huckabee tonight. >> ladies and gentlemen, governor mike huckabee. (applause) and thank you. thank you very much. and welcome to huckabee. from the fox news studios in new york city. okay last week in this very segment, i explained that i think democrats that accuse republicans of a so- called war on women were outrageously insulting and condescending to woman by treating them victims of their jeopardier, for democrats to reduce women for beggars for cheap funded birth control is demeaning to the women i know who are far more complicated that the li biddo and management of the reproductive system. >> well, the reaction on facebook was positive and from women.
12:02 am
we got this from christina web. amazing monlog for life. deplore said loving tonight's opening monlog. and carolyn. bravo on your opening monlog. well said. >> and well, folks, i got a strong well educated and capable wife who can do things i can't do and she is a lot tougher than me in many ways. i assure you, she is not helpless. she conquered cancer and raised kids and run disaster relief for the red cross and build houses in the work for habitat for humanity. and i explained certain women to survive without government bailing them out is demeaning to women. my daughter and daughter-in-law are strong professional women who are anything but helpless. this past week, i had an opportunity to speak to it a republican national committee. >> our party stands for the
12:03 am
recognition of the equality of women and capacity of women. that is not a war on them. it is a war for them. and if the democrats want to insult the women of america by making them believe that they are helpless without uncle sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they can't control the li biddo or reproductive system. without the help of the government. let's take that discussion all over american because women are far more than the democrats have played them to be. >> so i repeated. i repeated those words for my monlog. and i learned that you my television audience is much smarter than the media types who cover politics. danna barb of cnn and msnbs tweeted out what they somehow thought i had said and they tweeted this. >> rnc meeting mike huckabee

said federal government shouldn't help women who can't control li biddo with birth control. casy hunt. huckabee women helpless without uncle sugar providing birth control because they can't control their li biddo. >> they tweeted the exact opsowed what i said. to their credit after their colleagues pointed it out they tried to issue corrections and even then white house press secretary was reacting to a phony story. >> not that long ago in the rnc winter meeting mike huckabee said the democrats message to women is that they are -- reading from the report they are helpless without uncle sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their li biddo or reproductive system without the

help of government. >> i haven't sewn had report. that sounds offensive to me and women. >> let me tell you who said it. jay. i didn't say it. the reporter said it and like you, i am offended by their misinterpretations. (applause) well, of course, carne is experienced at responding to a lot of phony stories and lies like you can keep your doctor, you can keep your health insurance. and benghazi was because of youtube video. and we don't spy on american. and good old debbie waszer- man shuts and a mped up the lie and immediately begged for money off of it. here is a fact, it is impossible for women to be equal and characterized as helpless victims dependent on the government to survive. facts tonight get in the way of liberals who rather shout than talk. so let me say it again!
12:06 am
the republicans don't have a war on women. but a war for women. we want them to have the power to choose their children's schools and not forceed to accept the government's choice for one that fails. we want to be treated with respect for the decisions they make bl whether it is raising children or entering the work force. for democrats to believe that women can't make it without government aid was disgusting. there is a reason i appointed more women to executive positions than any governor in my state's history including bill clinton. i believe they can do the job well. if democrats want to patroy tronnize women that's their business. last woke, some of the media could have used a little assistance in trying to be a little more accurate. a lot more accurate in fact.
12:07 am
(applause) well, we heard the mainstream media reaction. how do millennials feel about what i. francisa and shy ellis studying political science in the university of notre dame. and editor of political prospect. (applause) >> well, guys it is great to have you here. francessa you are a female and millennial. and how much government do you need? >> first, i want to respond to the monlog and point out when sarah silverman gets up and does a live telethon for abortion she raffles a vagina napkin. it barely hits the media but you
12:08 am
say li biddo it is a national story. i am frustrated by the media. >> i didn't see it as a vulgar thing. it is a dpod- given. >> i want another female voice in here. kayly. you hear democrats say women will have to have help with such things as birth control pills, i don't care if they get then, but i don't feel women should feel complimented that they are reduced to. that >> you hit the nail on the head. i applaud your courage for saying that. the fact is, the democrats definition of a independent woman is one that demands the right to terminate her child and they paint an independent woman that is not an independent woman. that is a dependent woman and the war on women is waged by the democratic party it is painting
12:09 am
woman as victims. i am not be a victim and francessa will agree. >> i will throw it out there. i don't know if we have an opinion on. this it was not popular. go ahead step in the hole with me, my friend. come on. >> and given how controversial that the topic is, i wouldn't have gone with the word li biddo and i would have said women are more than what the democrats make them out and more than the choices they make and they are our mothers and daughters and aunts and nieces and nephews and everyone should soak to treat women with dignityy and respect and equality. (applause) >> you know what, i wish you had been around last week you could have protected me from the stuff i found myself. >> i want to find out how you feel about obama's latest push

what should the government do to address the fact that so many people are working harder and not getting ahead? >> look at edkagdz reform in the lower level and introducing school choice and so that smart young people can go to schools in the area that are best for them and those concern that need more help. that is number one and then those kids will be able to get scholarships if they are going to the schools right for them to public universities. number two, as you mentioned before. they are graduating with large loads of debt and the big thing in higher education level, what we have to do in order to make sure those kids are not burdened by the debate and so they can buy houses in their lifetime, that the government is more transparent and they run the public universities is more transparent of what you are getting for the degree. you should be able to see how many other people got jobs and the percentages and how many

12:25 am
are you aware they are hiring palestinians at wages that they never in their lives earned before in wages by the way that are exactly equal to what israelis are getting at the factory? this is an example of what ought to happen in the middle east. palestinian ands jewish israelis working side by side in a company without political differences getting in the way of both of them taking a good paycheck home to their families. what is wrong with. that i suggest that soda stream in creating good jobs is doing a lot more to improve peace in the middle east than your organization ever has or will. president obama gave an sprue to the new yorker mag wreen and the part that got the most coverage he didn't think marijuana was as dangerous as alcohol. what didn't get a lot of coverage is how obama characterized al-qaeda.
12:26 am
the analogy we use here and i think is accurate. a j- v team puts on a lakers uniforms that doesn't make them kobe bryant. i think there is a distinction tone the capacity of bin laden and a network that is planning terrorist plants against the home land versus jihaddist that are in local power struggles and disputes. >> for someone in a middle of controversy over what i said, i am surprised that the president is not in a controversy over suggesting that the al-qaeda operatives that blow up american citizens and wreak ha voc and threaten the olympics games are nothing but j- v players and junior varsity. the families of those threatened and the peace of the olympics is at rick tells us it is a little more than amateurist. >> james soph y and his group
