responsibility for his failure, the president blames everybody else. and this week he's taken it to an all-time low. during an interview, he said there's no doubt that there's some folks who really dislike me because they don't like the idea of a black president. now the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because i am a black president. that is not the only controversial remark he made during the interview. he shocked the country with his position on pot. as has been well documented i smoked pot as a kid and i view it as a bad habit and vice. i don't think it more dangerous than alcohol. no kidding. it's been well documented. he bragged about it in his book. >> i spent the last yearing of high school in a daze.

he happened to be african-american. >> let he jump in here, guys. >> it was a healthy moment for america in 2008. his approval rating was approaching 80%. he had super majorities in the house and in the senate. >> and we got stuff done. >> we argue that he blew that goodwill. >> let me run off with these numbers. he's entering the sixth year of his presidency. what he called $9 trillion in debt, unresponsible and now we're at $17 trillion. the number of people on food stamps has doubled. labor participation rate at a low. considering this is about race, are minority americans, are black americans, hispanic americans, richard, are you making the case that they're now better off because he's been there five years? are you really going to make that case? >> i don't think the president made a case about race. he was stating the obvious.

speak ill of a man who was killed in such appalling circumstances, but is it fair to also say that he, as the ambassador, should have done more to react to direct warnings that he was given on numerous occasions? >> here's what was new and what i thought was interesting. they timely said the ambassador, chris stevens, great guy, brave guy, gutsy, he does bear some responsibility. i'm sorry. he put the trust in the local militias and they turned on him, because you probably shouldn't trust local militias in libya. >> mr. mayor, the senate report actually said, had in fact they listened to the request for security by ambassador stevens, they coo have prevented this. i'm not sure what their interpretation is. >> i don't understand this trying to re-write history. not only the ambassador's

people that were meeting with the president knew it was a terrorist attack while it was happening. so, you know, that whole narrative was one big lie that it was youtube related, right? >> absolutely the questions here have never been answered, and they're dramatic questions. they're questions about six months' of requests for security, nothing done by the secretary of state. specific acts of terrorism against the mission. nothing done by the secretary of state. the british move out. nothing done by the secretary of state. a terrorist act clearly starts that day and no reaction on the part of either the secretary or the president the way you would row act if you were really acknowledging that a terrorist attack was going on. and totally inexplicable to me, we don't try to send our forces there. and the explanation that we get is there wasn't enough time. how would you know there want enough time when the incident's going on. you don't know if the incident's going to be four hours or 24
