[ applause ] so let me say it again. the republicans don't have a war on women. but a war for women. we want them to have the puower to choose their children's schools and not be forced to accept the government's choice for one that fails. we want them to be treated with respect for the decisions they make, whether a decision to raise children or enter the work force. for the democrats to believe that women can't make it without dependence on the government program or giveaway is disgusting. there was a reason that i appointed more women to executive positions than any governor in my state's history including bill clinton. i believe they could do the job and do it well. if the democrats want to patronize women that's their business. but the public deserves professional and accurate journalism whether it is reported by men or women. and last week, some in the media could have used a little

going to be income inequality. wants to work on that this year. what's wrong with that? >> for millenials it's hard to care about income inequality. they didn't have income. 16% are unemployed. 1/3 of them are living at home. median household was $27,000 for a household, now it is $6,000. obama's america. mass unemployment. health care preyumiums three times. millenials are the poor, income inequality. they're not buying the president's message. it's full of broken promises. we will hear more broken promises. >> the president long said. we all have, a college education was a ticket to a better future, belter belter -- better income, better life. they're coming out. have a huge debt.

what would you look to see policies changed that would help you look at the future and say i got a shot? >> i would be optimistic if we saw regulation, regulation wasn't in froep deutroduced, fo regulation sake. i would like to see the democratic senate take up some of the republican's house jobs bill. that would be, that would be a really good start. >> what about the bill would you like? >> i would be very, very happy with -- with the tax, tax cuts in the jobs bill. tax cuts. spurs jobs growth. millenials going back home living with their parents. not seeing the jobs. they're unemployed. underemployed. that could really help. >> let me ask you about income inequality issue. does it concern you, we are creating almost a division in the america between the have/have-notes.

there is income ineve caquality. what should or could the government do to address the fact that there are so many working harder but not getting ahead? >> i think you have to look at education reform. first and foremost. at the lower level. introducing school choice. smart, young people can go to schools in their area that are best for them but also those children who might need a little more help. go to the schools best for them as well. that's number one. then those kids will be able to get scholarships if they're going to the schools that are right for them to public universities. number two, once they get to the universities, as you just mentioned before, that they're graduating with large loads of debt. and the big thing at the higher education level is that, what we are going to have to do in order to make sure that those kids are not burdened by the debt, buy houses and whatnot through their lifetime. that the government is more transparent. the government runs the public universities. is more transparent with what you are getting for the degree. if you are going to go to university you should be able to

might be thinking what could be controversial about soda stream. well, soda stream is an israeli company and critics don't like the fact that it operates in an israeli neighborhood where some people wish that israelis wouldn't live. some groups really wish scarlet wouldn't endorse soda stream. one such group international charity ox-fam. it issued this statement -- oxfame respects the independence of our ambassadors, however oxfame believes that businesses that denight rights of the palestinian communities that we work to support. owe pose to all trade from israeli settlements which are illegal interinternational law. we have made our concerns known to ms. johannsen and engaged in a dialogue on important issues. while you are dialoguing oxfame, i hope you will go learn a little bit about what soda

stream is doing in those neighborhoods. are you aware that they're hiring palestinians? at wages they have never earned before. wages by the way which are exactly equal to what any israeli is getting at the factory. this is an example of what all right to be happening in the middle east. palestinians and jewish israelis working side by side in a company without their political differences getting in the way of taking a good paycheck home to their families. what's wrong with that? soda stream in creating good jobs and giving equal pay and benefits is doing a whole lot more to improve peace in the middle east than your organization ever has or will. well, president obama gave an interview to the new yorker magazine. the part that got the most coverage is that he didn't think marijuana was as dangerous as alcohol. what didn't get a lot of

he has overcome adversity since he was left paraplegic in an accident when he was out on a jog at the age of 26. he is an outstanding public servant. he deserves better than the ridicule that he received from people who claim to be political operatives. if that's the brand of politics that we are going to have off to tolerate and put up with in america, then we all need to get out and vote and make sure people look that don't get electelect ed to anything. well, during the original olympics in ancient greece, wars were suspended. a truce was established to allow athletes and spectators to travel safely to the games. the concept has been revived in modern times, but the threat of violence at the winter games in soe sochi is real. actor/activist steven segal has close ties to russia and he will join me next to talk about what is coming of in the olympics.

