family speaking out moments ago. >> she will not be sent back to prison. we will talk about what happens next. >> amanda knox says she would have to be dragged back to italy kicking and screaming. this is the center of an international media frenzy for more than 6 years. they sentenced knox and her former boyfriend for more than 28 years of prison after nearly 12-hours of deliberations by two judges and 6 jurors. knox was convicted of killing her roommate meredith kercher in 2009. that was overturned and they were released from prison. italy's supreme court overturned that decision and sent the case back for a third trial. this is the result of that. meredith kercher's family is looking forward to when the whole ordeal is over.

it is still a little chilly out there in places like atlanta with current windchill of 25 degrees. teens in raleigh, north carolina. much colder across portions of the midwest. inminneapolis one of the coldest spots. windchill minus 21 degrees. you have to bundle up as you head outdoors. highs are only going to make it into the single digits in minneapolis. atlanta and raleigh you will make it above freezeing into the 50's. that should allow the ice and snow to melt across many of the regions in the southeast. otherwise we have winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings in it effect across colorado because we could pick up to over a foot of snow in some of the higher elevations. chicago, by the way, into saturday you could see over six inches of snow. that will be something to watch currently under a winter storm watch. >> thank you, maria. >> they lost their lunch so they took to the street.
