question, this olympics is under a level of threat we haven't seen for some time. >> russian aviation authorities are banning all liquids saying no amount can be carried on a plane. the threat is real after a pair of suicide bombings in december. terrorists calling on militants to do anything they can to disrupt the games. the russian government has maintained a ring of steel around sochi with tens of thousands of security officers. athletes and spectators are being warned not to wear team logos or stray too far out of town. early competitions are getting underway in sochi today. heather, ainsley? >> marianne rafferty live for us. thank you. a teen who killed four people drunk driving last summer is off the hook for the second time. the judge sparing ethan couch jail time ordering him to rehab inside. you will remember this case

movie. reeves claims it was self defense. three of the four people arrested as a result of the investigation in phillip seymour off man's death now charged with drug charges. the numbers were in his cell phone. one was the struggle will jazz musician robert vineburg. he has ties to a number of celebrities including the late amy wine house. more tests are pending to determine the cause of his death. last night broadway's lights went dark to pay tribute to the 46-year-old actor. new backlash on obamacare. economists now saying the law will hurt the economic growth. they may be cutting insurance all together. elizabeth prann is live for us with the latest on the economic impact. >> good morning heather, this is

one day after a report shows the healthcare law could weaken the economy. results from chief financial officers around the country. the findings say 44 percent of the companies are considering reducing health benefits to employees due to the affordable care act. nearly half are quote reluctant to hire full-time employees because of the law. 40 percent are considering shifting to part-time workers: lawmakers heard from the head of the cbo yesterday. he testified the law could deter people from working full-time. experts say that possibility is very dangerous for the u.s. economy. >> in fact, it is obviously obamacare with a disincentive is creating an incentive not to work. it is particularly in the wrong place where you want the incentive because it was the only way out of the latter of

moving through the area 1-2 inches of snow expected. not a major storm system. take a look at the current windchill temperatures across the middle of the country. in dallas feels like 4 degrees we will be employee zero across the northern plains like minneapolis. even in chicago you are waking up to a windchill temperature at 11 degrees below zero. the headlines in the past several weeks has been the route in nevada and california. good news we have the storm system out here that will produce significant rain and snow into the weekend if we really need it. as i talk back to you no big storm expected in the northeast as of right now. the snow forecast will be updated. when you are down a player it usually doesn't end well. somehow the los angeles lakers pulled it off. they only had 8 eligible players going into the game against the

insurance all together. doug luzader has the latest for us in washington. big numbers to talk about here. a 40 percent duke university did a survey of chief financial officers. that is a percentage of them that will be switching perhaps to heart time workers because of obamacare insurance requirements. the best numbers 44 percent that's the percentage of the same cfo's they will have to start scaling back health benefits because of the walk. finally the big number we have been talking about 2.3 million that was put out by the congressional budget awes. full-time employees will lose as a result of the obamacare disincentives to work. >> et insurance has little. they have income risers. it creates disincentive for

people to work relative to what would have been the case in the absence of that. >> that testimony about the impact of obamacare is causing a number of problems for the administration. the white house saying there are workers enjoying new options. >> it will allow people who are locked in jobs because they desperately needed health insurance because they couldn't get it any other way. getting affordable quality health insurance through the exchanges instead and to start a business perhaps or to stay at home and take care of kids. >> you can argue it's an inevitable side effect. that's not the argument the administration is making. this is a benefit, a wonderful thing that we are giving people the opportunity not to work and to live off the sweat and the work of other people. is that the american way? that sounds odd to me. >> all of the data all of the studies all of these arguments we are going to be hearing again

ainsley. the debate behind the keystone pipeline continuing to eat heat. ken salazar called the product a win win. it would be the national interest to build the pipeline for our energy security and enhance that national interest with the preservation of the dakota grass land conservation area and the prairie pothole region. it comes after the state department releases final environmental impact study on monday. it reads no major objectives to the pipeline that would carry oil from western canada to the refineries along the texas gulf coast. the project will probably not altar global greenhouse gas emissions. the report stated the pipeline would produce more greenhouse gases but blocking the project would not prevent the resources from being developed anyway. the state department has received hundreds of calls from both grit ticks and supporters across the country.
