 872 de ta knees are dangerous. >> this has been warned the time table set for the agreement

after it has been failed. they are there for troop withdrawal as far as time to assemble a military coalition after. the deadline set for last fall has been delayed numerous times. but last month the u.s. intelligence community warned total withdraw from the country could lead to a rapid clap of government for the taliban. three americans are dead after their military plane went down in eastern afghanistan. the plane, reconnaissance aircraft typically used for surveillance was flying a mission when it crashed. no word what caused it. there was no indication of enemy fire. all three were members of the international security assistance force. doctors for the former israeli prime minister ariel sharon say his condition has deteriorated sharply overnight. his condition now is grave.

>> welcome back. a homicide bomber killed 21 recruits when he detonated a bomb outside of baghdad. a group of recruits were joining the iraqi army to fight al qaeda in the anbar providence. the attack appears to be an attempt by sunni militants to stop government troops to anbar where government fighters have taken control of 22 cities. a girl run over and killed by emergency vehicles after the asian gnaw crash.

the parents are suing the city of san francisco. they say the rescuers were reckless and poorly trained. three people died and hundreds were injured after the airliner slammed into the sea wall of the airport back in july. a twitter account landing kansas high school students into real trouble. they started the fake account to have some fun but it got out of control. tweets began popping up saying inappropriate things about teachers and faculty. the students who started the account was expelled and several others were suspended. a texas man saves the day with two six-packs. the off duty fireman discovered a truck on fire on a texas highway that when a small fire extinguisher didn't work he turned to the truck cargo beer. he shook up 12 cans and began praying them until the fire was finally out and then check out the aftermath. thankfully no one was hurt.

an upgrade for g mail a downgrade exposing users to strangers. lauren simonetti is here to explain this. >> they are launching the new service in the next couple of days. you can type the names in the to field in g mail. users will be able to opt out of this to avoid getting random e-mails they didn't choose to share it with. this is stressing how important e-mail still is at a time when you resort to facebook. stranger danger we call it. they are limiting hours part-time associates can work and many say it's a way to get ahead of obamacare. take a look at this memo. part-time associates should not be scheduled to work more than 25 hours per week. that 25 hours is key.

custody. a group of senators warned him this would cause a major set back in relations with the u.s. here's the response yesterday from the state department. >> they pose a threat to the safety and security of the afghan people and the state are being released without an investigation and without the criminal justice system. it undermines the afghan people and rule of law because they don't get their time in court. >> karzai is likely to miss a deadline to reach a long-term security deal with the united states and absent an agreement the u.s. could be forced to pull out troops by the end of the year much sooner than planned. that raises serious questions whether they are really prepared to stand onnest their own in a much shorter time frame. doug luzader live for us. thank you, doug.

we have freezing rain advisories. these are in effect and it becomes rain. this will be producing areas that are a little bit heavier precipitation. by tonight east of chicago heavy rain in indiana. that storm system will be moving east. saturday you will see rain from the state of maine all of the way down to the florida panhandle. they are in place in the interior portions of the north east due to heavy rain and significant warm-up also the snow melt. otherwise take a look at the lower 48 today. heather and ainsley it looks wonderful. almost every city on this map or every city on this map has temperatures above freezing. the exception of course alaska. so it is back to normal. georgia is warmer than alaska. earlier we had parts warmer in georg georgia alaska than georgia.

coffee spilled on her lap. anonymously rating companies on-line, have you ever done that? a poor decision could change the rules. diane macedo joins us with more on that. virginia appeals court ruled the site must reveal the identities of critical reviews of a carpet cleaning business. they argued the critiques were fraudulent because the users posting them under the description of the service they received didn't match up with the customer data base. they issued a subpoena for the names of 7 of the anonymous critics. they say yelp has to comply. he writes the opinion generally a yeltp review is protected because it's an opinion about a business they patronized. they can express themselves without the fear that anonymity will be pierced. it goes on to say the first amendment does not protect the

xeljanz (tofacitinib) is a small pill, not an injection or infusion, for adults with moderate to severe ra for whom methotrexate did not work well. xeljanz is an ra medicine that can enter cells and disrupt jak pathways, thought to play a role in the inflammation that comes with ra. xeljanz can lower your ability to fight infections, including tuberculosis. serious, sometimes fatal infections andancers have happened in patients taking xeljanz. don't start xeljanz if youe any kind of infection, unless ok with your doctor. tears in the stomach or intestines, low blood cell counts and higher liver tests and cholestel levels have happened. your doctor hould perform blood tests before you start and while taking xeljanz, and routinely check certain liver tests. tell your doctor if you have been to a region where certain fungal infections are common, and if you have had tb, hepatitis b or c, or are prone to infections. tell your doctor about all the medicines y take, and if you are pregnant, or plan to be.
