>> if you did any shopping over the ohio you might want to check your credit card statement. now there are multiple reports that hackers hit at least four other major retailers. we'll tell you which ones. so let's get too it. >> good monday afternoon. a fox urgent right now. the southwest airline flight that accidentally, somehow, landed at the wrong airport in missouri? is about to take off from the wrong airport. the challenge here is the wrong airport has a runway that we about too short for these passenger jets, and the runway ends with a cliff. a live look at the plane right now. all started last night when a southwest airlines flight from chicago to branson, mist, but instead of landing in branson, it landed at a much smaller airport a few miles away. thankfully nobody got hurt but it was clearly a very risky
12:01 pm
landing. this airport is meant for small planes and small private jets. not a 737. compare the two runways. the one on the right where is the plane landed. and then the one on the left is where it was supposed to touch down. you can see that on the big wall here the sizes are very different. passengers report a very hard braking during the landing, they smelled burning rubber, they said. the plane stopped a mere 200 feet from the steep dropoff at the end of the runway. well, this comes after that case in november when one of the biggest cargo jets in all the world landed at the wrong airport in wichita, kansas. the feds are now investigating this latest case with the southwest flight, just the latest public relations nightmare for that airline. and speaking of hard landings, over the summer a southwest jet landed nose first at la guardia. it caused the front landing gear to collapse and puncture part of the plane. at least nine people got hurt.
12:02 pm
>> ha gabrielle is live at he gordon heguard ya. >> southwest says the plane could be take offering any mint now. we have live video. you can see the boeing 737 at the airport nope at m-gram clark's downtown airport. last night was a nerve-racking experience for people on board when it landed on a much shorter runway than expected. take a look. these are pictures one passenger shared with me through his twitter account. there will 130 people on board. listen to how a couple of them described the way it felt when they landed. >> i thought the landing was a little bumpy, but we kind of were pushed forward and where we almost hit or heads on the seat in front of us. >> all these planes sitting out there so kind of hard to imagine that they didn't know they
12:03 pm
shouldn't have been there. there wasn't another plane in sight, and nothing inside. >> now, southwest bussed the passengers to branson airport, they also brought in another airplane to fly the passengers who were continuing on to their final debt nations. they released a statement that says in part, quote: we continue to look into the circumstances which led the pilot in command of flight 4013 from chicago, to land the airport several miles from the branson airport we serve. we are cooperating with the authorities in this investigation. now, shep, also said they reached out to each customer and have apologized to them and reimbursed them for their ticket. >> lea, you're a pilot. how does this happen? >> shep, there's a lot of tools that pilots have besides just theirs eyes to use when navigating, and pilots are trained to use instruments to back themselves up. now, this jet was comping from
12:04 pm
the north, and pilots are likely to have actually seen the small airport before they would have seen the branson airport. look at the similarities. they have similar configurations, both have one long landing strip that serves as two different runways and the runways are 20 degrees off in orientation. now, again, this is why pilots are trained to back up what they see visually with instruments. spoke with a former ntsb vice-president who said that airlines require they're -- their pilots to do just that. >> assuming their instruments were working properly, there's no excuse for it. it's just the -- it's sloppiness, really, because they're not following the procedures. >> now, i spoke with a passenger just a few minutes ago who was still pretty worked up from last night's experience. he said he finally got into his intended destination about four hours later than expected, and he said when theyland that
12:05 pm
essentially they lurched forward in their seats. that's when everyone new something was wrong and he could smell burning rubber and when they got out of the airplane they could see the end of the runway was 100 feet from where they were. >> lea, live from la gird ya. thank you. >> continuing coverage of the breaking news we were reporting out of the west coast of florida. a theater shooting and now fox news confirmed one person has died as a result of that shooting. this happened just north of tampa, in the town of wesley chapel. now we know why. according to the sheriff, it was all over a cell phone. apparently the victim was making some noise and that's when the sheriff says the suspect got all mad, pulled out a gun, and shot two people. again, one of those people hat since confirmed to have died. a good samaritan inside the theater held down the suspect until the deputies got there. the county fire and rescue

responded to the scene, which is now we're told under control. this all happened during a showing of "lone survivor" the movie about navy seals. target was not the only retailer to have major security breach over the holiday season. there's word now that thieves hit as many as four other big-name stores. and now house democrats are demanding an investigation. here's the latest. a spokeswoman for neiman marcus says hackers snatched customers' credit and deb card information and may have used that stolen dat to make purchases. that spokeswoman for neiman says the company is working with the secret service, but she does not say how many customers this affects. of course, target last week did admit that thieves stole personal information from am least 70 million of its customers, not the 40 million it originally reported. right now there is no word of any connection between the target and the neiman marcus

takes but sources say at least three other welsh known stores got hit over the holidays, and that other breaches may have happened earlier in the year. keep in mind this target attack could turn out to be the largest security breach ever for any retailer. that's take this to a lawyer, adam thompson, criminal defense attorney and civil law attorney. four other retailers. they won't even tell us what they are yet. >> it's going to be a financial nightmare, this is just disastrous, these companies have affirmingtive obligation to make sure everyone's percentage information is protected. to allow computers to get hacked and then who knows what went on in stores -- people's credit card information and now possibly their personal information. who know if it's addresses, dobs, social security numbers -- how far this can go. might lead to identity theft. >> our understanding from the news report is that these four other major retailer were connote who they are -- but they know and haven't told customers.
12:08 pm
>> that's ridiculous. they have an obligation to come out and say, here's what happened, hearings what we know. contact the parties that could be affected because they don't know what cards were taken or not. they have an obligation to let consumers know. without doing that, that delays the investigative process, delays people being able to tack affirmative steps to change credit cards, change pin codessed, and going to make it worse. >> this is happening more often. this target is the biggest ever. there is a national standard that is firm and solid here? or do we need more on the national level? >> there is an affirmed standard at this point. what is ironic, of all the retailers, target is the number one protected company out there in terms of security. they actually provide security advice to the federal government in terms of investigating crimes and things along that nature. so the fact that they would have been the first target from whoever this black market group of criminals is that is perpetrating these crimes, it's very strange they wouldn't start
12:09 pm
somewhere else that is much weaker. they started with tearing and if target can get hacked, anybody can be hacked. >> people are protected by credit card companies but only if you catch it. if you shopped anywhere over the holidays, get busy. >> they have to let the consumers know so you pull up your credit reports. if you don't ex-forget it. people could have your information. forget about a $10 charge at credit store. they could be alying for loans, filling out applications and getting tax refunds. opposite they have that basic information, the sky is the limit to these guys. >> don't need to just check your credit card statement. you need to get a credit report. >> the stores should make the first step, that all their consumers -- they too shoo pay to allow whoever they think is affected to get free credit reports they pay for so people can scrutinize charges and report any deficiencies or fraud they find. >> good to see you, thank you. a couple of controversial