terrifying moments in maryland at a deadly mall shooting. police identified two people killed, a 21-year-old girl and 25-year-old boy, they were killed when some one open fired. five others were hurt. police say the shooting ended when the suspect turned the gun on himself. they deployed a robot and found crude explosives in his bag. the ex-mplosives have been disabled. the police response was quick but took several hours to evacuate the stores. cops eventually found the body of the suspect near a gun and ammunition. we still don't know the identity of the shooter or why he opened fire in the mall packed with weekend shopper. now back to "huckabee."

the state department is warning athletes not to wear team usa gear outside olympic village in russia after the u.s. and several european countries received threatening e-mail messages warning of a terrorist attack. international olympic committee officials have shot down those threats. but the hunt continues for black widow suicide bombers plotting to disrupt the winter games. russian police are looking for a female terrorist suspect targeting the olympics. security officials say the 22-year-old penetrated the 1,500 mile ring of steel around sochi with plans to attack the winter games. but she may not be alone. two other female extremists have been named believed off to be planning an attack on the final leg of the olympic torch relay. the so-called black widows don't fit the mold of a typical

terrorist. and can more effectively blend into a crowd. they're trained muslim women recruited by extremists sent to avenge the deaths of their husband or family members. islamic militants from russia's north caucuses. the manhunt follows last month's back to back suicide bombings in the nearby city that killed 34 people. an islamic militant group claimed sponlt f claimed -- claimed responsibility for the attacks. some have told their loved ones to stay at home. >> they're not going to go. i think not worth it. >> preparing for the worst, the u.s. is sending two warships to the black sea and placing several air craft on stand by ready to evacuate thousand of americans in the case of an attack. actor steven segal has taken on the enemy in "under siege" but in real life an unofficial ambassador who developed a

friendly relationship with vladamir putin. something our own president has not been able to do. steven helped arrange a fact finding mission to russia for six members of congress after the boston marathon bombings last year when no one else was able to get it done. steven segal joins me now. honor to have you here. thank you for being part of the show. thank you for having me. you have a good relationship with vladamir putin and the world attention is on the stage of russia because of the olympics do. you feel confident that he and the russian government can make this a safe environment for the people of the world who gather for the olympics? >> i don't think there is any such thing as 100% guarantee on anything in life. as you know, you could walk out to -- you know buy a bag of sugar and get hit by a car.

so, anything is possible. i do know the group very, very well. i think they're some of the best anti-terrorist crack commandos in the world. i know them very well, actually. and i think that by virtue of the fact that they have so much experience with terrorism. you couldn't have a better group of guys that are out there searching them out, and getting rid of them or getting them neutralized. one of the spectacular group of intel people. in the world. i just think the chances of any of these suicide bombers actually being able to pull it off are extremely remote, by virtue of the fact that -- you know, sochi is on such high alert. they have got amazing assets in place with, with great liaison

all over the world. president putin is doing the best he can. and, they're really some of the best on earth. so -- it's going to be pretty tough for anybody to pull it off. >> you have a good relationship with vladamir putin. it seems like that our government right now does not. some over snowden, some over syria. if you could give advice to the president. what would you give him to warm the relationships between the united states and russia. >> when you say the president, you mean obama? >> yes. >> yeah. well, we are talking about two presidents here. my advice to president obama would be that -- it's extremely important to have russia as our ally. they're a powerful country with spectacular natural resources and, wonderful leadership. and -- i believe that they are

our friends. i think one of the only ways in the world we will survive without getting swallowed by other super powers or adversely affected is to be -- best friends with russia to be, i think they should be our great allies. i think they would look to beep our great allies. and my advice to president of the united states would be to please consider these words. because i know -- russia is, is very open to -- a fair, wonderful, strong, sincere relationship where we can both really help each other. >> you think russia haute ought give edward snowden to the u.s.? a good idea or not da good idea? >> the problem is we don't really know what happened. i have spoken intimately, num ru numerous occasions to congress. and a lot of them are under the strong impression that snowden is not necessarily a criminal. and possibly even a hero.
