northeast. we have a number of winter storm warnings across northeastern parts of kentucky through ohio all of the way eastward into sections of new york city including long island. we are looking at some accumulations at least the higher ones being 5 inches of snow. then brand new watches and warnings issued across the center of the country because we have our next storm system coming in impacting the country. tonight that's another storm system we will be tracking. otherwise temperatures behind both of these systems heather and ainsley are looking much colder for most of the country. take a look at wednesday into thursday. bridged air across the great lakes and midwest. kansas city the high temperature out there 14 degrees single tig gets for you in far go. >> wintery minding us it is still here. a tragic logs in hollywood

this morning. phillip seymour hoffman dead of an apparent overdose. we are live outside of the actor's new york city apartment with more. >> a somber scene here in the early morning hours in greenwich village outside phillip seymour hoffman's apartment a rented apartment he often uses as office space. candles and flowers left there. his body removed from this apartment at 6:40 last night 7 hours after the shocking discovery was made by a friend and screen writer who grew concerned after being unable to reach him according to police. investigators finding his body 11:30 sunday morning with a syringe in his arm and envelope carrying heroin. he appeared in more than 50 films in a career that lasted 25

years. among his many notable films his role in capote that earned him a best actor award. he was nominated three times for supporting roles appearing in mission impossible in 2006, money ball in 2011 and the hunger games catching fire in 2013. he was long known to struggle with addiction. in an interview in 2006 he had given up drugs at age 22 but last year he checked into a rehab center after ten-days after using prescription drugs that turned him on to heroin once again. a lot of friends very shocked and saddened by this terrible news. a big, big loss for new york city and hollywood. >> and for his family and his children. thank you for being out there with us. they search for a convicted quadruple murderer who somehow

super bowl history. the hawks never looked back at their defense. payton manning and the broncos and the turnovers including two interceptions. the hawks got a 69 interception return malcolm smith making it 22-0. percy har sris put the nail on the coffee with a sensational 87 yard kickoff return to open the second half and it was really all over from there. malcolm smith with the mvp the seattle seahawks with their first national championship. seattle going crazy with the fireworks with the needle. over there at pioneer square the 12th man really enjoying the celebration at that cias the ci sees their first national championship since 1979 when the sonices won. big win for the seattle seahawks. another great super bowl here at super bowl xlviii. >> i felt bad for payton manning. he looked so sad.
